That is the OSD controller which allows you to locally adjust the settings for the camera. If you look closely you'll see writing that indicates which direction is up, down, left, and right and if you press in on the button, it will select the options on the screen.

What you must ensure with PTZ installations that will differ greatly from a standard camera install is that you have the correct gauge or thickness of power wire for
the increased current that a motorised camera will draw so if you start betting only black and white images, recurring reboots or no control over the camera then it is likely that
you will need to reconsider the thickness of the power supply wire and this problem gets worse with longer cable runs.
Good point, also I noted most cameras run on 12V 1A, while a PTZ may require 12V 3A to run.

Hi, im using a CNB Model: VCB-34VF it has an on-board OSD Controller, is there a way to access the menu from the DVR or a CCTV Tester? , id does have 1 pair of RS485 cables but i dont know how to connect them or configure them
What I don't understand is how to connect more than 1 ptz camera to the Rs485 on the dvr. Do you have a video or any links to pictures. I am thinking that the + & - from the rs485 on the Dvr connect to the + & - on the 1st cameras ptz conection ??? Then do I have take a new wire from the 1st cameras + & - ptz conection out to the 2nd cameras + & - ptz conection ??? Is this correct if so do I need to take any wires back the Dvr or just finish at the last camera. Thanks for any help.

How do you operate that osd switch??
Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

please can you help with the wiring of 360 Visions Predator CCTV System? I have wired it through the Matrix Control Unit16/2 -and the joystick VKXM-0845-EU controller with RS485 cables, all that is coming out of the camera is a bunch of wires that have been chopped off. I have managed to identify all of them, but am unsure as how to wire the 4 wire twisted pairs, i.e., Red & Orange TX/ and Purple & Blue RX From the camera do they go to the matrix or the controller, and which pins on a RJ11 6 wire plug? any help would be very much appreciated as 360 vision diagrams only cater for the special power supply connector board, there seems to be no circuit diagrams available, I can supply pictures... help me please

Modern IP PTZ cameras control the camera's movements through the ethernet cable itself alongside the video stream.

I need help with mine. I connected my ptz camera to my owl eyes dvr and the camera's autofocus feature doesn't work and it reverts to the blurred manual focus. But when i connect it to an Amazon dvr I bought it works. Why is this?
Set all the switches the same for the protocol being used.

I'm setting up ptz , but it doesn't respond to the control pad or the dvr control it just continues through a sequence of movements nonstop any help (pro x ptz)
Set the dip switches the same as the protocol being used.
I have a AP-IT90-70 CAMERA it has two wires coming out of the camera with some kind of switch on it that has a knob in the center and the words up on one side of the knob or button and the word down on the other side. Tell me how to operate it. The instructions don't make any since to me.
