He drew the guardian, made the lines wobble a bit to show it was awakening, lasso tooled the head to go up and shrink and come back to normal size and then drew a laser. It’s time consuming but it’s not too complicated! If you want to animate you can download a simple animation software or simply do a flip book to start out
