You didn't _kill_ Hawke. You left Hawke in the Fade. There's a difference. We don't see Hawke die, and frankly, if you're Hawke enough to defeat the Arishok and Meredith, that spider is a piece of cake.
The false Calling is probably blocking his ability to sense the Blight in others. In the Calling book, a Warden who is going through the (real) Calling couldn't sense darkspawn anymore. There's also a message a Warden leaves in DAI that says she's having a really hard time sensing the darkspawn over the false Calling.
Sam Niloy Nope. I had Loghain as Hawke's Warden contact and Alistair as king. If Loghain is spared and Alistair is hardened then Alistair is pissed and leaves the party but he agrees to become king.
not necessarily he can be made King but Loghain is dead in my current playthrough as Alistair killed him but my Warden and Alistair are King and Queen of Ferelden in my current playthrough. Just playing through the extra DFLC before progressing onto DA2 and DAI again.
Is it just me or does he sound really bitter about being a Warden and everything going on. Like I helped end the blight and now frigging darkspawn..come on!
I definitely thought he sounded bitter! Bitter, tired, and worn out. Probably also struggling with being away from his beloved warden for prolonged periods of time. That latter part is my headcanon, though ;)
Michelle Careaga I agree. with the Warden and then Hawke we saw them having a life before and how it was taken from them. the Inquisitor is too much of a blank slate.
i dont consider this the path hes happiest at all lmao, he seems bitter and tired here. if you harden him in origins he actually wants to be king, and in 2 he seems happy being king especially with a romanced warden. no inquisition cameo but i always pick that because he seems the happiest there and you dont have to choose between him or hawke dying.
@@verminscum Same. But, as far as the origins Alistair is concern, he mentions this much. That he much rather remain a warden. In this aspect however, knowing what we know of future events and possibilities and how his appreciation for any of his possible roles unfolds, that we can truly play god here… he may not know it back in origins…. But, I agree, HE WILL BE HAPPIER, or more fulfilled as a King. Edit: plus again, I don’t want to have to choose between either lmao 🤣 so he stuck there regardless, I’m just happy that long term, he IS* happier there X)
So Alistair is replacing Stroud, does that mean you get to choose between him and Hawke? The bastards, that's a choice I'd rather not make. (It's Alistair though, of course, it's Alistair).
*lol* Like the uploader, I had weird self-jealousy with Alistair and my Warden/Queen, so I rolled a single Grey Warden Alistair next time. It's positively BLISTERING how sexily bitter and lonely he is when Dude!Cousland marries Anora and made douchebag choices, and in that case he's possibly still a virgin, and then of course he can potentially not survive DAI. I was like, "OH DEAR GOD JUST *TAKE MY DWARF*, ALISTAIR! TAKE HER!!!!" I feel like he's even sexier in this game than he ever was before. If only he'd been an option... Blackwall and Bull would've stood no chance whatsoever.
If it had been an option to keep Blackwall or Alistair as the Grey Warden informant you bet your lamppost in winter I would’ve kicked Blackwall out so fast!
The model animations in cutscenes looks so restrained that makes it a little hard to get suck into the moment. It’s easier when their talking during game play and you just have the voice acting to go off for emotion.
Man I wish I could play all these games one after the other so I can build a story up with my decisions I've always had to play it on different consoles and without DLCs I didn't know I was missing on so much
If you have an xbox and have gamepass the base games are free. But you have to buy the DLCs. I started inquisition and realized I needed to play the first 2. I finished origins and now I'm playing DA2.
I'm currently doing a replay of DA:O, and I have to say, this doesn't seem like the same Alistair. Still, interesting to see what they did with the character, I could never get into Inquisition.
