I created a new account so I could play games with my friends who are lower ranked. I think I went wrong by entering my birthday, I never set up the restrictions. Not only did the restrictions limit everything I could do on my xbox, it ALSO limited everything I could do on my personal laptop which is only connected by email and the fact that it is a windows laptop. I was unable to access google chrome. I was also in the process of working on my college applications. Thank you so much Microsoft.
this means that a parent manages the settings that are restricted, a parent needs to make you an adult to fix this or you have to get your parent to change this themselves

So I couldn’t use my mic on any game and it said I needed a parent to change stuff . What I did to change this was go to my Xbox account and change my age, Because I am underage it wouldn’t let me use my mic. But since i changed it, it now lets me change the settings.
Its easy just go into your family setting on your console if you got family group and change the settings there that easy no need to withdraw consent or nothing
