It's probably also helpful that the cops did not get there in time to run into those guys. In a lot of these videos cops automatically escalate the situation, get too trigger happy and shoot one of the darker boys, while also confiscating the money, and claim they feared for their lives. All while police supporters would claim the boys deserved to be shot while anti police supporters claim it's another crime against colored people.

Still, depending where you live, $500 can get you quite far, I'm from a country in Europe where education is mostly free and in last 3 years of college I haven't spent more than 1250€ on education as far as I calculated in the time it took me to type this comment, +/-200€.
1250€ is roughly $1390 US.
500 dollars is still 500 dollars. And it looks like these students are truly kind and honest students so basically they got 500 each for being themselves

The cops or the owner could have over-reacted and just repeated the cycle of violence that has been going on forever. The kids, cops, store owner, and bank employees are all good people. A rare glimpse of hope for a better future. 😁