I have to say, he did seem like a very different Alistair to me too, and I remember a lot of the community saying he's just older and more weary/hardened from life as a Grey Warden. Made sense to me, but he did seem to be very exhausted and fed up--none of that Alistair enthusiasm we all fell in love with in Origins.
you know something occurs to me while watching this, how is it you get this much talk from Alistair here about the wardens and the hero of ferelden, but as King you can miss out on getting to see him entirely if you go for the templars to help with the breach. because if you don't go for the mages, that's the only time you get to see him as King, and it's a very short visit. another thing that bothers me is, Alistair might be a king but he's still a grey warden. so how he would not hear the calling, unless his duty as king keeps him further away from Coryphous. still he should be able to make another appearance to offer some advice, if he was a romance option for a female Warden, i feel that was a missed opportunity on Bioware to not include him a bit more in the story. hell even Hawke got more screen time in Inquistion, yet somehow Bioware felt the Hero of Ferelden didn't need to be in the game at all. this is why making Alistair king, you feel like nothing was really gained, because he doesn't have much of a role in the game. i wonder if it was Bioware or EA thought the only way for Alistair to have more of a role is to not make him king, but Origins told a different story. throughout dragon age origins, it seem to pretty obvious that the game was trying to tell the player that he should become a king, and there were plenty of signs that suggest that would be the best outcome for him. but in Inquistion, as king he's just somebody in the background. like after Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, King Alistair should've been apart of whoever you decided to be Orleis next ruler. like why couldn't he come and meet them for some kind of peace greeting afterwards. or maybe Alistair makes an appearance in Skyhold, he asks to meet the Inquisitor about wanting to meet the Empress if you decided to support her, or go one of the other two ways. like why couldn't that have been something they could've included, instead you get a run in with Alistair which is a very short visit, and he wants to kick you out. but see nobody ever wants Alistair to be here, because then it makes it harder to choose between Alistair and Hawke on who gets left behind in the fade. this is why i can never spare Loghain in Origins, i did spare him twice in the past, but after replaying the series Loghain being here feels out of place. this is why Stroud makes the most the sense, Alistair should've had more of a role in the game as king. i can never leave Hawke behind in the fade, there alot of people's favorite, including mine. it's not because he or she is Varric friend, it's because of how much time we spent playing as them. the Hero of Ferelden only gets referenced here and there, it's like there forgotten. but that's what happens when a publisher like EA takes over for Bioware, because there all about making deadlines, they can care less how much of a game is finished.
Next time I play DA:O, I have to put Logain in this spot with Alistair and Anora as monarchs, sacrifice Logain in the fade, because I don't want my Hawke to die and make Varric sad. Damn you, Bioware, for making players have to choose between Alistair and Hawke. That's just cruel!
just sacrifice stroud lol i cant pick between hawke and alistair, but i hate leaving logain alive since it ruins your friendship with alistiar so stroud is an easy compromise
Yes, Wardens can sense each other. Wardens do it in the Calling book and Anders does in DA2 to find the Wardens in the deep roads if Bethany/Carver get tainted.
I got a question how do you get the quest on d:o to end the curse because at the end of da:o when the warden live I only get I stay or I go or travel but not go look for the curse
That doesnt happens in origins. It happens in witch hunt, and it is not until inquisition that you actually learn that morrigan gives you a lead to cure the calling.
how do you get Alistair to remain in the grey wardens after the landsmeet? I assume he must be unhardened, so he doesn't want to be king and you kill Loghain and not him. something like that?
Bruh he looks nothing like Alistair. It's interesting because you look at the other characters and they are hd and well done, but they made Alistair almost low key uncanny valley.
Totally. He looks pretty much like Cullen(the Inquisition version) which means he's undeniably good looking though. At least I want that messy.. untidy hairstyle of him back. That'll make it more like him.
you just have to make sure that you didn't make Alistair king, replace him with Loghain or have him sacrifice himself to kill the Archdemon in Dragon Age: Origins. So he should be left alive and still a Grey Warden at the end of Origins for this to happen.
you only get alistair if you didn't make him king, didn't recruit loghain as a grey warden and didn't sacrifice alistair at the final battle with the archdemon. definitely no need to mod anything. and yes, these prerequisites can be done in the dragon age keep if you didn't play origins. hope this helps!
if you make alistair stay with the wardens in origins, stroud is replaced with alistair in inquisition. if you spared loghain and he lives, stroud is replaced with loghain. the default state where alistair is made king is where you get stroud in inquisition.
