- Met up with dad to visit Mindy's memorial on highway 113, it was my first time going since the "accident". Accident meaning manslaughter. On a side note... I finally remembered my mic adapter. Woohoo!

KatKam, you should really try to ride with your Dad more often. it is Cool you know.. ! I used to ride with my Dad every chance I got.. he was cool to. We both had GOLDWINGS, He passed in 2010 Jan. I miss him so much. I still have my Wing but I just bought a 2016 Kawasaki ZX14R SE.. I wish he was here so I could ride with him this summer.. a wheelie past him like I use to do when I had my CBR 600 .. LOL. enjoy your time with your Father while you can KatKam , cause when he's gone you won't be able to ride with him no matter how much you want to.

The accident was terrible. I witnessed it. The woman driving the Charger panic braked when she saw the two bikers riding into her. Both bikers assumed she would keep driving so did not brake. It was a chaotic and horrible scene for almost 2 hours.
Mindy's bf (Jamaal Abron) who also died at the scene probably would have survived if he would have stayed still and allowed people to help him stop the bleeding but he needed to check on Mindy and would not have it any other way. Both the Yamaha and Kawasaki were mangled and impacted at about 60mph yet somehow the dumb woman driving the Charger and her passenger did not have a scratch on them. This entire accident was avoidable and the driver was distracted (on the phone but it was legally running through bluetooth car mic/speaker system). Stupid.
Can't sit here and tell bikers to drive safe because even when they are they cannot control an ignorant or distracted drivers actions. So ill say something else- stay lucky.

Thank you for the information. I was wondering and didn't know how to ask. I think it is a good idea that other riders know how other riders pass on because the information might save our lives when we ride next by knowing what type of behaviors people might exhibit while on the rode. Thank you again for sharing what had happened, and may they forever Ride In Peace on the eternal highway to heaven. I don't know if you ride, but if you do, may fate and luck be forever by you, friend.

im so glad we have heavy restrictions and tests before you can drive anything on the road in germany :( still many idiots (i just looked it up the usa has about 3-4x more deaths on the road, even with your low speed limits)

The first video we watched, of yours, was of you and Mindy riding and then we watched the visit to her accident site. We were in such awe and had to rewatch the first video. Our thoughts are with her and all her friends and family. :( RIP Mindy.
So sorry to hear about your loss of your friend Mindy!! I've been riding my whole life ( I'm 56 years old ). I've had at least 1 or 2 close calls every ridding season!! You really need to stay super frosty!! I haven't rode in the last year or so and I miss it like crazy!!! A few years ago I had to sell my bike and I really miss it a lot. That bike was a 1997 Honda Valkyrie. The Econamy crapped out and I had to sell it to pay my property taxes! Yuck!! Taxes here in illinois are stupid high!! I would move but there's too much family here, my wife won't think of it. Honestly I would not like it much either, we have 4 kids and a large pile of great grandkids too!! I still have an old 1983 LTD750 Kawasaki in my garage but it's not been on the road in years. I have now got a better job and I might be able to get a new/used bike next season. Just subbed your channel, keep frosty!!!!

I understand how it feels to lose someone very close to you , i had a friend pass away, he was like a brother to me , closest person i ever had , and i understand Mindy was an amazing person who you cared about , I hope she is in a great place and let her rest in peace. Head high ! Not many people have memories and moments that you had with her.

I would just like to apologize and say my prayers are with you! I had a friend of mine T-bone a car on the highway. The car was going 60 out of a parking lot at night. The driver of the car was not only texting, not indicating, but also 4 times over the limit of intoxication. Thankfully my friend only had a fractured right leg and three broken knuckles. I'm so sorry you lost your friend. Ps: Hunter Honda sent me and I subscribed.

I love seeing you and your dad ride I think that's so cool and I hope I can have that type or relationship and do things like that with my daughters and my son.
Something I wrote on the page of a dear friend when she was killed on her bike. I still think about her everyday:

Search PlugFones. Depending on what model Sena you have, if you have a headphone jack output, PlugFones come in handy. But I use normal foam earplugs and can still hear my Sena speakers.
