Rest in Peace Julian. Thank you for your contributions to the horror genre. I was 15 when this came out. Great movie! It's on Blu-ray now so I'll be watching all three of them soon.
I remember Anne Rice had thrown his name out once, saying she would like him or Rutger play Lestat. I would have much rather seen his play Lestat than Cruise or Townsend. He could have pulled off the aristocratically arrogant and evil side of Lestat much better. These movies are proof.
R.I.P. Julian Sands. An actor who should have been given far greater roles in his later career. A hell of an actor.

This was such a great film from my childhood. The part where the warlock used the fat of an unbaptized child to make a flying potion was alluded to in the Vvitch, another great movie.

They found his body Sands was reported missing from the Baldy Bowl area of Mt. Baldy, about 45 miles from downtown Los Angeles, on Jan. 13, the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department said.
Sands' manager, Sarah Jackson, said in a statement Tuesday that the actor died "in a place he loved, doing what he loved."
Sheriff's officials said he was hiking in the Angeles National Forest, which was left wet and icy after a series of Pacific storms produced several inches of snow, damaged mountain roads with muddy, overflowing streams, and prompted the closure of off-road driving trails.
On Saturday, people hiking in the Mt. Baldy wilderness discovered human remains and reported them to the Fontana Sheriff's Station, San Bernardino officials said.
The remains were taken to the coroner's office for identification.

Loved him since in Warlock. It's so terribly sad, but at least his family can have closure and give him a proper funeral.

Grew up when this movie hit the theaters, and it will always be a classic. It's hard for me to explain it, but this movie actually had several scenes that were very relaxing and calming to watch in a subtle way, but then you knew something big was about to happen at some point. I also thought the set at the cemetery towards the end with the city skyscrapers at night in the background was nicely done. Some critics said this movie was like another Terminator movie, and I can see some of that, but Julian made this movie hold it's own in every way. Such a great actor from my childhood, and he will be missed.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time, I have seen it so many times I can speak every single word. Julian Sands became immortal for me with this movie, even though he is dead now, I will never forget him.
Great flick but I actually preferred the second one. He was MUCH more powerful in the second installment. It was actually a different character.

I remember watching this In the early 90s with several other great movies when we got those 4 cable boxes with the red digital numbers on it lol when Disney was a subscription channel & during these days like a few times a year HBO, Cinemax & Disney would give you free trials & that’s when you would break out the blank tapes & start recording newer movies & I remember watching this on HBO 💪🏻 good memories

One of my favorite movies of all time never given the true respect it deserved with a fantastic sequel.

I remember watching this as a kid, it wasn't the best straight to video movie of it's time and I wouldn't really rate it up there with the likes of Critters etc, but watching it now is very nostalgic 👍

Couldn't remember the name of this film for the last week, I THOUGHT it was the original Warlock, but they made a few of these movies if I remember right, and it wasn't winning awards back in the day.

I saw this movie many years ago and I gotta say that it is pretty good movie especially since it's crzay special effects! 😀 Julian Sands will always be an awesome actor, I will miss always, and he will he always have a place in our hearts! 😀 💕 I really think that Julian Sands would've played a great Lucifer in future tv show, movie, video game, or etc! 😀 I just couldn't believe that Julian Sands didn't portray Lucifer Morningstar in the Lucifer tv show especially since his blonde hair resembles the Lucifer Morningstar from the Lucifer comic books that the Lucifer tv show was adapted from! 😀

What an Excellent film i was very young at that time when i saw Warlock Julian Sands his performance was impeccable , I like the scene where he grabs lori singers bracelet and he cast that spell of aging a decade twice over a day WOW ! what a scene i have the movie now on blue- ray and it great part 1 and 2 are great BUT part 3 it is thumbs down no good .... they needed Julian Sands ..... I did not know he went missing while hiking i sure hope he is ok.
