No. This song does bring me to tears every time I hear it as it was discovered during an important emotional turning point in my life. I had just met my future wife and was moving on from a devastating ending with an ex. This song is what made me let go and face the unknown.
KGGO in Des Moines, Iowa USED to play a lot of Joe Bonamassa.... Before they became another Cumulus/Citadel, XYZ corporate "Classic Rock" station 15 years ago. Thanks to the old staff at KGGO back in the day I learned who JB was a long time ago. What a musical genius that most people have never heard of.... They sure know who Lady Gaga is tho' :/
This version of IMT is by far the best, it captures the essence of Joe and the band perfectly. We have seen Joe play this song live many times, and this will remain the best rendition...it is never out of the car for a start. Myself and my now wife - Alison, went to London to the Royal Albert Hall back in 2009 to see Joe, it was out first proper date...and we celebrate our 8th Wedding anniversary on October 22nd...next week, and we'll be in Palawan celebrating.
Like the rapids of a raging current, akin to the quakes of the earth, it stirs up a longing for the new - for change - break down the walls to experience the panoramic view of your inner desires.
I agree with this one being the best! Thanks for posting...I think I enjoy his live recordings better than the studio recordings, there's more intensity & energy. He's truly a guitar god...I don't care what anybody says.

Probably because you can find the actual video of him playing... I just watched it.
