Tsering Pasang I'm a Laker fan but tbh watching this knicks was really fun to watch. I ultimately thought they'd reach the Finals that year but the Celtics tired them out in the 1st round and then lost to the Pacers in 5 games I think.
His whole career, Kidd could do everything well (pass, rebound, play D) except for shoot. Interestingly towards the end of his career, he became a 3-point specialist.
He was one of the best 3 point specialists I'd seen the first half of the Knicks season too before he ran out of gas. After that he couldn't hit the side of a barn unfortunately.
This Knicks team was as good as it got in recent years. It's crAzy cuz some games Kidd had no stats and missed layups but the team played very well with him on the floor. Great floor leadership
Kidd's last year was even impressive. Its bizarre to see him wear a Knicks uniform. Usually Knicks get these guys at the wrong end of their career but he was still very productive at this time.
I have zero doubts if he was on team when we had Spree and Houston we would have passed Boston in those years nets were facing them. We would have made finals. Let’s keep in mind they had Kurt Thomas and Camby but they basically were uninterested. Kidd on that team would have completely transformed them. I love Marbury who came later but Kidd would have changed the team. I mean he did it here with older personnel. Not just the main guys.
i didn't watch the knicks during this season. i know they started raymond felton and jason kidd at the same time but which one was the point guard? raymond? because it looks like jason kidd was only scoring off of assists
Jason Kidd, Kevin Martin, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stodemire, J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, Jeremy Lin, and Tyson Chandler. This is a championship caliber team.
I miss this team so much. I wish we could have got to play Miami in the playoffs that year. Who knows what could have happened. I still have nightmares of Hibbert's block on Melo.
