Well this is going into the navy times. Base CO will have a field day with this. And an SOP will come out on how to properly secure the boat and a boat log for sure.
We had a Royal Engineers fast patrol boat turn up on our pontoon all on its own. We offered to drive it back for them because the keys were in it and it looked like it would be fun but they declined our kind offer and collected it themselves
I'd hate to be the person who had to go in front of their CO to explain why one of his boats ended up drifting out into the channel without anyone onboard.....that probably wasn't a very pretty conversation for those individual(s) responsible
Secure boat for salvage and sell it back under maritime law. You are not entitled to keep the boat, but are entitled to a reward based on the value of the ship and its contents.
Whats happening to the navy, burned a ship under construction, forgets to secure a small boat. All in San Diego. Is the commandant politically connected. Biden owes a lot of favors.

Somebody is going to lose their Magic Decoder Ring for this one!!!!

Someone’s going to get written up for that 🐬
I was just thinking the same thing.
Someones ass is going to get handed to them by the CO.. 😆
Captain's Mast.
Name of the vessel is the SS Minnow... Gilligan would be proud! 😇
The moment when someone's fine Navy day turned to crap.
Forgot to properly secure the vessel. 😲
Once again, the Coast Guard answers the call for assistance from it's younger brother, the Navy.
Anytime someone like to call the USCG PuDdLe PiRaTeS I try to remind them they're almost always more competent than us, pound for pound.
GILLIGAN!!!!
Missing the vessel movement is a bad thing but what happens when everyone missed movement !
I want to know did the CG write up a citation for this?
Big time unsat!!! Going to meet the Captain at mast.

Missed the boat🤣🤣🤣
Somebody's got some 'splaining to do.
It just goes to show you it happens to the best remember that next time you guys come across the boat that's drifting.
Definitely mineman. 😓
cool free dinggy, i would name it dong... ok ill see my self out
uh oh...someone is in trouble
That reporting capt should have secured the vessel.
Someone should salvage it. It's a hazard to navigation.
Someone head on the chopping block today. This is not the way the Navy treat their boats.
Awesome 😊
They were too busy doing each other’s nails
Oops! Did I do that?

Oops 🤦♀️
Probably not going to be good for that boat crew!
Thingy?
If you're going for a German translation, yeah. Dinghy. Thingy.
Our tax dollars at work
What ... work is that ..... talking?
