Joe’s has did such a great job refining his vocals over the years. He’s now one of the best singers out there. With his guitar skill he’s a living legend.
Was with my brother in Durham 2 years ago in February. This is my brother's favorite Bonamassa song. I was so glad he played this. I'm a dancer. Taught dance my whole life. Almost 50 yrs. My brother who has not one ounce of rhythm in his whole body just started moving when Joe played this. It was so amazing. It made his whole night. My brother took me, my mom and my sister in law out for a beautiful dinner and this concert. Incredible memory. Sorry for the small novella. Lol

He loved Clapton, Gary Moore and BB King. Now when I listen to Joe’s music it’s bittersweet. I wish I could have shared my love of Joe’s music with him. Life isn’t fair by any means.

I love Joe's subtleness. The way he lets an ending phrase's note's volume fade perfectly at just the right moment. Or when he's in the middle of an energetic solo and doing a high-range run and throws a mid-range high at the absolute full, perfect tone right into the middle of it. Just awesome. A true master. When I watch this video, I really don't miss the 70's. In the 70's during the guitar solo they would have shown the face of the drummer or some girl in the audience. As a guitar player, here I have all I need.

Just started working on this backing track, it’s just got so much soul, you need perfect touch and control over the speed of the entire song. Blues at its finest!
Blake Faz try this version, its the Live at Royal Albert Hall. In my opinion, this one isnt even close to the LARAH version. ua-cam.com/video/4Z-EfcQeifc/v-deo.html Check it out!
I discovered Joe about 10 years ago. Watched his bio, wow! A child prodigy. Opened up for BB King when he was just 7years old. Seen him live twice in Florida. The man is a guitar GOD. Tickets were over $100 a pop, but well worth it. Bought both of his DVD's. What's your favorite?
Saw Joe and band twice at the Palais Theatre St Kilda Melbourne Australia The Tone, timing and pure brilliance of Joe has to be experienced to be believed The audience hang on to every note and those solos are truely spiritual. In fifty years he is the best I have ever seen and that Gibson talks, sings moans and everything in between
Such beautiful music and such a talented artist playing his guitar. More amazing than you ever know. Or shall I say what a fabulous band? I would acknowledge all of them with great talents.
Joe is a child prodigy in progress. But, driven by talent, passion, and support, he has risen to the top of the list. I see every great guitarist in his work. He has paid attention to the roots. He knows who to give credit to, and follows up with respect and appreciaton. I've seen him twice and was totally in shock and awe. All I knew of blues mainly was SRV. I'd love to see Joe do a few Hendrix/SRT interpretations. That would up the notch in his cover works. wow This man will never be forgotten amonst the very best. Long live JB.
I've seen him in concert twice as well. And yes, you can almost taste the flavors of SRV ,Jimmy, in his playing. He definitely respects the guitar GODS. Long live JB!
I have been a huge Bonamassa fan for about 4 years now. I have yet to see a video live performance that wasn't fantastic. Saw him live and he blew me away ! Best concert I have ever witnessed! He is simply amazing and his band is so Tiiiiggghtt! Love him and his team !
Amazing is an understatement. One of the most talented and gifted slow jam and guitar solo vocalists I have ever heard. He can also rock. In person has to be a once in a lifetime experience. He's definitely up there with Page, Hendrix and the greatest musicians I admire and respect. Print that and take it to the bank.

