Can we just talk about the CHOREOGRAPHY?!? First off, I LOVE when artists do the choreography along with dancers, its so much more immersive and performative. 🫶🏽 I found it interesting that usually when you see interpretive/contemporary dance, they are not in unison most of the time, and when they are in unison, its at key moments or climaxes in the score. In this choreography its almost the opposite. The dancers are in unison the majority of the time, but then broke that unison at key moments in the song/story. I feel like it’s meant to emphasize that holding your inner child and looking back is something everyone does or has to do at some point in life. And when they broke the symmetry and unison, or moved in layers, it was meant to show that everyone has a different path in life, and different timelines to being able to reflect and embrace their younger selves. This was absolutely amazing, everything about it! ❤️🔥

For the VEVO performances, they always record the vocals isolated from the actual performance, but Rina Sawayama said "not on my watch" and served raw talent without filters. That's iconic behaviour if you ask me.
this brings me back to the Vevo live performances from the EP as I don't think we got a Vevo live performance from the Debut album so to get one for the title track of this album is the best ever!!! so beautiful and the choreography is insane!!!! can't wait for the album in 10 days and the tour in just over a month ❤

I'm in therapy right now and I had just started talking about my childhood trauma when Rina dropped this masterpiece. Needless to say that I always get teary eyed whenever I listen to this song. It always reminds me to be thankful to my younger self/inner child for being brave! ❤
