we have 5 "channels" here in the U.S. Nice to see there are 2 frequencies in common with ours. 5.403.50MHz - USB Frequency and 5.371.50MHz - USB Frequency
I'm new to 60 and it's a fun band. Made a few contacts in the U.S. and Canada on 5.403.5
Thanks for the video. Now to spark some activity on 2 meter SSB

I cant wait to join the Full Licence holder team ! Studying now, aiming to take the exam in June/July (once Uni finishes) - Never even tuned into to listen to 60 meters, having a 7300 I should tune in and listen to where people are from.

Very useful video Tim. I used to do a lot on 60m with a dedicated endfed only 8ft above the ground and it worked so well inter G. I have reprogrammed these frequencies back into my radio and will start spending more time there. Perhaps we can log a QSO there soon. Happy Christmas. Syd

    Great video Tim.
I've recently dug my Kenwood TS-440S/AT and homebrew PSU out of retirement having not been on the air since November 1989! (and to my surprise they both still work) and am now trying to get my head around all the changes and working my way to getting an 80m HF loop in the air.
I knew my radio wasn't capable of TX on 60m but a few hours ago I re-opened the radio having found the full-spectrum TX mod (diode snip) et voilla, 60m is now achievable on the old radio.
Programming your list of frequencies & modes into the memory chanels 60 to 75 I now have rapid access to 60m without having to worry about straying out of allocation or using the wrong mode. :)
Just SWL'ing on a length of wire out of the window at the moment while re-familiarising myself with operating protocol and planning the SkyWire.
    Thanks again.
    Pete - G0JYO

Sadly, we no longer have the 60mtr band here in ZL 😢
The NZ Defence Force want the band back again exclusively. Only a few ZL's had the 60 mtr band privilege. We had to apply for an individual licence to operate there, and then we only had two spot frequencies we could use. We were also limited to 10watts max.
However, i did manage to scrape out a DXCC while i could...... Good luck on 60mtrs, is is a great band for DX when it is open.
    cheers.................... 🍺

Tim, good video to try and encourage more use of 60m but perhaps you should update your frequency list to say that on FT8 the transmit frequency should be 950Hz or below to try and help people stay on the right side of the frequency allocation?
