Brought a pokemon centre etb and got alolan Exeggutor Sir and brought a 6pack booster bundle and pulled Pikachu Sir. I’m keeping it and it’s worth more than £500 to me. I’ve been collecting for 20years and it’s the best luck I’ve ever had in a day on opening packs.
@ In playability? Pikachu is.. okay. But for art, yeah.. I’d rather take the Durant ex. It’s literally just a full art w/grass. At least Greninja had art worthy of its value
I mean this is Pikachu "the pokemon poster child" and also the very first Alternate art Pikachu card. This makes sense to me honestly. There are plenty of alt art charizard cards so it make sense the prices on them are below 200. This pikachu is the only one ever made and its price is going to reflect that.
It's really not the first. The Lost Origin TG Pikachu is an alt art of the regular Common Pikachu. And we've had plenty of alt arts as promos since the start of the XY block. We just need to wait for more to enter circulation.
@donavannj i knew someone would say that. It is not an alt art though. Its a trainer gallery and doesnt have texture or shimmer and is completely different than an alt art or special illustration rare. That makes this the first Pikachu card in this category
This sort of makes sense, but i feel like its price increase is def way faster than it should have been. I’m glad i got one but its to oc for a psa10, but idk whats the best option for it moving forward
@Scumbreon yes your right those two have texture, but they are not alternate arts or special illustration rares and are in the trainer gallery which puts them in a completely different category and makes them wayy less valuable. Like the Charizard V from brilliant stars is a alternate art and classified as such, but the trainer gallery charizard from Lost Origin is not considered an alt art per the way sword and shield defines them. Your making a point but its not hitting the mark. This pikachu is the first of its kind and first to get the designation of alt art/special illustration rare which is not the same as Trainer Gallery
Collectors are buying them as fast as there pulled and holding them . That’s the difference that’s what makes them rare. Gold is actually more rare so people are missing out on scooping up the golds
Of course the prices are crashing…when more people can open the set, cards like illustration rares and full arts go down in price because more people are getting them
I pulled the gold Pikachu at locals last night and was surprised how much it’s worth. Everyone also pulled the Durant, everyone with a different art of it. Kinda funny
I took my Pikachu SIR and traded for SIR Liscia and FA Liscia and I dun regret it. This pikachu EX SIR is just overhyped... Doesnt even look nicer then Latias EX SIR.
I sadly don't agree with you for once. I think personally don't push the agenda of "It shouldn't be this high" cause when you compared it to Charizard from 151, no offense but that was a terrible comparison. First of all 151 Charizard is overrated and there are much better looking Charizard cards out there, but I will agree on the comparison of Umbreon from Evolving Skies only because both cards have that "IT" factor, taking the Pokemon and making it look the best it can within a natural state for it's nature. Pikachu has so many things going for it and I'll list a few right now: One of the original 151/Has had video games dedicated to it/Ash from the anime it was his starter and remained his 1st choice for years/Had it's own movie a couple of times/It's a fan favourite for loads of kids etc. Pikachu has been one of if not the face of Pokemon for years and will continue to do so, we were robbed of a solid Alternate Art from the SW&SH era for Pikachu. This card deserves the high life and I hope it continues to do so, people are so easy manipulated and I know everyone wants this card, but sometimes just let a chase be a chase and actually hold some value.
You know what i was thinking about collecting Surging Spikes but i think im gonna pass because of the Pikachu. Im sorry, to the other mons you certainly did NOT deserve to be skipped on but as it stands the Pikachu is really pushing me to stay away. It's such a shame because because BLACK KYUREM WAS IN THIS SET 😭😭😭😭😭🤧🤧🤧
Now you all understood why i left TCG in gen 7, it's because of bs like this, there are so many good potential cards but fans are like "oh dear it's a Charizard or a Gardevoir or a Pikachu or an Eevee" so the fans have stabbed themselves by over playing favourites..
The Pikachu card has started feeling like a pump and dump to me, investors jack up the price by engaging in shading tactics just to dump all their stock once the price balloons to their liking. I pretty much have no evidence for this, but the way the price has just been skyrocketing seems suspicious. I can totally see this being a 2, maybe 3, hundred dollar card, but 6 hundred and rising? Nah, not so soon after release
Thats not the right intro
He likes gays
So, I still have wait for Ceruledge to keep dropping in price
Those prices are clearly manipulated by rich sellers buying their cards themselves high likely😂😂
Most likely shill bidders.
I pulled be special illustration, Pikachu and sold it about a week ago. I am now depressed.
Cry!
😢😮
@@perfectspare3009 how much did you sell it for mate?
@ $330 listing price, $287 and change made after eBay fees
@@perfectspare3009 not 2 bad. I’m keeping mine though as It’s worth more to me then £500.
Was somehow lucky enough to get Pikachu in one of the two PMC etbs I purchased. Rarely this lucky with these.
supply and demand...ppl want Pika, price goes up

