I was thinking, you know what would be a great speed run game? Kings Field. And here we are! But most importantly, I learned that the rumor that you can run down Guyra's back and grab the moonlight sword is true! That rumor has been around since the 90's. And back then, gaming outlets didn't bother to investigate silly rumors.
I actually did that back before everyone had the internet and by accident! I had already beaten the game and knew the route very efficiently so I was always trying to glitch past guyra to get the sword! One day sure enough I glitched onto his back ran down it and bam had the sword. My friend and I were both freaking out thinking we discovered something unknown, I had already known about sword magic and that was my favorite thing about that sword! Also I had previously gotten the drop from the earth golems for the spider sword which imo was much harder to get!
Fuck that farming is so smart! I had no idea the big kraken got deflated so easily. Ahaha you actually stand on Guyra's back with the MLG for the kill?? DAMN
What are the chances there's the out of bounds glitches in both 2 and 3 xD (well kf1 and 2 for the US) now that I know these things it's making me want to play again. I haven't seen any 100% runs of these...and TBH that's because kingsfield is one of the hardest games to 100% ever there's so much hidden stuff in the walls and walls within walls...fire wall was soooooo boss in this game
So...Is that the only place in the game you can actually use the moonlight blade? If so, I'm very surprised they even programmed it in as a usable item. What a crazy strategy for the final boss haha
As someone who recently played through king's field 1-3, that's what I thought. You're telling me they actually programmed the sword to be usable? Kinda funng
Not if you have the golden fountain and fall into the pit after obtaining it. You resurrect at the fountain and now can use it. It's got its own magic too.
you just need to mess around falling into that trapdoor at 8:00 in the video until you clip into the wall. you want to kind of fall into the edge of it and sometimes it will let you clip through. tough to do consistently, but if you mess around with it you'll probably get it.
SCPH-75000 and later PS2s run this game significantly faster than PS1s/older PS2s - that's what the [75K+] bit refers to. there are separate records for different hardware due to this
@@meauxdal you know it's really easy if you are a speedrunner, but you just need time, it's becausse you know the game perfectly that you are the most placed to make a tas, if you whant i can make a short tutorial like 2-5 min to show the basics...but for the emulation setup i dont know how it works
I still giggle when the compass says sex!
Aaaahhhahaa I knew I wasn’t the only one who would think that!
The same thing in Japan.😂😂
Watching this inspired me to buy the game off eBay.
I used to have it as a kid but it was too hard for me.
Good job on the run 🙂
gotta love the ending of the most powerful spells, return to the kingdom scene and the ending songs. so touchy
The final ost is so good
just incredible. thank you for this amazing display.
I saw yesterday's video and just knew there'd be a new upload in a day or so.

I think I remember doing that. I have a v.h.s. tape of me beating it back in the day, might have to find it.

@@HarryToeface I tried farming the spider sword for like an hour an gave up. I'll try next time I play.

This is outstanding wow
I was impressed by there being a glitch like 8:00

Only if you could reduce the lag. Very good run!

@@xenxander Ah interesting.
Thanks!
The best game ever!!!
Holy shxt! While I am lost!
What's up with the spell showcase at the end? Do you have to do something special to activate it?
You treated Guyra like he was trash
I could never beat this game as a kid thanks for destroying it 🤣
How do you do that OOB glitch?

do you think you can tas this, if you don't know how i can do it ?
i'm sure you can TAS it just like any other game (i haven't tried, i'm not a TASer)
