This is Beautiful!. I haven’t put up our village since we moved to a new house 5years ago. My family has requested it back for 2021, so I’m looking for inspiration, it will be my 2021 project and if I don’t start planning now, time will pass and I won’t have done anything. Thanks for posting.
Good morning, yes I know Christmas is all over with but it's never enough. LOL I have spent a lot of time looking at everyone's different Christmas Village setups. Only with you you describe everything that you do to make it a beautiful Christmas Village. I only set up Dollar Tree and Dollar Store tiny little houses very small little village it's not as Extreme as yours. But I think of it as Christmas therapy. LOL I still enjoy even after the holidays are over visiting all of these channels. And I came across yours and I've learned a lot how to do this. So that'll give me something to work on during the summer preparing for next Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and your vision. God bless you.⛄🦌🎄💚
It's 2022 I just bumped into your video. You did an amazing job. This year will be my first year putting up a village. You gave great ideas on how to assemble a beautiful Christmas village. Thank you.
Amazing village. You have given me many ideas here that I can incorporate in my village. I think I will start my village later this month (July) hoping to be completed by the day after Thanksgiving. Thanks so much for your instruction. I also hope you will make a village this Christmas (2022). Take care.
So amazing and beautiful. You are a talented man. I REALLY loved the simplicity yet perfection of the pipe cleaner street swags. Thank you for showing us your beautiful work.
Mine is nowhere the size of yours but I won’t be putting it up this year as we have a new cat who would destroy it in minutes! I really enjoyed watching yours and look forward to the next video where you “shrink yourself” and give us a tour.
Omg- I LOVE this! You are extremely creative in setting up the scene! I also love your tips; I would LOVE to see more village tutorials, and also a “how to clean up/ take down a village”.... not quite as fun, but inevitable 😜😉
I hear you. The worse part, after the Holidays, is taking down my Village. I do cry every time I have to do that. lol A "Clean Up" and "Storing" video sounds like an idea. Gracias.
Oh my gosh! This is amazing!. I've been putting up Christmas villages for a few years now; using the styrofoam from packages is an awesome free resource for adding different levels to them. Like you I also use the boxes the buildings came in. I also stack books. Never thought to use coolers though; I also don't have the space you have, but that is a great tip. Love how you hide all the cords within your village. I also like how you take the bottoms off the tress and press them into the foam. I am definitely going to try adding a couple of your tips to this years scene. Thank you so much for sharing. Btw. Would love to see how you clean up all that loose snow. Lol. I was going to use some for the first time last year, but after seeing how clingy it was and thinking about the mess it was going to make I decided to forgo it. Maybe I will reconsider it again this year. Thanks again. Love, love, love your village.
Very nice! I’m a terrain maker and do my own villages as well. I hate the fake snow from Scenic and think next year I shall use your method! Check out the Hasty Terrain Maker for my village this year. Simple as I’m still building in the larger scale.
To Hasty Terrine Maker: Sorry, but I think it is rude to try pushing your site from this fun and informative site...Just my opinion. The only thing you had to say was NICE and then go into your sells pitch....sorry. Would not watch if you paid me. To Tito, loved your village and hopefully one day I can put my 25-year collection together finally that I add to yearly. WOrking at Lowes get me started long ago but never got the nack of setting one up. Loved your lesson. Many thanks and Merry Christmas!
Sorry if you felt like it was a "sells pitch", just wanted to let him know I also do villages and check mine out... I check out others, why not ask them to check yours out as well? I think he does excellent work and stated so, wow don't get so defensive over nothing.
Loved this! I’ve been using your videos as a guide for my very first village! I have some buildings that are battery operated. Could I put light under the snow? Or create string lights?
Thanks. The roads were made using Hot Wheels road-stickers, which comes in a roll; just cut, trim, and place. As for the ski slopes, it's made just using foam-boards. plastic bins and snow blankets.
Amazing Thanks for doing this You gave me some ideas This video was more informative than last year's Again Thank you PS you said you odered the signs online would you mind sharing where or what to search for Happy Holidays
The Road Signs were quick and easy to make. You can Google "Road Signs Images," and print them on Photo Paper. Glue them onto Dowel sticks. It's that easy. I'm glad you enjoy my video.
Amazing! I'm going to try using the insulation foam (thank you for the detailed description in the comments). I've used foam board from craft stores but it not nearly thick enough. What are you using to secure the wires to the foam board? They look like staples only bigger and sturdier. How did you attach the garland and table skirts? Do you have your plan ready for 2019 and will you be doing another video? Many thanks in advance!!!
found someone using foam board...this is what i'm making tomorrow, i'm putting small lumber under to make a pocket for the lights, i'm making a trellis, clay pots for trees, i have sticks/branches that will be trees without leaves, i'm using the design ideas used in train sets
Real awsome! Only thing i dont like is the static way your town is right now. I saw some mills....just standing there. No turning or flickering lights....or didnt you turned everything on? Good tips tough! Have a merry Christmas sir 🎀
Everything that runs on batteries were not turned on for this particular video. I'm leaving that for my next one, when I give a personal tour of my village. Coming soon!
One more question: Where do you get your foam for the flat base? I’ve used the light blue insulation sheets (about 2-3” thick) before, but then I have to camouflage the color of every inch of it 😖. Thanks again, Teresa
I've been buying pieces for years, some are from stores that are no longer around. Homes, Figurines and Accessories all comes from the following places... Michaels, Caldors, Bradlees, Zayre, Ames, Walmart, Christmas Tree Shopes, Big Lots, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, and Gifts from Friends & Family. Currently I get my items from eHobbyTools online. Hopes this helps.
SoTito! What's the plan for this year? Remove the rest of the furniture from the room? Make a permanent Village? The Solstice is here so we can begin to think about the next solstice season. Right? Hope all is well with you! Kathy and Bill

