The scientist that become friends with Viktor is the same scientist that help Silco create Shimmer, the reason why he looks so rough in the present is because the explosion Powder make in episode 3.
@@AllAgesofGeek Especially because Viktor and Singed are both Slavic-accented Zaunites who were either exiled from Piltover or subordinated to Heimerdinger.
I think what Heimerdinger saw change in Viktor was after he touched the hexcore, he looked sleightly more healthy, with more colour on his face compared to before. So Heimer knew he interacted with it.
I don't think you have the reason right for why Caitlyn gave up her rifle to heal Vi. I don't think it as calculating as thinking she needs Vi for protection. I think it's far simpler, and goes back to the young Caitlyn talking to Grayson in the flashback in the previous episode. To paraphrase, Grayson says "knowing how to handle this weapon means being able to protect people". Caitlyn handed it over, without hesitation, simply in order to help.
Also, Cait handed over her rifle un-loaded. Unless someone was able to get ahold of enforcer ammo, no one could use it. [I am assuming that the rifle had a unique caliber.]
At the end of the episode there are two things that always hit me hard, one is Jinx's little moment of doubt before lighting the flare, Jinx is terrified of being abandoned, if she lights the flare and Vi doesn't show up is the same as being abandoned once again (in her head), so that little moment of hesitation is symbolically very important to her character. Also the "Are you real?", that's the kind of things we say when something is too good to be true, but we know that for her it's different, she is literally asking Vi if she is real because she knows she can't trust her head, that shit breaks my soul every time.
Idk if this makes sense but it always so sad when crazy people are AWARE that their mind is fucked. It's so tragic seeing someone know theres something wrong and suffering. Like you said jinx cant trust her head, which I think would be so much more miserable than believing everything you see and hear is real. Like she knows lots of the shit she sees and hears isnt real, but it's still so powerful and loud that it affects her decision making.
Some things you may have missed: The girl seeing Viktor create the mechanical boat at the beginning of the episode, - Sky, is his assistant today Jayce asked to call Heimerdinger. - The Scientist Viktor knows in his past is the scientist working with Silco on the first arc he's burned like that from Powder's ape bomb in Episode 3. - Rio's mutation, which the scientist says should survive, is the shimmer, basically her body filters those purple flowers and turns them into the raw liquid that he refines to make the drug.

Actually in the drawing that the daughter of marcus drew, if you pay attention u can see his mother in the sky, so... i think Marcus is a single father as you say.
When Silco gets his breakdown, I don't think it's about Vander. I think it's all about Jinx. For the last years she has become his daughter, and he has done everything that he knows to help her with her mental trauma, and her demons. He recognizes the threat that Vi returning would pose, not only to his standing with Jinx, but more importantly to her mental fragility. He owns the Undercity and the Vi he knew from before could never pose an actual threat to him, but her mere appearance could fracture Jinx's mental health. The reason he is even out there and not just sending his goons, is that Vi isn't a danger to him, not his city, but to his daughter.
Silco is not a good father figure by any stretch of the imagination. He is a narcissistic psychopath who groomed and actively encouraged the worst behaviors of a mentally ill child (powder/jinx), while isolating her from anyone who would have helped her in order to cultivate her into his vision of the perfect daughter, and it’s somewhat implied he was molesting her as well..hes a narc and a manipulator. And the only reason he decided to raise her rather than murder her(from ep3) is because he projected his own trauma with Vander onto Powder and Vi’s relationship.
Just a comment, Silco lost it because he knew Vi coming back meant he would be losing Jinx. Keep watching and you guys will know what this is, not saying anymore 🙏😓
Remember that Jinx blew up Sevika's arm in episode 3. Like they did get off on the wrong arm. She's old enough to be jealous of a kid. I think she actually believes she is dangerous and unpredictable and that she is not fully committed to their cause. That makes her get upset about Silco trusting her so much and letting things go her way all the time, but not jealous.

