    A split version of this would be perfect, or a version of this that was the right shape for mounting underneath a vehicle, shooting the hot air out the side and the cold air ducted up inside the vehicle, it would be ideal for campers without having to use valuable roof space.

    This is awesome, can’t believe this was 7 years ago. I spend a lot of time in my crew cab truck for work and want a similar application so I don’t have to idle my truck. I figure I can power with a small generator.

    This is absolutely beautiful!!! I love the remote control with the data line. A lot of people complain about the price, but I don't think they're considering that if they were in a situation where space were at a premium, a small unit like this is a godsend at $1750

  • @jimmartin7899
    @jimmartin7899 6 років тому

    You could design the heat exchange with larger fins for a more higher air flow rate to cool off a room very quickly with the design concept using liquid argon gas plus it would allow a person to clean the unit more easy which would allow the unit to operate longer without breaking down from use in high dust and animal hair environments. A better air conditioning unit that uses less energy too! One that can put ice crystals on your forehead on a hot diners day! ; )

  • @juncboi
    @juncboi 7 років тому +3

    This looks like a very nice and well built unit. It can also be portable. AC and heater plus it is able to accept both AC and DC voltage. Those who are saying that this is overpriced have no idea. I have looked into building a wannabe AC unit that runs on ice water (not real refrigerant) using good quality components inside of a cheap cooler and it was already going to cost around $400 in parts. Key words "good quality", not el cheapo stuff from eBay and Amazon lol. But yea, for $40, I too can hack together a fan and some cold water to get AC. However, that won't be a product with quality that's anywhere near what you've built. Good luck brother! There are 7.5 billion people on this planet. If only 1% of the population buys your product, you will be very well off. :)

    I need one for my 59 and 63 Chevy Apache trucks. But that's kind of pricey. Im a D.I.Y type of guy. And been looking to put a/c in them. And found good a/c. Units in old Chrysler and Chevy vans with dual a/c units. The rear mounted units are perfect to shove behind the dashboard. Or behind the seat. I'll do some videos when I get around to doing it. Maybe later this year.

      design one that is gasoline powered. take an old gas motor from a inverter generator and use it to drive the compressor. they sell aftermarket auto ac units on amazon. but you have to use the cars engine to power the compressor. using a gas engine to power the compressor would be something

    • @JamesSmith-jq2jc
      @JamesSmith-jq2jc 3 роки тому

      You can buy a new air conditioner for $100, then get a 2000 watt gas-powered invertor, problem possibly solved. Harbor freight sells these invertors, I finally met someone a few days ago that owns one, said he has had good luck with it, runs an air conditioner in his van.

    Need to add a view of it installed and working
    This is for Marine use, all these Naysayer's are thinking of larger camping trailers
    I'm guessing the unit sets on the cabin roof
    Then ductwork from the blower to cabin, it's a heat pump, it has to be outside for it to function as a heater in cool weather
    Engineering for the Marine market is costly, and the space to be cooled, will be a smaller than the avg tt or fifth wheel

    This is basically a copy of marine air conditioner. These are been available for years and years some of them run off 12 volt 24 48 110 120 and 230-240. This is basically a marine application is reverse cycle requires water so it's not true electric heat. West Marine and other Marine manufacturers and dealers sell these things through catalogs and online or you can make your own for 500 or less. 🇺🇸
