Notice how the graphic says since start of 2023 because the season before he played 3 straigth games without deebo and went 3-0.. 54/83 passing 735 yards 6TDs to 2 INTs. Very convenient to leave that out. The goal post moving when it comes to Purdy is wild!
And it doesnt include the playoff game they won without deebo last year cuz he technically started the game. They also wanna leave out that last year it was not just deebo out. It was also trent out which was the big issue along with cmc and purdy playing hurt
If Purdy plays well and wins while Deebo and McCafrey are injured, the media will move the goalpost and say "well it was against bad teams. I need to see him do it against good teams/playoff contenders".

You can’t discredit Purdy’s good games while keeping him under a microscope under the few games he’s lost.
You can't ignore the correlation of the losses coming every time he's missing one of his many pro-bowl level cast members. He's good but but it does slightly change the perception of exactly how good he is.

@TheNinerNexus you pick the single worst comparison. Mahomes lost his top reciever and won a superbowl. Mahomes had a down season with his number 1 option in decline and a questionable reciever core at times and won a superbowl. One of Purdy's options is out, and he loses to everyone, but the jets whose qb hasn't played in a year and a half. It's not about bad games. It's about whether he can do it without a stacked offense. Mahomes can have a bad game and its fine because we know he can perform with less than a stellar roster.
More than Purdy, I want to know if Kyle is able to call a good game in the next 4 games because he was awful in the Vikings game and he can alternate between Andy Reid and Nat Hackett week to week.

I disagree with Craig. These next 4-5 weeks are huge for Purdy. They will sign him but how they sign him will be determined this season.
Hypothetically, if he doesn't play well and the team doesn't win in the next few weeks but he turns it around when the main guys are back and wins a SB, it would make sense to evaluate him over those few games early in the regular season rather than a SB ring?
In other words, he can only be seen as good if he wins without the best players on the team? What QB does consistently win without a great team around them (on both sides of the ball)? None of them.
Purdy has done more than Dak has in his whole career, just based off of that purdy is always worth more, and definitely should get more than Dak.

Purdy the only QB they judge off of whether or not his players are available or not but When Pat doesn’t have Kelce or Chris jones he loses and he gets no flack or All Burrow career he always had elite offensive players and gets credit. Pat has had Kelce and Andy his entire career. Let him be in the playoffs and not have Kelce or go multiple games without Kelce and Pacheco then judge him off of that.

The media likes to constantly move the goal post on Purdy, in spite of him proving time and time again that he is a very good quarterback. Next week the media will say, "If Purdy can throw for 400 yards and 4 TDs without an offensive line, blindfolded, and his left hand tied behind his back, then we will see if he is a decent."

If you watched the game Purdy had the most tight window throws of his career and his release is getting faster. If anyone else had those stats in that game. Nick would say they played fantastic given the circumstances.

Danny Parkins is absolutely right. We will actually be able evaluate Brock Purdy in a normal setting that will be more like what the 49ers will be after Purdy gets paid. It is hard to actually evaluate a QB when you have the Justice League or Avengers at the skill positions. That is the argument. Maybe Purdy can do it. We will actually be able to see.

@@Joes35 Jones wasn't a HoFer until Mahomes got there and was also the only all-pro on defense prior to last season when McDuffie got there, who they got by the way for letting a HoFer in Tyreek Hill leave. Kelce was not a HoFer until Mahomes got there. The 9ers had 6 all-pros on OFFENSE alone before Purdy became the starter. The 9ers roster is leagues better than the Chiefs' outside the QB position and that is indisputable. Also Shanahan has been considered a top 3-5 HC since 2018. Why is it only Purdy that has to prove himself every single week? The guy is only in his 3rd year and is 18-5 as a starter. Last season he has a MVP caliber season and went to OT in the SB. He had one poor game this season and these are still some of his season rankings.

to address Mark's middle of the field, the Jets did have a target of WR Williams on a deep in about 30yds downfield on the RtP call. we are getting hints as to how good the offense could be. W2 was the RB Allen breakout party. maybe W3 we get the WR Williams breakout party. like you said the Jets haven't attacked the seam yet. the seam was a successful play for much of camp. i'm sure this is one of the things HC Salah intended when he said there's much left in the tank (or pages from the playbook not yet used)