A few things regarding Silco: The scene between him and Vi didn't really have anything to do with Vander directly. After Vi collapsed the building, Silco was throwing a fit because she escaped. Not out of typical villain rage, or because Vander's ghost is haunting him, but because he sees Vi as a threat to Jinx, his daughter. Vi is a direct connection to Jinx's past trauma and her old life. Silco knows that if they reunite, Vi will either be able to "bring Powder back," or (the more likely fear) Vi will be a source of pain and further trauma for Jinx. Silco has already worked so hard to get Jinx to work past her trauma and become stronger for it, just like he did. Vi threatens to undo all that progress. As for Silco and Vander's history, and Silco's current plans. He isn't doing "villainous things" because of Vander, or to spite him in some way. What he wants is for the Underground to be free, to be strong, to be independent. To be "The Nation of Zaun." It was briefly explained/implied in episode 3 that he and Vander once shared this common goal, but had a falling out with each other due to their different approaches. After leading a rebellion against Piltover and getting innocent people killed (like Vi and Powder's parents), Vander wasn't willing to sacrifice his people or their morality for independence. Silco believes they need to do anything to gain power and fight for their independence. He believes they need to become strong enough to break away forcibly, or scare Piltover into letting them go. This philosophy was shown in the flashback with Vander drowning him in the river. He had to use Vander's own knife against him to survive and get away. It's what he's trying to do now with Piltover.
Silco doesn't see Vi as a threat to Jinx, he sees Vi as a threat to himself. He didn't "work hard" to get Jinx past her trauma and to "become stronger", what he did was worsen her mental illness and mental state. He never had her work through what happened to her in a healthy way or in any way, instead he encouraged her to turn into a homicidal maniac commiting acts of terrorisms. How is that helping her? He believed Vi was dead (because that's what Marcus told her) and instead of telling Jinx this, he lead her to believe her sister abandoned her as a way to make Jinx resent Vi. Projecting his traumas with Vander onto her. And what did this do? Make Jinx even more unstable and fragile.
@@user-xm6by5ot4s I'm not saying Silco was a "good" father, or that he handled things in a healthy way, but he genuinely cares for Jinx and wants her to become stronger much in the same way he did. He wants her to replace that pain and guilt with rage and fury, and to use that as a strength. That's what the whole baptism scene was about in episode 5. And yes, Silco didn't know Vi was alive until Sevika got in a fight with her. When he does find out, his first instinct is to cover it up and keep Jinx in the dark. I believe this was his way of protecting her and maintaining that progress he had made with her all these years. He doesn't want her regressing back into Powder, or being hurt by her trauma. Now, how much of this is out of genuine compassion and how much is to further his own goals is up for debate, but I think it is both to some degree.

40:00 “it’s like that in our world”. NAILED IT. regarding vander and silco: they way i understood it - vander and silco was brothers in arms who shared a vision: the nation of Zaun, the undercity united (lanes, fissures etc.) and free from the administration of Piltover. Both Vander and Silco was leaders of this movement, climaxing in the battle of the bridge (ep1). after this battle, they part ways (the betrayal, from silcos perspective). The horrors of war had different impact on the two. Vander turned away from war, broke a deal with the enforcers, and keeping the lanes united and off the path of war. "Adopting" the kids (Vi, Pow etc.) also enforce his standing in terms of the stakes of violence. This is what Silco despise with his Vander, once his brother ("you are willing to die for a cause, but not fight for one?" ep3). Silco is more extremist, and wants to continue the fight for freedom (Zaun) through more violent meassures. This is why they parted ways, and probably the reason why Vander tried to kill Solco at some point (diffrent philosophies), to keep the lanes united and preventing a new war. The lanes it seems is loyal with Vander, he is de facto their leader (whcich Sevika questions in ep2). When Vanders kids get in trouble (and threfore also Vander) gets in trouble in ep.1 , Silco wants to exploit this ("our timeline has moved up"). Because getting rid of Vander, Silco can make a move to grab the power and be one step closer towards gearing to war. But the undercity is inferior, Solco knows that. Thats the role of shimmer, which is a sort of way of trying to ballance the power of Piltiver. Silco fights a poor mans war (terrorist tactics), he know he only needs to scare Piltiver, get their attention in order to bargain for Zaun! With the hex gem Jinx retrieves, he understand that they can craft an even more potent weapons (the shark gun, turnes out to be) to demostrate their will and force (weapon of mass destruction). Basically Jinx is a freedomfighter/terrorist depending on the prespective. This is all to real. There are doesens of parrallels to this in the real world!!! that is why i think, Arcane is a masterclass in storytelling. Because The driver of the story is the struggle between Piltover and Zaun, while the tech and the characters are the human stories we follow that play of off that. 3 layers, as in real world: politics, tech and most important: humans w dreams and struggles
i m a little late to the party but yes Marcus is a single father in episode 5 during "Ennemy" part, he is looking at a drawing from his daughter on his desk. We can see her wife pictured into the sky looking at them.
