As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the GoPro Hero 11 and its compatibility with accessories might not be available. However, I can provide some general information that might help you determine if you can use a USB Type-C microphone with a GoPro and the Media Mod. GoPro cameras, especially those equipped with a Media Mod, often have a USB Type-C port that can be used for various purposes, including connecting external microphones. To use a USB Type-C microphone with your GoPro Hero 11 and Media Mod, you would typically need to check the following: 1. **Compatibility with Media Mod:** Ensure that the Media Mod for your specific GoPro model supports external microphones via USB Type-C. The Media Mod usually comes with additional ports for expanding the camera's capabilities, including an external microphone input. 2. **Power Requirements:** Some USB microphones draw power from the device they're connected to. Make sure that your GoPro and the Media Mod can provide sufficient power to the microphone. 3. **Adapter or Cable:** Depending on the connection types, you might need an adapter or a specific cable to connect the USB Type-C microphone to your GoPro or the Media Mod. 4. **Firmware Updates:** Check for firmware updates for both your GoPro camera and the Media Mod. Sometimes, new features or compatibility improvements are introduced through firmware updates. Since specifications and compatibility details can change, I recommend checking the official GoPro website, user manuals, or contacting GoPro support for the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding the compatibility of USB Type-C microphones with the GoPro Hero 11 and Media Mod. Additionally, user forums and communities can be valuable resources for sharing experiences and tips regarding specific camera setups.
Hey there, yes it does just behind the flap. HDMI, 3.5mm jack and USB-C for charing while recording videos as shown. The link is in the video description below. Thanks for watching. Daniel
Hi there, thanks for watching. You only need the Media Mod and the cable that comes with the RODE wireless microphone. Just do it the way I did it. Daniel
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the GoPro Hero 11 had not been released, and I do not have information on its specific features or accessories. However, if you are referring to a "Media Mod" for a GoPro camera, these mods typically provide additional features such as an external microphone input, HDMI output, and sometimes additional USB-C ports. If your goal is to use a selfie stick to trigger a picture, you would typically rely on the camera's shutter button or a remote control. Many GoPro cameras come with wireless remote controls or can be controlled through a smartphone app. Connecting a selfie stick to the audio input might not serve the purpose of triggering a picture. The audio input on the Media Mod is generally designed for external microphones. For detailed and accurate information about the compatibility and features of the GoPro Hero 11 and its accessories, I recommend checking the official GoPro website or contacting GoPro support directly. They can provide the most up-to-date information and guidance on how to achieve specific functionalities with their products.
Good video. I have the media mod with the Go pro 10 and I think the mic's are awful! Genuinely I was shocked on how bad the sound is. I prefer the on camera Go Pro mic's. The best however is the Sennheiser MKE 200 and it's small enough to not show up in your shot on the Go pro. Even the Rode video micro shows up in shots with the wind protection so the Sennheiser is the best option in my opinion.
Whice microphone is best for personal vloging in go pro 11…

Great video. Quick question, can I use the mod to connect a selfie stick to the audio input to trigger a picture?

Should It need one adapter to use the Rode wireless go?
The media mod. Daniel
The mke440 was the clearest but mke 200 is a cheeper alternative with great sound aswell
Hey there, the MKE440 ist the one, which isn't really small, but I prefer it, since it does have this clean audio. Daniel

Hey thanks a lot for your feedback.
Daniel
good video, thanks
Thanks for this video all the comparisons are super helpful
Perfect. You are welcome. Daniel
I switched from the RODE Wireless Go to the DJI Mic now
Isn't it kind of strange to title the video "Is it worth it?" since you NEED the media mod to use any of the microphones in this video?
I use it already for the last few years and I never regret the purchase. Daniel
lol.... Very good point!
