It is not just a bed, you both have worked so hard and really sacrificed to complete your home, being able to begin occupying it is your reward.
Put a dust ruffle on to hide your wooden frame then tour comforter you won't be able to tell the difference from a store bought and a home made bed.

This was one of those videos where I couldn't wipe the smile off my face the entire time! I'm so happy y'all are out of that trailer before winter. At least with doors on each bedroom you can minimize dust with your last push on mudding, taping and sanding the kitchen/living area. Thank you again, Anthony, for your service! And I bet they don't make Delta blankets like THAT anymore.
The ladder could be a decoration in your home maybe for quilts. Or for towels and Wyatt's bathroom to keep it for sentimental reasons.

My husband and I lived in a 16' travel trailer with no bathroom for 3 yrs and then moved into our 540 Sq ft cabin with a full bathroom, running water and a full size bedroom. Yes!! We know how you feel. Congrats!!!!

It may be just a bed but being that 18 inches off the floor makes all the difference. It does for me having arthritis in both hips, getting up and down from an ordinary bed is bad enough. Respect from a UK veteran to an American veteran, thanks for your service.

To me camp life was exciting. Then you moved the little trailer out of the camp, and now you've moved out of the little trailer. You've accomplished an incredible amount of work. The chicken domain, work shed, Thunder Dome, your laundry room, your garden, and more. Amazing. It surely must be a wonderfully satisfying life for you all. Happy for you. That is incredible how that blanket has been with you for all this time. Good for you. It is more than just the blanket but it is the story behind that. Again, thank you for your service. That bed is a great start to a permanent bed. Consider putting holes in the boards for air flow or better still remove the boards and replace them with slates. Make a headboard with attached side tables. You could even add drawers under the bed for long time storage. A bit of stain and you'll have a bed that will last you the rest of your life.

It brings many memories for me when we first slept in the house we built and out of the camper sitting on a flatbed that we were living in. Our house didn't even have walls we put up rope with curtains for divisions but it really got us motivated eventhough we were working fulltime. God bless you all.

No it’s a bed in your bedroom with a door and the bed is on the floor and you each have a side of the bed to get out of it is luxury so much respect for you two well done love the blanket story and the bed potato ❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🌼🌼🌼and a real bathroom just happy for your family xxxxx
I am so excited for you! We lived in an RV for a year and when we moved into our Park Model I was absolutely over the moon to be able to use a "real" toilet! I get every new joy you are feeling!
