Oh my GOSH! That is gorgeous! I loved your book stacks and the fact that you staggered them some so that the snow would be on different levels. This is one of the prettiest displays I’ve seen. I’m doing my first Village this year 2020. I’m so excited! Thank you for sharing!

I was skeptical when I realized you didn’t have a white blanket to cover the books, but I was wrong ! It is so pretty!

I am doing a forehead slap on myself right now! I put my village display on a bookcase. I take all the books off, struggle with finding somewhere to store them for the season, and then set up the village. Now, thanks to you, I can keep some of the heavier, larger books out and use them in the display to create different heights. Genius! So happy I came across your video.

I'll be honest, I was a little doubtful about how the books would look when you first showed them. But the final result is beautiful.

My daughter watched with me and she said it looks like you are sprinkling magic when you sprinkled the snow... Beautiful display.

Absolutely beautiful! I recently started to place my frames on top of old books to add different heights and interest. I love how you randomly placed the small sleighs, the idea of placing a train with a few tracks, and using trees to cover cables. Love everything you did here! Thank you for another great video! It is such a treat to watch your videos, thank you Christopher!

Just when I thought I had seen every way of setting up a village, I found something new. I LOVE your ideas!!! I have had my village for about 20 years, and although I enjoy it (or I wouldn't keep putting it up) I have never LOVED it. It is so time-consuming, and it always looks messy. I am heading to the thrift store right now to buy some old books. Such a classy look, and so much easier than the clunky ways I have tried to give it different heights. Great job!

Great way to display a collection without a long expanse of space. Wasn't sure about the books, until the snow was added. Beautiful and so creative. I suppose choosing books with pleasing covers is important. Great job!

It never occurred to me to allow the books to show. I have always gone to great effort to hide them. It is charming to allow them to show. So sweet!.

Bravo!!!! I love this. Yesterday I stopped into an antique mall near where I live. There was a vintage antique Putz Christmas Village. I bought about $200.00 worth of it which included a lot of the buildings and bottle brush trees. I plan on going back in there and buying a few more pieces as he had them scattered all around the store. My Great Aunt had a big set of the Putz. I had completely forgotten about them until I saw the village display. I just hope I can make it look half as good as your village looks. I like the idea of the snow. I am not sure about the snow though I have 2 cats. Because of them I almost didn't buy any of it, but I hope they will look at it and then leave it alone. Thanks for the ideas. Even though my buildings are a lot smaller than yours and made out of different stuff they hopefully will look as good.

Very nice...my snow scene is 28 feet long..I always put either a sheet or a snow drape down first so everything is white then I sprinkle chunky glitter...clean up is much easier because you can roll up the glitter with the sheet or snow drape and throw the glitter away...unless you want to save it for the next year. I like raising the houses up on books but there again I would cover it with snow drape....Thank you for sharing you did a lovely job...keep collecting items as some will be hard to find later in years to come.