The scientist that helped victor was the same one that made shimmer and helped silco. The reason he looked like that was because he got cooked in silco's lab when the big boom happened
Im so glad to have found your reactions to Arcane. Ive been binging reaction videos and your reactions were one of the most fun to watch, truly :' , and the discussions at the end, i enjoy it so much!! I cant wait to see you guys watch the next episodes. You'll absolutely love the it!!! Ps in one of the later episodes you'll learn more about Mel ^^/ Anyhow (i doubt this is spoilers) the playable characters in league are Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, Heimerdinger, Jinx, Singed (the doctor/scientist with Rio and young Viktor) and Viktor (yes Viktor is also a playable character in League, but he looks very different which kinda gives us a hint of how he might become , just a heads up in case you guys are afraid of this 'spoiler') I will be following and awaiting the next reaction video!
If vi met powder alone this could have turned out a lot better. Caitlyn should never been at their reunion. Especially after how vi left her the last time.
I also felt weird about Heimer saying to Viktor he changed and he could be meaning physically because he is like a magical creature and the Hexcore that Viktor is getting linked to has a strong magical component, but I don't think so. I think he means mentally because in their last scene together Viktor was really depressed and talking to him like he had accepted death and now next time they talk Heimer notices that he's faithful and hopeful. I think he got the vibe that he's done something with the Hexcore that gave him hope that he could survive and leave a legacy behind.
The thing about Jayce's decision is, that Heimer doesn't give ANY leeway into the future, His words are it must be destroyed, one way or another. That forces Jayce's hand ta make that decision and even though he is sad about it he has no other choice if he is to save his best friend's life. Also one extra thing about Heimerdinger... He is a Yordle which is essentially an immortal race. When he is asked about contemplating death and replies with "Only that of friends and close ones", is because he literally cannot die. And 300 old is actually not that old for Yordle standards... There are some who have lived for close to a 1000. So yeah while I dont agree with every decision Jayce makes, Im on his side on this one, cause in general any kind of advancement that can be used for good and also potentially for evil, if youre gonna halt says advancement completely, several major discoveries wouldnt had happened cause of mindsets like that. Even things like medicine one could argue it could also be used as a poison for example. I get being cautious and taking time, but destroying something that could potentially save - change lives just cause it has the potential of also destroying I feel would apply on most scientific progress
There are two very strong connections, in league lore, with ties to birds. Specifically crows and ravens. Both have very real potential reason to be here in Arcane. Neither represents freedom.

Looking back at this makes me annoyed/angry as fuck, I know for a damn fact that Vi didn't want anyone else there in that moment with Jinx, but Caitlyn's nosy ass just has to tag along, detectives are like natural pests at times, sticking their nose in things when it obviously isn't a good idea, like bruh she's stuck with you for this long and you just said you knows she has a good heart, you should have trusted her and not stuck your nose in a place it obviously didn't belong, unless Vi didn't just fess up and say she was going to see her sister, in which case, what the fuck Vi, tell Caitlyn that you need some damn privacy, you know better than anyone how Zaunite's view enforcers, especially your sister who remembers just as well as you do who killed both of your biological parents, and that would have been the perfect excuse, either way one of them fucked up majorly. Then Ekko's dumbass pops in like a "boy savior" to further ruin Jinx's fragile frame of mind, if you hadn't seen her in all this time and suddenly she's come back looking exclusively for Jinx, something should have told you that Vi has just recently come back and further seeing Jinx in a vulnerable state like that and you being her enemy for all this time, you know damn well what would have happened if you showed up, needlessly endangering Vi, Caitlyn, and any other Firelight's that got caught in Jinx's crossfire, all for your own suspicion and inquiry. Like they're making these mistakes for understandable reasons, but it's still extremely frustrating and downright infuriating.

