There are two types of tamil , one is the normal one when we speak and other is called sentamizh (pure tamil) . Some people just know to speak the language and cannot understand The lyrics coz they are mostly in pure tamil which you would understand only when you learn to read and write .
This movie released on Oct 1st 2010. At that time rajini sir was not well & many told that this was a ambitious project for his age. But nevertheless he completed & it was a blockbuster hit. One of a kind of it’s movie in Indian cinema. If u want to see his energy & dance now watch movies like Petta & darbar which released on 2019. Then u will know. For people telling he his old, we know him for so many years that we feel like we grew up with him. Suppose ur spouse gets old after 40 yrs of marriage, will u tell that he is unattractive. No right. It’s a similar situation here. He acts only with heroines in their late 30s and early 40s only and he never acts intimately with heroines in first place. He plays age appropriate movies only now a days. U will never be able to understand cuz he was a common man who lived amongst us who broke all stereotypes and emerged successful. Didn’t have any advantage just pure hard work & talent. Also this film was shot in a heritage site so there were many restrictions. Not more than 10 people where allowed to gather in a place for fear of damaging it. Yet director Shankar once again proved his excellence. If possible react to all the songs in this movie.

I was born in 1995, and watched a movie named Narasimha(in Telugu) starring a person in 1999... I instantly became a huge fan for the style... Even to this day... that's the most stylistic movie I enjoyed. and the person starring in that film is Rajinikanth. Because I was a child.. I wasn't knowing that he is very famous during that time also... As I grew.. I realised.. that I'm trying to imitate a big super star... In tamil this movie is named as Padayappa. Co- actors also did great.

I was born in 1995, and watched a movie named Narasimha(in Telugu) starring a person in 1999... I instantly became a huge fan for the style... Even to this day... that's the most stylistic movie I enjoyed.
and the person starring in that film is Rajinikanth. Because I was a child.. I wasn't knowing that he is very famous during that time also... As I grew.. I realised.. that I'm trying to imitate a big super star...
In tamil this movie is named as Padayappa. Co- actors also did great.

As a side note- Kilimanjaro is an Indic name. Manjaro is a distortion of Mandara. Kilima is Giri. Giri Mandara over time distorted to Kilimanjaro. There is a place called Mandara close to Kilimanjaro even today. Kilima is mountain in Swahili but is a distortion of Giri. Not too far from Kilimanjaro in Tanzania lies Mt. Meru-sister mount of Mandara according to the ancient Purana texts .
