@@EKKADIDDLEHOPPER we should never do that. I don't prefer them myself but many do. There's no reason both can't be part of worship, a team part of the choir, & mixing hymns with choruses. Our church doesn't have a choir now but our little songleader has a few behind & around her on stage ( none of that all dressed in black stuff & wild lights etc) & there's a projector for newer songs, but the songbooks are still used & the old hymns sung every service. She's very anointed & such a sweet spirit, it's a great balance & very unifying too. Best of both.

Played music all my life, but this is one of the most blessed songs ever written. We used to play a small combo at church. Me on piano and dad on guitar and a friend on electric guitars, and this was dad's favorite hymn to play. Love to hear you all sing it so beautifully. Brings back so many memories. They deliberately preach what the church wants to hear & insult the Spirit of God(Heb 10:29), because the brethren have itching ears 2Tim 4:3-4, Have turned the pulpit into comedy enticing sinners into a trap of hell fire(2Peter 2:2-3), Turning the eternal plan of God to redeem mankind into jokes(Ep 5:4) then trample over the work of Christ at the cross in Calvary(Heb 10:29). These false preachers have allowed a demon of nudity to pollute the alter. Because deceivers will be many(Matt 24:11) the lawlessness will abound, & love of many will grow cold (Matt 24:12)- have neglected moral laws. Women in the trouser/pants or men & women exchange their clothes (Deu 22:5), makeups(2K 9:30 a demon of Jezebel on alter), attachments i.e weave on(1Tim 2:9) are abomination to God, Wedding rings/ engagement rings are jewelry, the practice of joining marrying people with a ring originated in pagan ancient Egyptians and was improved by pagan Romans which was used by men to mark women whom they bought. It does not appear anywhere in the Bible for Christians to practice. Jewelries signify as Idolatry(Gen 35:1-6). Jewelries signify as Harlotry and Idolatry(Ex 32:2-6), Pr 7:10,27. However if you minister you better live close or God will judge you for it all sooner or later usually sooner with shortened days. In Jeremiah He tells His feelings and thoughts read it close you will then know the Lord better and best. The more you meditate on the word even more slowly the more you will learn, see and get out if it!!
