- MPS 4,200 BTU Mini Heat Pump Air Conditioner. Available in 115v 60hz and 230v 50/60hz. Also able to run on 12/24VDC with our optional 1000W inverter/charger. Testing demonstrates that this unit will run on a Honda EU1000 with ECO-THROTTLE on without any problems! The digital control comes included in the package. This unit is reverse cycle which means that it can both heat and cool.
For those of you looking for this, it's a water cooled unit for boats.
Thanks for clarifying this.
now thats bad ass guys a real game changer for boaters thats the first one ive seen running off a 1000 Honda the last Marine AC unit i installed needed a 10 k generator to cool down my Sport Fisher ironically i do have the same Honda generator i used as a back up and for boondocking my Airstream travel trailer in the winter to power my inverter to keep the heat blower running all evening without killing my 12 volt batteries either on my truck or the camper i love those Honda Inverter / generators they hit a home run on those things
This looks like it would work well for a Van build.
A mini heat pump would be great for a greenhouse. How much does it cost? How much electricity does it use?
In Thailand, they made 1000 BTU unit 12v/100W for using inside trucks. I am not sure how is performance but if it works well, it worth 100 USD they claim for it.
Good place to source small AC units, but once you pay the freight [and any import duties]...I don't know. And good luck if you need parts outside of SE Asia.
What's the brand on those
@@flinch622 what the name or model 🤔
Home depot 5000 BTU AC, runs at 550watts at 120vAC. $125.00 Spend $100.00 on a good 12v-120v 1000w inverter and you have a better standard setup. Even smaller than this, when you add-on all the hoses and shell and vents.
NoesisAndNoema to each their own. Some people like to do jobs right and have a water cooled AC unit for their vessel that is made for the application. A good 1000w inverter is not $100. No battery charging capability, no auto transfer when connecting to generator or shore power and surely no warranty. Also in regards to size, I’m not understanding your logic. This unit can be mounted in a closet, under a bed, couch, etc whereas the unit that you are proposing would be mounted where? How do you propose getting the hot air out cooling the compressor? It can be done but it’s a Mickey Mouse job. Might as well fill a cooler with ice and mount a blower on the lid as your AC.
@@nicolasmabru - The Noria is smaller than a conventional AC, sleeker design, smart tech capable, less of a power hog (460 watts), cools more space at 5000 BTU, quiet at 50 decibels, weighing at 30 lbs, and a way more cost effective unit, only $400 -- it's quality engineer-design, since your priority is "people doing their jobs right" and it received nearly $1.5 million on Kickstarter within 45 days. It's currently in production. I would try to consider bringing the cost down, bc they're marketing their compact unit to those in apartments, tiny homes & RVs. Only a matter of time before they target boaters, too.

@@YourMajesty143 What materials are used? Is it resistant to salt water? The Noria is a great system for homes and tiny home perhaps although our 12v 7,000BTU draws only 340W at full speed and 200W @ 5000BTU making the 5000BTU Noria @480W now a "power hog" as you call it. A window unit simply isn't the right way to go for a sea-going vessel as they are not made to be in direct contact with salt water. Based on the market of window units, this unit by Noria actually seems awfully over priced as a 5000BTU window unit goes for about $150.00 retail. Please remember that warranty is also not the same. If a window units fails within the warranty period, will the manufacturer send a certified technician to the location on their time and cover all expenses?
@@YourMajesty143 And Noria is actually an internet scam, never delivering on their kickstarter...
I would love tto have that unit in my small office
Pretty cool looking!
I cant find your product online. "MPS" is not a very searchable trademark. got some.links?
what is the name of the product? what is the manufacturer? what is the application? Water cooling, is it of a boat?
this video leaves more questions than answers - it is negative information!
The model number is SC4.2K and is manufactured by Mabru Power Systems. The application is for a boat, yes. It can also be used in geothermal applications.
@@MabruPowerSystemsINC thanks
$1750 for it is ridiculous
Thank you for your input. You must be confused about the application for this unit which is why you feel this way. We are very competitively priced in comparison with our competitors.
oh geez that f i g u r e s !!!!!!!