Yay, another arcane reactionnn, finally
Happy NEW YEAR!!!!
Your guys' faces when Jinx lit the flare is soo relatable!!!
Not only did Vander's prodigy escape, but she is the biggest threat to his relationship with Jinx.
Heimerdinger: The senate will decide your fate.
Jayce: I am the senate!
Shoutout to the 100% club you are the real MVP’s!
i m a little late to the party but yes Marcus is a single father in episode 5 during "Ennemy" part, he is looking at a drawing from his daughter on his desk. We can see her wife pictured into the sky looking at them.
Never clicked so fast!
Right on!
I'm so glad that you noticed Jayce is a total people pleaser!
I'm learning more about them with each video
I usually cut the video off during the breakdowns after the reaction. But you two are having some fantastic takes. Good stuff!
Wow amazing reaction video fantastic episode let's keep the classic hits coming😁✌
Ps in one of the later episodes you'll learn more about Mel ^^/
Anyhow (i doubt this is spoilers) the playable characters in league are Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, Heimerdinger, Jinx, Singed (the doctor/scientist with Rio and young Viktor) and Viktor (yes Viktor is also a playable character in League, but he looks very different which kinda gives us a hint of how he might become , just a heads up in case you guys are afraid of this 'spoiler')
I will be following and awaiting the next reaction video!
Thank you so much! We have been loving the series so far :)
Finally u guys are back ! :)
If vi met powder alone this could have turned out a lot better. Caitlyn should never been at their reunion. Especially after how vi left her the last time.
23:44 thats what I was waiting for imo such an underrated shot again my opinion
Strap in ladies, the home stretch is intense!!
10:58 MY EARS! please put a headphone warning on things like that next time
Cool Kat & Tat awesome show
Happy New Year!
@@AllAgesofGeek u too!
10:59 my ears died ☠️☠️☠️
a little volume warning would be nice next time 😭😭😭
earliest ive been!
Heck yeah!
Not sure why you are freaking out over the marble crystal, in it's perfectly round form it's stable. They showed that in one of the episodes.
If you want gritty and dark, Titans is a fantastic show.
Where these all filmed ages ago? Kat has different hair in each video lol
These are recent!
There are two very strong connections, in league lore, with ties to birds. Specifically crows and ravens. Both have very real potential reason to be here in Arcane. Neither represents freedom.
Have you guys watched the battingtion tapes
I like the reaction though I would suggest a volume warning...
I can’t even see what you guys are reacting to :(
We’re not supposed to. Look up copyright strikes and fair use terms 😊
@@padzman91 Then what’s the point of having a reaction if we can’t see what they’re reacting to?
@@OoXLR8oO cause you’re watching the vid mainly cause of the people and not the thing theyre reacting to? I assume you’re only here cause you’ve already watched the show? If not, go watch it yourself, it deserves to be watched yourself. Again, look up fair use terms, they’re just keeping their channel safe from strikes
@@padzman91 I wanna see them react to scenes man, not just the Arcane title logo.
@@OoXLR8oO It's difficult to see, but there is transparency and the video plays underneath. And we have audio. You have to rely on those hints and your own memory to fill in the scene. They're doing everything they can really to show you what they're reacting to, but this is the clearest way they can manage without getting into copyright problems and thus having the videos taken down.
SHEEEESH
Hi - mer- dinger
keep it down a bit, please. I'm deaf!
Well, if you weren't before ... 🤣
Downhill from here, ladies...
For real...
Scared but excited!
Like they're making these mistakes for understandable reasons, but it's still extremely frustrating and downright infuriating.
i love your reactions but god why do u have to scream so much
Vi coming back posed a threat to Silco's daughter so in return he threatened Marcus' one
