Oh nooo. If I dug holes that big with a shovel in a public park I would be in trouble big time
Cutting a plug properly leaves zero trace when you leave
Also if you notice, cutting a big plug allows your coil to fit in the hole. Ive found good targets UNDER good targets this way.
You dig farm field holes. Slow it down and work the pinpointing.

Use your hand held pinpointer on the target before you dig to cut down on the size of your plugs.

You need yo do a little extra pinpointing before you dig your plug. That will help reduce the size of your plugs.
I do like that you take the time to properly fill in your holes.
Yeah, I do my best to make it look like I was never there.
Great vid, keep them coming. I have the same machine and whenever I see that "1" pop up in the tone, I usually don't dig it. Almost always a nail, can or bottle cap. I dig pretty big plugs too but you can never tell I have been there when I am done. And yes there are Karens in every park... they are usually the things we detectorists find the most of (besides pull tabs) 🙂

One more thing, you might want to get a narrower trenching tool with a serrated edge to make digging easier
I actually broke my shovel in my last video. So then I went and bought a Root Slayer.
That was a nice little hunt. The best part is once you clear that park the first time you should start finding more treasures and less trash. I subscribed to your channel, because I detect parks in my small town too.

I have a 540 . What setting do you in field's. Happy hunting from Oklahoma.
I run coin and jewelry mode 99% of the time.
Large plugs are probably better for the grass in the plug especially in dry conditions
It aways seems like they go back better when they are on the bigger side.

Vanquish will find some good stuff the only problem is it likes deep iron I mostly ran my with all metal mode to help tell between iron and good stuff 😊

Here in Louisiana my soil makes all metal mode beep false iron signals constantly from the soil minerals. So I just use Jewelry mode mostly on my 340.
@baneverything5580 I not a huge fan of all metal mode. In my next video I almost passed up a good target because of all metal mode.

Im not gonna say do this or do that with you're plugs I'll just say "leave the ground as good or better than you found it" Thats what I do when I go detecting. That way at least I know I done it right
I try to make it look like I wasn't even there. Whenever I get finished at a spot I like looking it over before i leave to make sure everything looks okay.
Never saw anybody dig such BIG HOLES
And the destruction in the hole if it was a good coin find it would be all chewed up

Tiny ones can often do more damage. It`s not about how it looks doing it, it`s how you leave it.