Blackwall: Duncan. Oh. Y-Yeah. YEAH. Duncan, man. Right?

It's painful since the fact he's Hawke's Warden contact means either Hawke or him will have to die in the Fade. I'm glad I had Loghain here.
Aska2468 if loghain was there, then alistar is either excecuted or a drunk
Sam Niloy Nope. I had Loghain as Hawke's Warden contact and Alistair as king. If Loghain is spared and Alistair is hardened then Alistair is pissed and leaves the party but he agrees to become king.
not necessarily he can be made King but Loghain is dead in my current playthrough as Alistair killed him but my Warden and Alistair are King and Queen of Ferelden in my current playthrough. Just playing through the extra DFLC before progressing onto DA2 and DAI again.
@@allahuakbar3639 if you harden Allistsar he becomes a successful King after you recruit Loghan.
How do you do that anyway? Do you have to import a save, it seems like the Keep doesn't allow you to keep Logain alive.
@@lostbeyondpluto yeah, that could be it, personally I always romanced Zev.
@@lostbeyondpluto so where is the warden during all of this? Surely they could’ve wrote to each other
@@AstarionWifey they're off finding a way to cure wardens of the calling, from what I remember.
Hawke and alistir being friends is making my inner fangirl scream
him : it killed her
text: it killed us
i felt that
Aww..That feelings.
If this is the case, you shouldn't really wish for this cameo. He has better futures.

Sekh moriggan best
Alistair's armor: Rolls Royce
Alistair's shield: Walmart shopping cart
imagine having to choose between sacrificing hawke and alistair??? so glad i made him king lmfao
I just wish we had part 2 of either the Warden or Hawke. They were more relatable than the Inquisitor even though the game is great :/
what was missing was some background story for the inquisitor. it would have been nice to see their lives before the sudden change.
For me I am far more bonded to my inquisitor than my warden.
Michelle Careaga I agree. with the Warden and then Hawke we saw them having a life before and how it was taken from them. the Inquisitor is too much of a blank slate.
+Rebel Rose i love my inquisitor but i agree, they should have let us see his/her past
Lol warden dont even talk
Damn it... why must this be the path that makes you happiest Alistair?!?! 😭😭😭
Why you making me hurt Hawke and Fenris you kind and sexy as$!!!~ 😭😭😭
i dont consider this the path hes happiest at all lmao, he seems bitter and tired here. if you harden him in origins he actually wants to be king, and in 2 he seems happy being king especially with a romanced warden. no inquisition cameo but i always pick that because he seems the happiest there and you dont have to choose between him or hawke dying.
I need to go play origins and romance him again cause this gave me nostalgia
Uh huh... sure Blackwall
So Alistair is replacing Stroud, does that mean you get to choose between him and Hawke? The bastards, that's a choice I'd rather not make.
(It's Alistair though, of course, it's Alistair).
It's been years and I still watch these videos time to time... Especially when I replay the games. Goddamnit I love Alistair...
Wait so I can have Alistair be in Inquisition without being king?
Time to play DA:O again
Kind of. He gets an appearance and war table mission if you side with the mages.
what? mine is different, i never met alistair, i get the one with the crazy mustache...
Inner Machinations that means your world state isn't set up for Alistair to be alive/still a warden and not king/etc :)
that would be Stroud I tend to have him in most of my playthrough's as well although I've played all 3 warden options.
sjsharp2007 and
I still believe the dogs raised him to be king
What a MVP, an invested gamer and a passionate lawyer!
Petition for next DA game you get a chance to make your crew with Hawkes, the hero of Ferledan and the Inquisitor for a massive big bad
Your Inquisitor looks like Krem’s long lost elven brother from another mother.