Thank you. I started with my first village house in early 90s.

I love the garland idea. So creative. Hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea :)
Wow!
Very nice! I’m a terrain maker and do my own villages as well. I hate the fake snow from Scenic and think next year I shall use your method!
Check out the Hasty Terrain Maker for my village this year. Simple as I’m still building in the larger scale.
Thanks. My favorite of the artificial snow is the fine "Snow Flurries." Looks like natural fallen snow.

Thanks. The roads were made using Hot Wheels road-stickers, which comes in a roll; just cut, trim, and place. As for the ski slopes, it's made just using foam-boards. plastic bins and snow blankets.
"Drum roll." "Joy to the World."
There you are🎉

thanks you so much love your display
I love your village! Where did you get your streets from?
Amazing! I'm going to try using the insulation foam (thank you for the detailed description in the comments). I've used foam board from craft stores but it not nearly thick enough. Love your set up. I’m doing a large village for the first time this year. Where do you get the large foam sheets to make the mountains?
Thanks. The foam I got from Walmart (in the fabric and crafts section). Have fun creating you village.
found someone using foam board...this is what i'm making tomorrow, i'm putting small lumber under to make a pocket for the lights, i'm making a trellis, clay pots for trees, i have sticks/branches that will be trees without leaves, i'm using the design ideas used in train sets

Beautiful. What did you use for the ski mountain? What is under it?
Underneath is just Styrofoam on top of Storage Containers.
Real awsome! Only thing i dont like is the static way your town is right now. I saw some mills....just standing there. No turning or flickering lights....or didnt you turned everything on? Good tips tough! Have a merry Christmas sir 🎀

One more question: Where do you get your foam for the flat base? I’ve used the light blue insulation sheets (about 2-3” thick) before, but then I have to camouflage the color of every inch of it 😖. Thanks again, Teresa
It's Insulation Foam (4 ft. x 3/4" thick) from Home Depot and/or Loews. They come in a pack of 6 sheets. Gracias.
What type of hooks did you use to hold down the cords? Thanks.
They are called: Greening Pins. These are floral clips, used to pin down moss and greenery. They sell them at any Crafts store... even Walmart.
Very nice job!!! Where do you purchase your foam boards? I can't find any that are the size of your pieces!
Thanks Tom. I get my large Foam Boards (for my base) at Lowes and/or Home Depot. The other smaller foams were from Walmart's fabrics & crafts area.
Loooooovveeeee this! Just got into villages and yours is AWESOME! where did you get your ski safety fence?
Thank you! I got the fence last year from ehobbytool.com -- it's a fantastic site for everything village.
Where did you shop form
I've been buying pieces for years, some are from stores that are no longer around. Homes, Figurines and Accessories all comes from the following places... Michaels, Caldors, Bradlees, Zayre, Ames, Walmart, Christmas Tree Shopes, Big Lots, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, and Gifts from Friends & Family. Currently I get my items from eHobbyTools online. Hopes this helps.
Did you make the underwater ocean? Like where the sea horses and star fish are ?
It's one of those areas I tend to overlook when recording my video. I'll try to highlight the underwater ocean a bit more for this year's village.
SoTito! What's the plan for this year? Remove the rest of the furniture from the room? Make a permanent Village?
The Solstice is here so we can begin to think about the next solstice season. Right?
Hope all is well with you! Kathy and Bill