2:05 The guitar scream. 4:25 The thunderous guitar intro. 6:22 The drummer legs! 6:35 The bassist. 8:00 the legendary pick up selection that made me fall in love with this guitar in the first place! The change in the tone to pure Rock awesomeness is marvelous! 8:20 the drummer legs, yet again!
He is extremely talented , love how he plays and sings . Saw Joe in Minneapolis with my wife and son whoo hoo , we lost our other son a few years ago and this is our special reminder for them loneliness moments .
I agree with you 100%. What a tone ! What a talent. Told my sons that if I can't see Gary Moore in the States because he is no longer alive. The next best guy to see is JB. NO doubt .Good for you. How old is your son? I am going with my 2 sons in Baltimore area this Friday. and they are only 11 and 12. I am trying to influence them with rock and blues. they are all into hip and hop and other pop music nowadays.
Joe Bonamassa you’re the greatest just started listening to you four months ago. You brought me back from the dead. Had a bad month of medication and went to easy way and pointed a gun to my head and pulled the trigger on pistol I forgot to put furring pin bsck in. Where there on purpose or accident it save my life. It was just about the time you played in Omaha and I miss your concert. So I turned you and UA-cam . I listen to his set of yours.. And decided it was a wrong way out. So thank you very much I will continue to listen to music the rest my life so play on. Knowing your music has made a difference
I would do a thousand miles to see it again ... then still thousands more miles, until the end of my days. As long as my life goes on, I would like to travel and play Sloe Gin, get to the next concert and see it again ... thanks Joe !!
I have known of JB for quite awhile but didn't keep up with his music. Recently reacquired an interest and this song just blows my mind. It's (I suppose) to be a heartbreaking song but to me it is exquisitely sexy. The solo at the back end is mesmerizing. Vocals are soulful and moving. Just ......WOW. I just saw him in concert in Chattanooga..this was his encore song. It was great but I wish it had been played like this version!! Thanks for the show JB!! See you next time around ♥️
I cant stand the thought of as gentle~man as you that dayumed lonely...that tenderness in your pure voice you know lonely is much worse than alone. And that dayumed guitar just sings right along with you... heartfelt! Maybe soon you can have all your desires fulfilled... n'er know. I believe... faith is a fine word & a good thing to have... you knock me OUT! WHOA!
This is one of the finest performances he has done. I am so sorry that this band is no longer with Joe I will miss Anton Fig, Michael Rhodes RIP, I am not sure whether Reese Wynans is still performing with Joe. This show was great .
2:11 from just a nice easy soulful intro to a slap in the face wah wah infused pick slide. That is just not often if ever seen in the blues but it is so satisfying.
No matter what I learn about theater (or about sincerity in general), this video remains better than most classes I could take. Genius. I hope he knows that.
So much emotion - so much feeling !!!! For too many people, technique and fast fingers are everything in guitar-playing. Joe has technique in bucket loads, but almost never over-plays. He has mastered the art of less notes - more texture, in the tradition of so many greats of the past ....... Mark Knopfler, Paul Kossoff, Mick Taylor, Jeff Beck, Peter Green, Martin Barre, etc. And unlike most of those greats, he has over the years developed a pretty authentic vocal style too. My two favourite Live tracks ever are Joe's Mountain Time from the Albert Hall (2009) album, and Mark Knopfler's Brothers In Arms from the Mandela Concert, Wembley (1988). Both move me to tears, every time. And this performance comes pretty damn close to those two. Thanks Joe !
I was friends with legendary Johnny Winter. I KNOW Johnny was extremely impressed with Joe. So I have absolutely no problem calling Joe Bonamassa a living legend NOW! An amazing artist since a prodigy as a child!
If he arrived on the scene in 1983-1989 he would have given SRV a run......he's a better song writer ....better singer ....he is close to the chops .....I am impressed with how he controlled his career with little influence and no drugs or distractions!!!!......I Kno a lot of purists won't give him the credit that he rightfully deserves!!!!!!......I met him early on in his career and we talked for 10 mins about everything but music n guitars - before he walked away he asked me if I play - and I replied yes , since I was 10 (now 53) ..... hardcore punk bands is how I cut my teeth....but now I just play the blues with a jazz twist.....I think Joe B needs to be recognized for who he is .....one if the greatest guitar players and song writers of our time .... listen to 'driving towards the daylight' and tell me that isn't the best blues song written in the past 20 years !!!!!!......much love!!!.....stay healthy Everyone- and in tune!!!....
If all you said above is true....why isn't Joe recognized as the better song writer, singer and guitarists? As far as Stevie is concerned he was in a class all his own. He had the whole package and brought such an excitement that he completely revitalized a dying art form, the blues, to the mainstream and helped rejuvenate the stagnant careers of the originators that had long been forgotten since the 60's and 70's and also influenced a whole generation of guitarist, songwriters and musicians!

