This doesnt applied to Java too, I play Java and the only thing is the iron golem you legit just right click and you wake them up or break the bed and move it
If you can already craft an iron door, you can probably fight the iron golems aswell, thus fixing the main issue with the resolution of just punching the villagers away
2 other ways: Make a garden/yard at the beginning with fence gates (villagers cannot open fence gates) Use iron doors. They cannot interact with Levers. Tip: make ur house a bit farther from the village (not too far). Search an alley (the road with path blocks) that isn't close to houses, and build the house AT THE END of the alley. I did this too and it worked. And im close to the village too. Tip 2: If u built a house, dont use blocks that villagers can interact with (cauldrons, brewing stands, composer etc.). They will come at your house and take the job corresponding with the block. Hope i helped!

Nice try, but this way you won't be able to enter the house as well, because if you try to open the door the villager will close it instantly. I have a better solution. Place the door normally and kill the iron golem, or just place the door 1 block above.

Fun fact:when u put a barrel instead of a chest,the nearest villager with no job,he will become a fisherman and get in your house becuase of the barrel
This was such a common bit of knowledge over a decade ago that it's wild to me that it's still being learned today! Sideways doors also stop other mobs that can get through doors like zombies on harder difficulties.
Also, if you build a house near a village, say bye bye to brewing stands, blast furnaces, smokers, grindstones, composters, cauldrons,cartography tables and lecterns.
