Ok so now you've literally built my dream house... mansion... castle...keep? Its a dream of mine to live in a modernized ruin and I've never been more jealous of sims! (Even though the do sometimes pee fire, eh details)

This is a dream of mine as well. I love old houses but they tend to require a lot of upkeep and I loved this idea.

This is insanely gorgeous! You pulled it off phenomenally!! The way modern more minimalist design is elevated to timeless when the environment is basically art. Who knew you just had to build in a ruin to have a perfect home untethered by time.

This reminds me so much of the Isle of Sgail level from Hitman 2 and I love that aesthetic of an old ruined castle with massive modern additions, while keeping the original almost fully intact. Literally my dream house, I cannot describe how much I have wanted a house in this style in the sims. You really are so talented omg.

When you cut to the original build I actually gasped. I would have no idea where to even start!
Console me is also fuming because I would also definitely move my sim self. This building incorporation with the ruins is mesmerizing. The story of the person that originally built it is so well done. All in all I LOVE it.

My father wanted to be an architect but ended up settling as a damn good carpenter. Over the years he probably built over 200 houses in my ever growing hometown. Not bad for a Mexican who moved to the US at 20 speaking very little English! I imagine he's where I get my appreciation for architecture from.
Sadly my father's life has been wrecked by ptsd and substance abuse for a long time coming. So he doesn't have much to show for all his hard work and It's become incredibly difficult to connect with him. He won't get help, unfortunately.
Anyway, sorry that got dark haha. But that's life I suppose. This build is amazing, I'll be adding it to my game promptly 🙃

I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!! While you were reading the requirements for the build I thought “he’s gonna build a black box and I’m gonna love it” and then it said “we want light tones and whites” I literally gasped with disbelief😂 how dare they try to take us from Aiden’s black box of DREAMS ?!?!?

I love that there are no window dressings (the game ones would just be the ugly step sister to this gorgeous CC! 🤢) but I couldn’t help thinking that on hot and sunny days they’d be hard pressed to find a spot where they wouldn’t be cooking, 😂 It’s the Sims and we don’t really care! 😂