He is amazing ... never get tired of this... Just discovered him today so glad I did. Sixty five and still feeling it ...
Put it on whatever you can and listen to it very loud!! Old skool way? Cassettes.
Explore on! You won't find a bad album. Look from beginning to end. You have happened upon greatness
Take it in brother, it’s never to late to be moved
Show someone they aint seen nothin from you, yet. Our time is beginning.
I'm am quite sure that my Uncle Gary knew this guitarist. But I can't ask him b/c he died unexpectedly and i am so lonely without him texting me....
happy to have the honour to play with J B in Holland Carre
My favourite song ever...played it endlessly after my daughter died.
Love Joe B
Intensely satisfying blues artistry from Joe Bonamassa. A real tribute to the legends of old.
The Blues is still alive!
Karan Gera Do you consider this is blues?
hahahaha
You'd be daft if you don't
This is NOT blues, Bonamassa is sterile, his sound does not excite me at all and he mostly plays too fast for the blues
I definitely need what you're smoking if you're under the ridiculous perception that this isn't blues.
You have no soul. More bieber for you..
Wow. What more can we say, he’s incredible . His whole band is fantastic !
Just started working on this backing track, it’s just got so much soul, you need perfect touch and control over the speed of the entire song. Blues at its finest!
Sorry for your lost too. I lost almost my whole family recently and as I know they are with me even always cry with this song
Hands down the best thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life
Man I cant even listen to the studio version anymore because this version blows me away, tapping in from another universe!🤘
Same here.
Einfach geil!!!!Joe bonamassa eben
I do have all of his CD's and I listen to the live CD's more. Dust Bowl just resonates better and Mountain Time.
This song has sustained me through difficult times in my life Joe you are one of the most important people in my life
True sound! Live band; no click, no playback! True blood running through the veins! Amazing!
One of the first things I noticed is that they are playing without earpieces, so rare lately.
Saw Joe and band twice at the Palais Theatre St Kilda Melbourne Australia
The Tone, timing and pure brilliance of Joe has to be experienced to be believed
The audience hang on to every note and those solos are truely spiritual.
Jon Ishmael joe does hendrix tunes alot and his best song he does is are you experianced which he destroys
Jon Ishmae
No doubt, Joe is a guitar magician and his voice resonates as the best
I've seen him in concert twice as well. And yes, you can almost taste the flavors of SRV ,Jimmy, in his playing. He definitely respects the guitar GODS. Long live JB!
Well said!
Ich war gestern in seiner Show in Hamburg und bin absolut begeistert, bei diesem Song blieben meine Augen nicht mehr trocken....Gänsehaut!!!!
I’ve never heard perfection till now and I am a huge critic of blues and rock but I’m just gobsmacked by Joe’s music
That’s the correct answer
Joe live is awesome! This one is just so beautifully done by the entire ensemble band.
If the blues had a heartbeat 💓
This it’s the song I’d think of
My blue heart beats to this…
Thank you Joe 💙
I have been a huge Bonamassa fan for about 4 years now. I have yet to see a video live performance that wasn't fantastic. Saw him live and he blew me away ! Best concert I have ever witnessed! He is simply amazing and his band is so Tiiiiggghtt! Love him and his team !
Who in there damn right mind could ever put a thumbs down to this masterpiece......obviously they know nothing about music at all!
Curtis Adcock they were probably high and thought the like button was upsidown
So far 813 tone deaf morons.
@@isaiahling1911 Hahaha 👍
Envy and ignorance are bad beasts, JB is simply a genius
I'm assuming people who think Adriana Grande or Justin Bieber are the height of music perfection, none of their music can even hope to compare to this
Each Day I listen to this Song. It is and wil be always my favorite Song, and reminds me of my Late Husband who loves Joe's Music so much.
Hello vera🤗
How are you doing?
Amazing is an understatement. One of the most talented and gifted slow jam and guitar solo vocalists I have ever heard. He can also rock. In person has to be a once in a lifetime experience. He's definitely up there with Page, Hendrix and the greatest musicians I admire and respect. Print that and take it to the bank.
Wow. Got right to the soul of the song real fast. I feel like I gotta go stand in the rain.
Quando le mani suonano col cuore,è impossibile non emozionarsi....potrei riascoltarla milioni di volte,e ogni volta un'emozione indescrivibile...solo pochi possono tanto,Grande Joe. Grazie❤❤
My internal tone meter is slammed on 10. Another amazing performance!! Crushing it as usual. Thank you Joe and company !!!🎉
Goosebumps every time i hear this , a masterpiece !
Yup
I can't quit crying! You have a way to. R bring out every emotion known. YOU ARE THE BEST
Joe is a piece of gold to us, glad that I had a chance to listen him live once, Thanks Joe you are a piece of gift from God to us, thank you much, can not be appreciated enough.
Wow!!!!! The gifts that we are given by some of the most amazing musicians and artist and just don't even realize it...music.... The gift that just keeps on giving....
getting tears in my eyes everytime I hear it.
just can't get tired of listening to his music time after time !
@@saigonKT i'm 62 and my son 34 , good luck with them boys
Breathtaking solo! God bless you, J.B. and Band!
Becoming one of the all-time Greats!!
ALL Musicians in this Band are great.
He only picks the best!
Greatness surrounds themselves with greatness
This show was great .
he was touring with him this year
2:11 from just a nice easy soulful intro to a slap in the face wah wah infused pick slide. That is just not often if ever seen in the blues but it is so satisfying.
Son dernier concert du 7 mai 2022 au dôme de Paris était génial.
Un grand parmi les grands
Been following JB for a while now. His guitar playing has always been top notch but I think his vocals keep getting better the longer he does this.
Super! What a sad song. My heart is squeezed by emotions. Thank you JOE! I am delighted with your creativity. You're the best!.
Jij bent de beste, super.🎸🎶🎸
Hello Natalia 🤗
How are you doing?
South Florida get ready to get blown away on December 2nd, 2023! I can’t wait!
phantastic song and musicians
I could listen to Joe play guitar all day and never tire of it. He plays with so much feeling - a great talent.
JOE IS KEEPING THE BLUES ALIVE,STAY ALIVE JOE.GOD BLESS YOU FOR YEARS TO COME,YOUR ONE OF A KIND OR A FULL HOUSE.
When that double foot bass drum kicks in, it makes my heart flutter....This and Mountain Time are the only two songs I ever need to listen to...
How can you not love this brilliant performer.Just play blues man.
Your brilliant ,
This is one to shed the tears to. Nothing but the blues can have that effect.
So Joe...Mama of 7, Grandma of 11, thus far, you are from beyond, my admiration for your Love, Blessings Now & Then
Might be Joe's best vocal performance. Well done.
I agree. His vocals were spot-on. Not one note off-key. Even on that vocal run at 3:36.
