Did they just draw straws to decide who would be the singer? Like I get it with a drummer as the main attraction to the band, it doesn’t necessarily matter if the singing or the song is the greatest, but shit man. This just seems like they just said “You know who knows all the words to this shit? Fuckin Steve does. That’s it. Steve’s gonna be the singer.”
Its obvious that the show is the drummer. If the singer was amazing it would take away fron Steve. The rest of the band knows where their bread is buttered.
The lead singer is Fair at best - probably a cruise ship entertainer, but THE DRUMMER is insane!! I don't think any drummer past or present could hold a candle to him. He's a great drummer with flare.
Just mute the sound and enjoy. Guy can hold a tune, but that's only the 1st step. You also need a pleasing timbre to your voice, which you either have or you don't (for the style of music you're singing of course--it's all relative), and he doesn't have it. And lastly, you need good processing, you know, reverb, and some time-based effects, & compression, which isn't totally his fault (but he SHOULD be involved in making sure the sound man does his job; he's got a wireless mike after all, so he can go out front and LISTEN), and they don't have that either. And on top of it all, he's not the biggest talent on that stage. But he sure acts like it. That's called LSD.
It's really difficult to work out the intention here even after looking this drummer up , did they realise that the act was cheesy and bring him in on purpose to boost the show or was he originally playing it straight? . It's almost as if this group are fabricated to compliment his talent , surely they are a comedy act because that singer is the cheesiest act ever ..
