The L train uses a different version of CBTC compared to the one being implemented everywhere now, so unless it runs on CBTC bypass it would not run sufficiently

From what’s been going around, it’s only temporary. It’s mainly a test to see how well CBTC works with the R179s on Queens Blvd.