Praise the Sun Don't be sexist
If it had been an option to keep Blackwall
or Alistair as the Grey Warden informant you bet your lamppost in winter I would’ve kicked Blackwall out so fast!
The model animations in cutscenes looks so restrained that makes it a little hard to get suck into the moment. It’s easier when their talking during game play and you just have the voice acting to go off for emotion.
hes cute in both this and oriigns
Man I wish I could play all these games one after the other so I can build a story up with my decisions I've always had to play it on different consoles and without DLCs I didn't know I was missing on so much
If you have an xbox and have gamepass the base games are free. But you have to buy the DLCs. I started inquisition and realized I needed to play the first 2. I finished origins and now I'm playing DA2.
That sad moment when you don't get alistair as warden :(((
WHY ISN'T THERE A SPINOFF OF THESE TWO OMG
I don't see any vallaslin. Someone was charmed by the egg
Love that a youtuber I follow plays same game as me and loves Alistair too though I liked Zev slot also
I didn't get any scene with Alistair in Inquisition. Cause he was a Kirkwall drunk in my game
you know something occurs to me while watching this, how is it you get this much talk from Alistair here about the wardens and the hero of ferelden, but as King you can miss out on getting to see him entirely if you go for the templars to help with the breach. because if you don't go for the mages, that's the only time you get to see him as King, and it's a very short visit. another thing that bothers me is, Alistair might be a king but he's still a grey warden. so how he would not hear the calling, unless his duty as king keeps him further away from Coryphous. still he should be able to make another appearance to offer some advice, if he was a romance option for a female Warden, i feel that was a missed opportunity on Bioware to not include him a bit more in the story. hell even Hawke got more screen time in Inquistion, yet somehow Bioware felt the Hero of Ferelden didn't need to be in the game at all. this is why making Alistair king, you feel like nothing was really gained, because he doesn't have much of a role in the game. i wonder if it was Bioware or EA thought the only way for Alistair to have more of a role is to not make him king, but Origins told a different story. throughout dragon age origins, it seem to pretty obvious that the game was trying to tell the player that he should become a king, and there were plenty of signs that suggest that would be the best outcome for him. but in Inquistion, as king he's just somebody in the background. like after Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, King Alistair should've been apart of whoever you decided to be Orleis next ruler. like why couldn't he come and meet them for some kind of peace greeting afterwards. or maybe Alistair makes an appearance in Skyhold, he asks to meet the Inquisitor about wanting to meet the Empress if you decided to support her, or go one of the other two ways. like why couldn't that have been something they could've included, instead you get a run in with Alistair which is a very short visit, and he wants to kick you out. but see nobody ever wants Alistair to be here, because then it makes it harder to choose between Alistair and Hawke on who gets left behind in the fade. this is why i can never spare Loghain in Origins, i did spare him twice in the past, but after replaying the series Loghain being here feels out of place. this is why Stroud makes the most the sense, Alistair should've had more of a role in the game as king. i can never leave Hawke behind in the fade, there alot of people's favorite, including mine. it's not because he or she is Varric friend, it's because of how much time we spent playing as them. the Hero of Ferelden only gets referenced here and there, it's like there forgotten. but that's what happens when a publisher like EA takes over for Bioware, because there all about making deadlines, they can care less how much of a game is finished.
Next time I play DA:O, I have to put Logain in this spot with Alistair and Anora as monarchs, sacrifice Logain in the fade, because I don't want my Hawke to die and make Varric sad. Damn you, Bioware, for making players have to choose between Alistair and Hawke. That's just cruel!
just sacrifice stroud lol
i cant pick between hawke and alistair, but i hate leaving logain alive since it ruins your friendship with alistiar
so stroud is an easy compromise
Would be nice if I could meet my own DA:O character
Shouldn't Grey Wardens be able to sense each other since they have darkspawn in their veins? Like, how darkspawn sense them and them in return.