I want to make a set of SSP without spending too much money, but this Pikachu might just make it not worth it..
Plus the Pikachu is easily the worst card in the entire set, even Milotic ex is a better card...
@ In playability? Pikachu is.. okay. But for art, yeah.. I’d rather take the Durant ex. It’s literally just a full art w/grass. At least Greninja had art worthy of its value
Same. My uncle and I were going to do a master set for it but now I’m not sure because of how expensive it is
I mean this is Pikachu "the pokemon poster child" and also the very first Alternate art Pikachu card. This makes sense to me honestly. @Scumbreon yes your right those two have texture, but they are not alternate arts or special illustration rares and are in the trainer gallery which puts them in a completely different category and makes them wayy less valuable. @pokemercenary6511 😮
Im waiting for the Pikachu SIR to crash in price. Its way out of my price range right now
What??? Prices are dropping?! Who would have seen that coming…
i got all the chase in Japanese in the early days and said good bye to this set because I predicted it’s going crazy
Collectors are buying them as fast as there pulled and holding them . That’s the difference that’s what makes them rare. Gold is actually more rare so people are missing out on scooping up the golds
I dont understand whos paying these prices or why 😂 its never gonna hold that price for the long run
The Latias SIR also goes real hard. Gorgeous artwork. ⚪️🔴
Like the pikachu card looks great but I don’t even think it’s the best card in the set I think it’s like 3rd or 4th best at least
Of course the prices are crashing…when more people can open the set, cards like illustration rares and full arts go down in price because more people are getting them
The pull rates are atrocious. 3 booster cases only got me 1 Pikachu 238. Thats insane
That's pretty heavy gambling
I’ve only opened 5 blisters and a booster bundle and I got the Latias ex and Exeggutor 💀
I hope the price goes down but I thought the same for the Magikarp AR and it never really happened 😭
You forgot to show latias ex tcg player graph that you were talking about
I pulled the gold Pikachu at locals last night and was surprised how much it’s worth.
Everyone also pulled the Durant, everyone with a different art of it. Kinda funny
Wait. All Durants have different art?
Normal, full art, and art rare. (It’s a small group)
Butthole Pikachu going nuts right now.
Lmaoooo
Your forgot to mention the latias going nuts in price as well
Watch the full video, he did
You say Lati "aas"
I say Lati "ahs"......
Pulled the pikachu first day of release it was a $65 dollar card gladly I’ve held on to it for a while but should I sell it now
Why even buy sealed product for this? Awful pull rates for a below-average playability set.
I took my Pikachu SIR and traded for SIR Liscia and FA Liscia and I dun regret it. This pikachu EX SIR is just overhyped... Doesnt even look nicer then Latias EX SIR.
Crashing?? Where? Not here in the US.
And people that pay $400 for the Pikachu are going to turn around and sell it for $600
Opened 54 packs of this set, 1 single illustration (dug) would have had a better time ripping metazoo
I opened a booster box, ETB, and 2 Japanese booster boxes and didn't pull a single Pikachu ex. T_T
Pull rates show Pikachu is about 1 per case.
I opened 6 booster boxes and 4 ETBs and didnt get one
I mean not a single variety. Forget the SIR, I couldn’t even hit one regular ex lol
In the best luck of all time I'm at about 100 packs into surging sparks and still no SIR or gold.
Ooffff

pulled my latias yesterday. guys BUY SINGLE BLISTERS trust i got trash luck from etbs and booster bundles
You think the Pikachu will fall? I want it but I can't really pay more than 100$
pikachu is doing great for my investment
Get a real job
Sad really Pokémon tcg if you wanted to play competitive must cost a fortune just to get a winning deck.
didn't we see this with Vivid Voltage last generation?
But have you always been told you have a voice for radio ?!
I think the pikachu looks better than the moonbreon imo 😭
Nah the Pikachu looks like a turd in front of Moonbreon.
I prefer the Pikachu as well but they're both not all that great.
Bro the pikachu looks so baad for that pricw @groudonor12
Yeah pikachu will deffinately take a dip since people are opening and will be cut theoating
I think Pocket Pikachu EX makes hype for having a Pikachu Ex in real life, adding to the crazy inflation
Pulled Hyper Rare Pikachu first pack, sold it for $100. And now it hypes up in price, oh well.
My investment should be this HIGH! ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I PLAY TCG AND COMPARED TO MAGIC THE GATHERING POKÉMON IS PRETTY CHEAP.
I was lucky to get Pika in my first box. But dang it’s insane that it’s $580+
FOMO abd price manipulation is real here.
Honestly pikachu needs to lose that crown and I might like it
I want a pikachu!!!😮
It's because of the pull rate is absolutely horrific. There's some who bought 3 booster box cases and haven't pulled 1.
The pull rate is the same as any other set. That’s a bit unlucky but can happen for any card. The difference is people actually want the card.
WHERE'S THE USUAL INTROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?????????
Surging Spikes lol

You're not going to collect from a set because one card is expensive? Make that make sense.
misleading intro... surging sparks going sky high
LOL too much it is NOT crashing, it is just the natural decline, stop being over dramatic
Got just one sir Hydragon from 6 bb. The pulrates are really hard. Think the Pikachu can go up to 800-900$ before any new reprint set in.
Need. That alolan Exeggutor
I sold it yesterday lol
Good

Yeah. Even though I didn't pull the Pickachu from 6 booster boxes, it doesn't look that good. The other ir's in the set look way better in my eyes.
I like the gold pikachu
This is so cope LOL just cause you don’t have it doesn’t mean you gotta cope this hard
Holy cope and I don't have the Pikachu yet either
This card will settle down at about $230/260. These are just the people with money who want it NOW!
Negative it’s a 3-4 hundred dollar card for sure
No shot