@@MabruPowerSystemsINC confused??? it takes a child to see you can buy a spit system twice the power (more materials) for a quarter of the price. the only difference is a $100 heat exchanger used in millions of different applications across the world and a $10 water pump. people arent stupid. you are the one who must be confused or you are implying we are stupid. which is it?
www.coastalclimatecontrol.com/index.php/shop.html#!/MarinAire/c/25823726
You can't compare land units to marine. For starters, you gotta have a deeper condensate pan to account for roll, plus materials usually grade above and beyond a typical NEC rules installation. So no: that's about fair market - nobody is going to make 200k units a year which gets costs down to run of the mill mini split.
Where can I find out more information about this??
Perhaps catch some of the wasted heat energy from Honda to add to efficiency.
Nice.
YUP SOUNDS TOOO GOOD TO BE TRUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could this be installed in a cargo van converted to RV? Anyone has any idea or could point me to the right link(s)? Thanks!
It is possible but it requires an external radiator. We have more details on the video linked below: ua-cam.com/video/fboQsNBJ9Lo/v-deo.html
Made in? price? company ?
I want even SMALLER....not for me for animals very small enclosures ....no one makes I guess which surprises me
Peltier, less efficient. Workable would be heat exchangers from a fluid system chiller, small refrigerator compressors.
There are many 0.5 hp air conditioner in asia. That is 1255 Btu.
There are smaller air conditioners, but we have the smallest heat pump. (water-cooled with reverse cycle heat)
What're can I buy, get more info on 24V AC for an aircraft? NOVA AVIATION
Could you use this in a small RV?
The condenser is water cooled so it would be difficult to use on anything but a boat.
you should consider the RV market.. Not many super efficient Heat/AC units out there. Looking for a split system for RV/Expedition vehicle that can handle solar power.
duh. for $2,400
Can I mount that unit into the engine room? Is it ignition protected?
You want it in your cabin silly
If you mean is it Ex rated... no. But maybe the better question to ask is what is the IP rating? I assume this has IP55 rating? I assume you are looking to dehumidify when dockside/prevent condensation in cold weather [protect starter motor, etc]? For what it's worth, here's the link: mabrustore.com/products/marine-air-conditioner-self-contained-copper-4200-btu-115v-60hz-by-mabru
Now if only they had this with an air cooled condenser...
I am well aware that you ran the unit as a demonstration without the water lines hooked up which are the heat exchanger part of the unit my curiosity is if there is a actual external unit either you produce or someone else makes to provide a external cooling system maybe similar to a automobile radiator and fan that could be used to install on a RV or Motorhome ? More specifically I’m looking to do a bus Motorhome conversion utilizing a Vintage bus many generators use a similar system to what I’m referring to that they do circulate water in and out of the motor into a radiator that has a cooling fan bowing onto the radiator
This is an example of or 5,000BTU (same footprint as 4200 but with DC compressor) working off of a radiator in our workshop

I hope this answers your questions question
mono-channel audio (friend of mine says).... otherwise this is interesting.
STARTING AT $1750?
This is a unit made for use for marine applications this is why the price is more than a mini split.
www.coastalclimatecontrol.com/index.php/shop.html#!/MarinAire/c/25823726
Nice ac but to expensive honestly the price will kill your sales and you are going to end selling this for at least 200 or maybe 300
I agree, but I think their target market is boat owners with more money than sense.
Any more vids
We also have this video on our 4,200 BTU unit ua-cam.com/video/eSk5mPDjXyE/v-deo.html
almost 2000 dollars?sorry NO!
It’s called copper not cooper. Why are you asking so much money for such a small unit?? 😂
Ardie McLelland can be called copper-nickel or cupronickel www.dictionary.com/browse/cupronickel. If you are questioning price, you must be comparing to standard window units which do not compare with ours. This unit is water cooled and intended to use for boats so build quality needs to be better than what you will find in a stationary house.
Your charging a kidney for one mini ac dam
This unit is made to withstand the harshness of the marine environment. We must use top of the line materials to make that happen and it took quite a bit of engineering to make a unit as small as this one. I understand that it may be out of your budget but for the right customer, the selling price is actually very reasonable when comparing to our competitors.