Yes, Wardens can sense each other. Wardens do it in the Calling book and Anders does in DA2 to find the Wardens in the deep roads if Bethany/Carver get tainted.
what sparkling outfits....
Just a small thing I noticing especially after learning about his past, but Alistair’s ears have a little point
? thats not a thing, thats just something thats mentioned in inquisiton
why do you get to meet the humours man of my dreams and the only man i see is super moustache bro? i'm much prefer him thank you very much
If Alistair was crowed king he naturally won't appear in this mission.
and you have to side with the mages
Tanko Ha that dosend matter the only thing you need is him survive origins and keeping him an warden
If only you can determine world pre state in inquisition through the game intro instead of a website on your own terms. Hopefully, next game
"If nothing else, I'd like to warn her about Corypheus." 😭😭😭😭
Alistair ♡♡♡
nooo...anders!someone save him *cries*
Oh dear goddess, Alistair looks like Rocco Siffredi !
Wait,,, Lost Beyond Pluto who posts M&H videos played Dragon Age?!?! Looking for videos of my favorite romance in DA and here is LBP!!
BLACKWALL: I DO NOT FEAR THE CALLING.... hEHE
how do you get Alistair to remain in the grey wardens after the landsmeet? I assume he must be unhardened, so he doesn't want to be king and you kill Loghain and not him. something like that?
How did you meet him but when I went there it was Warden Stroud
YAMO Knight it depends on the world state you choose at the beginning of inquisition
“Right, Duncan, good man”
The only time I’ve ever hated Blackwall. (Because how dare he lie using Duncan’s name)
Shit I've been doing this wrong brb starting my millionth playthrough of origins
I like that they changed his ears to be more elvish
Hear the music? Wardens are frakking toasters!
How do I get this world state? I mean what choices do I have to make? I always have Stroud
you just have to make sure that you didn't make Alistair king, replace him with Loghain or have him sacrifice himself to kill the Archdemon in Dragon Age: Origins. So he should be left alive and still a Grey Warden at the end of Origins for this to happen.
@@lostbeyondpluto ok. Thanks!
Im sorry but how do u get alistair instead of Stoud here? Is it even possible without mods or passing by Dragon age keep?
you only get alistair if you didn't make him king, didn't recruit loghain as a grey warden and didn't sacrifice alistair at the final battle with the archdemon. definitely no need to mod anything. and yes, these prerequisites can be done in the dragon age keep if you didn't play origins. hope this helps!
What armor is your inquisitor wearing?
I tried and cant get this scene with Alastiar. Sigh... is it cuz I married him in the last game?
You need to kill Loghain and make Anora rule alone
I ended up with Loghain so i was tots fine with killing him in the fade
Loghain finally got the redemption he deserved.
Darth Portus Personally I let him take the blow on the archdemon. He gets to redeem himself from causing civil war in fereldan
How you get Alistair in the picture, mine don't do that. sigh..
if alistar stayed as a grey warden in your story then boom
you did dragon age keep right?
I was trying the dragon age keep. but don't have PS or Xbox. I have PC. but. how do I get it on PS and Xbox?
You have to upload your story to Inquisition. After you make changes to your story, there's a "Import to Dragon Age" option.
Oh.. Thank you for telling me..:) I should start now..
Seriously if we don't get a cameo of our wardens in DA4 I'll be pissed xD not really but still
Does Alistair gaet affected and show up too if he's the king?
nope, he plays a completely different role in inquisition as king.
@@lostbeyondpluto No mention of him hearing the call and all?
@@AdrasAdraki . No. No mention of it.
It's the spiderman meme all over again
when i played this part of the game it was someone completely different
how did i miss this? some other warden. not him??? what?
if you make alistair stay with the wardens in origins, stroud is replaced with alistair in inquisition. if you spared loghain and he lives, stroud is replaced with loghain. the default state where alistair is made king is where you get stroud in inquisition.
