Hey Leonfox. Lost both my parents as well. Not that it matters. I am glad you have found some other music in your your journey. The Organist puts a haunting touch on the song. I've heard this song without the organ and its still great but, its missing a little something that leaves a void. All in all , world class musicians all of them.

Joe was a great guitar player when SRV was alive . It isn't like he just popped out of nowhere . he has been playing professionly since he was 12 or 13 yrs, of age . Sorry if this comes out like i'm mad . I just know for a fact that he's been around doing music like this for quite a while . Once again I'm not mad just setting things a little bit straighter .
Saw his 2017 show at Red Rocks. When he makes that fret run in Sloe Gin at timestamp 2:11 I get goosebumps. He can make that Les Paul live to it's full potential. Gibson should be proud that this man loves their equipment.

One of his best performances in my opinion. Can never go wrong with this guy. He's really got legendary status. I only wish I could have HALF the charisma he has in his pinkie finger.
He's said this and 2009 at Royal Albert Hall are tied for is best live performance.
U cant have it all... Despite of it.... he is awesome fucking good...
Love Joe
One of the greatest musicians of this lifetime. So timeless!
You know that he's got the blues because of the raw emotion in it
The band is so good!!!
40 Albums and 21 of them hit #1. Hard to believe I didn't hear of this musician til 2 years ago. Finally got to see him in San Antonio, Texas. Just after visiting Bubba Gump Shrimp.
Indeed. I am ashamed I was not aware of him sooner. Thanks to a young UK guitarist who covered him (who you should check out) James Bell (who has sadly had health issues).
He is extremely talented , love how he plays and sings . Saw Joe in Minneapolis with my wife and son whoo hoo , we lost our other son a few years ago and this is our special reminder for them loneliness moments .
I agree with you 100%. What a tone ! What a talent. Told my sons that if I can't see Gary Moore in the States because he is no longer alive. The next best guy to see is JB. NO doubt .Good for you. How old is your son? I am going with my 2 sons in Baltimore area this Friday. and they are only 11 and 12. I am trying to influence them with rock and blues. they are all into hip and hop and other pop music nowadays.
@@saigonKT i'm 62 and my son 34 , good luck with them boys
In my humble opinion, the best guitarist among the top 5. Such a powerful voice and guitar riffs....
I've been listening to this song every day for three years now and I never get tired of it
Greetings from Bosnia, my friend
You are one and only Joe
Just started working on this backing track, it’s just got so much soul, you need perfect touch and control over the speed of the entire song. Blues at its finest!
The drummer is a beast!
Angel!! Poet!!
♥️BONAMASSA
Joe Bonamassa you’re the greatest just started listening to you four months ago. You brought me back from the dead. Had a bad month of medication and went to easy way and pointed a gun to my head and pulled the trigger on pistol I forgot to put furring pin bsck in. Where there on purpose or accident it save my life. It was just about the time you played in Omaha and I miss your concert. So I turned you and UA-cam . I listen to his set of yours.. And decided it was a wrong way out. So thank you very much I will continue to listen to music the rest my life so play on. Knowing your music has made a difference
seeing him live is the best ever... and i can't wait to go see him play at the Red Rocks!
Who in there damn right mind could ever put a thumbs down to this masterpiece......obviously they know nothing about music at all!
Curtis Adcock they were probably high and thought the like button was upsidown
So far 813 tone deaf morons.
@@isaiahling1911 Hahaha 👍
Envy and ignorance are bad beasts, JB is simply a genius
I'm assuming people who think Adriana Grande or Justin Bieber are the height of music perfection, none of their music can even hope to compare to this
happy to have the honour to play with J B in Holland Carre
Am in tears now, reminds me of my wife who is passed away now.
Bless you brother 🙏🏼
Joe and the bass player are KILLING IT!!!
the drummer is killing it, too!
The Organist puts a haunting touch on the song. I've heard this song without the organ and its still great but, its missing a little something that leaves a void. All in all , world class musicians all of them.
That drummer workin' his craft as well...
Fantastic!
I have been a huge Bonamassa fan for about 4 years now. I have yet to see a video live performance that wasn't fantastic. Saw him live and he blew me away ! Best concert I have ever witnessed! He is simply amazing and his band is so Tiiiiggghtt! Love him and his team !
One of the best heart felt songs I've ever heard. You don't find too many Songs or artists that can hold your attention and your heart for 9 &1/2 minutes. Beautiful peace.
bonamassa is one of the greatest since SRV.
amazing how asking 1 he is in marking all guitar 🎸 and he plays early and never stopped .Best too with Beth Hart ❤ pot and tea will not be a accessory all his great times and I hope to listen And see what happens Blessings Joe
This song touches my soul !! 💔
It can do that. Be careful though, if you stare into that abyss for too long, it will stare right back.
Tonya Ripke me too
Me too. Joe is god
He makes me cry.So beautiful.
one of my favorites, just saw him 11-8-19, he played this, I taped the whole thing !! Love him
Saw his 2017 show at Red Rocks. When he makes that fret run in Sloe Gin at timestamp 2:11 I get goosebumps. He can make that Les Paul live to it's full potential. Gibson should be proud that this man loves their equipment.
Ich war gestern in seiner Show in Hamburg und bin absolut begeistert, bei diesem Song blieben meine Augen nicht mehr trocken....Gänsehaut!!!!
This is one of the finest performances he has done. I am so sorry that this band is no longer with Joe I will miss Anton Fig, Michael Rhodes RIP, I am not sure whether Reese Wynans is still performing with Joe. This show was great .
he was touring with him this year
Son dernier concert du 7 mai 2022 au dôme de Paris était génial.
Un grand parmi les grands
One of my favorite songs. AMAZING!!! That solo WOW!
This tune touches my soul deeply. All great "musical geniuses" bring out emotions within. Joe is the best guitarist alive today! Who is better?
he really is a great guitarist i admit that but there are others who are actually greater than him like guthrie govan, andy timmons, ect ..
Marcus King in the soul/ blues realm
words fail to express how wonderful Joe Bonamassa is, simply the best GUITARIST I have ever heard
Alive with David Gilmour
After Rory Gallagher & Gary Moore even if I like a lot Joe and particulary this song
Listen to Danny Bryant!! He is brilliant too.
@@alanbennington2641 Ahahahaha love your humor buddy
Hands down the best thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life
Have been loving this Song from the first time listening. This take is absolutely awesome.
Hello lowin🤗
How are you doing?
When that double foot bass drum kicks in, it makes my heart flutter....This and Mountain Time are the only two songs I ever need to listen to...
Galaktische Band,Joe in absoluter Top Form....unvergessen,lang lebe JB
One of his best vocal performances
How can you not love this brilliant performer.Just play blues man.
Your brilliant ,
This is the BEST version of "Sloe gin". Love this song!
