John Williams expressed Anakin and Padme's love so well with this song. The beauty and sadness of their forbidden love. The fears and the despair. This is by far, one of my favorite songs from the prequels and this version is just beautiful. Congrats!! The video was great!
You are right! BUT as most “classic” movie songs its, lets use the word “inspired” by songs from the 19th and 18th century. Its basically an alterate version of Tschaikowsky’s Swan Lake
@@levineberlin7536 I agree. I think john williams took a lot of inspiration from Tchaikovsky. Both songs have that feeling of romance and tragedy and they have almost the same chords. In fact the Anakin and Padme story perhaps mirrors something similar to the Swan Lake story.

I hope someday we advance to the point where we can have an "animated" series that is 100% indistinguishable from the live action. When that time comes, I hope to see a 10 season television series that covers the time period of Episode II, Clone Wars, and Episode III. I would love to see both Episode II and III fleshed out, with revamped dialogue and more story. This story was far too rushed in the movies. Because it was too rushed it kind of gives it a unbelievable aspect. I just don't buy it, but the basis for the idea is moving.
Absolutely outstanding rendition of a Williams classic. You stayed faithful to the original, and added your own instrument’s exquisite touch as well. Excellent cinematography and post production, with scene transitions just like the movie. Bravo!

How you play with flawlessly perfect intonation is a complete mystery to me. I have an erhu, and I sound like someone killing a cat. I’ve been focused on a fretless bass for a year and I have issues. You have inspired me . God bless you, you’re wonderful !!!
Dude I'm a major John Williams fan and I'm pretty harsh on covers of his music but this is incredible!! Goosebumps throughout. Beautiful man. May the Force be with you.
Eliott, I have never seen Star Wars, never heard this piece of music. Such a beautiful piece, exquisitely played by you. LOVE IT!!! Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤️ from 🇦🇺
I'd like to never have seen it too ! So I could rediscover it all again :) The narrative build up going from episode 4-5-6 then 1-2-3 culminate with the most epic and emotional duel even put to film... Thank you very much for your kind words :)
I have seen them all, the video recreates the spirit of the scenes perfectly yet without copying them. It is very well made as both fans and people who don't know it can enjoy it.
Oh... My... GOD! This is amazing, Mr. Tordo! The music, the scenery, cinematography, the freakin' ACTING SKILLS got me! It's beautiful as heck! I loved every single second of it! Thank you, Mr. Tordo and everyone else who participated and contributed to this project, for making this one of THE BEST ''Across The Stars'' Erhu Covers' I've ever seen!
Absolutely beautiful. I don't know exactly how, but this feels like the most authentic interpretation of Anakin (and Padme) out there - I mean to say, if I hadn't seen the prequels and was simply going off of descriptions of what Anakin and Padme were like, imagining a young Jedi who would become Darth Vader....I might arrive at a visual like this. No disrespect to Hayden, of course. He played the 'angle' of the character he was directed to and did it well, but even for a brief and purely visual performance, this really captures the strong and stoic demeaner that Vader would grow out of.
Mind you, the performance is also amazing! The Erhu has a lovely sound, like a Theremin mixed with the original violin tone. I just didn't expect an equally stunning visual to accompany it.
I like how you even used the transitions that they used in the movies for this. Your cinematography is, as always, breathtaking Your long hours have been well worth it. Well done.

This may well be one of the greatest pieces of music John Williams ever composed, and you totally did it justice with this beautiful rendition. Thank you for that. Bravo!
It's not just the erhu itself that creates such an emotional atmosphere. But everything, and I mean EVERYthing about Elliot Tordo adds to it. Elliot, you truly know how to make the erhu not only sing, but practically cry as well. You definitely made my ears, heart, and soul happy and feel peace and joy. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.

Listening to this piece, I feel very strange feelings. At first I feel joy, and then I shiver all over my body, tears appear by themselves. And with this final feeling, I listen to the rest of the piece. I believe that only orchestras and stringed instruments can convey all the beauty and deep meaning of music. Thank you very much for such a performance on such a beautiful instrument.
I love how at 2:10 when the music shifts mood to darker, more sombre and more sad, the scene shifts to Anakin sitting in the dark with his back to the light, the walls are close in around him, like his fears and enemy (Sidious). Great imagery there
