The chevron charm is actually very strong. In most runs you kill more than 15000 monsters and that gives you a bonus of at least 150% damage and that's just the effect of level 1. That's why his upgrades seem weak. sorry for any misunderstanding (Google translate)
I have tried the guarded grip a bit and I have like two takeaways when I tried it: You really want some help with aoe from your base gun whether it is rpg or missile launcher or one of the penetration guns. Stacking exp with the guarded grips bonus exp is a decent way of going about it. Levels give you special power and also just using sheer amount of levels to overcome slightly lackluster stats helps surprisingly well.
14:35 So the under barrel cooldown is increased, which means at 100% cooldown, it cools down 100% faster i.e. the cooldown has 50% duration. At 200% cooldown, it has a 33% duration, and at 300% cooldown it has 25% duration.
I don't think I'll ever understand the excitement most of the youtubers I'm watching get from the containment field... To me it seems like every run would be way better (or at least equal) without taking it 🤷♂ Maybe it's just a whole engagement-bait for me to play the game myself^^
@@salveteinfernum He never said he didn't like it, just doesn't understand why ppl like it that much. I think it's because it is a bit more challenging and it might be kind of aestheticly pleasing?
Try "optical cabine" gun with "orbital dissuasion" barrel. even if you somehow drop you bullet dame to 1, you will just delete anything near you. Just dont get bullet count to 2 before getting orbital dissuasion because that gun has the worst spread ever so auto arm will not hit anything.
Did he ever get the item from the other side of the door? I know he saw it a couple episodes ago and then he kept starting at the maze to get it and kept dying but I can’t remember if he ever made it and he’s over here saying there’s nothing left in the zone 😂
I think the retaliation build *can* work well but there were a few flaws in build selection (at least it seems that way to me, full disclosure I don't own the game so take it with a grain of salt). Please note that it's still really fun to watch you play and I don't mean to sound as sour as I am, I'm just not sure how to write this analysis (critique? Series of thoughts?) in a more light-hearted tone. 1) Range selection, retaliation damage is very short ranged for the most part, so you want to build at least one solid alternative to compensate for that, and the containment field is antithetical to that, as you no longer have the ability to deal with periphery enemies so they can quickly build up and leave you surrounded, this is then compounded by the build the drone was using which is also a short range AoE and the movement setting meaning it will never boost your armour. The bayonet also suffers from the same issues, although personally I don't think it's very good in general. 2) Scaling, retaliation damage obviously scales with special power, and while it can get very strong it takes time so going in on it at the very start of the run leaves you at a severe disadvantage, this in turn reduces your ability to clear waves leading to unnecessary damage and means you can't explore freely, which will probably mean you end up with less XP and map exploration overall. 3) Dependency, having your build reliant on only retaliation means that against high damage enemies such as bosses, big orb towers, and the bomber/pilot bees means that it will takes ages before you can kill them and get their rewards, which slows the run down as in the case of the towers and bosses they (can) provide a power spike but that will get pushed backward meaning you're weaker for longer. Then there's the fact that several the upgrades you take have synergy potential that gets wasted, which feels a little bad to watch. Some alternate paths that I think could help: - Grenades could be really good given the number of shrapnel that explodes out of them, or if you wanted something slightly different the elemental grenades would benefit from the electric damage from the barrel, ice from the frozen magazine, and might from the razor grip cutting damage (it does say [cutting element]), and the razor launcher grip shoots when reloading, so that pairs well with grenades which also regen from reloading. - The laser could be pretty nice with the ammo rack, allowing you gun to do the heavy lifting at the start while you scale, while both giving you some much needed range. - The blood/vampiric magazine while it does nice damage, and can you some decent health regen, it seems like a trap as you're now either always half health while your primary damage source requires you to take damage and therefore removing the damage bonus from being >=50% HP, or your fire rate is so low that it renders the damage bonus moot. - The main benefit of the containment field to my eyes is that you get to hit several enemies with any given projectile, the gyroscopic harness and its upgrades gives you loads of gun damage (alt long range damage source), penetration multipliers (same benefit as containment field), and bullet size (less likely to miss and more likely to hit several enemies) in the same slot, and fire rate upgrades are really common so it's not like you'll have to struggle to regain that stat.
Yeah I was super disappointed when I unlocked her. It’d be great if it didn’t take forever to recharge even with cdr on it. They are gonna have to rework her to make her feel better to play. Grim just has better utility even with frenzy being a long cooldown and is lot more fun to play because of it
If you want experience and maximize resuorce gain try using the containment with whatever weapon you want a lot of rate of fire and do not use the drone, if you don't use the drone the characters will be able to mutate faster because you will have more personal kills
Do you have the drone ability that it shares armor with you? That is a huge boost as well! I think my game is bugged though, because even though I bought the targeting/movements for my drone, I can't equip them. I can't use the arrows by clicking OR on my keyboard to switch off of default. :(
NVM, I do see it when he gets close. :) The shielded guard would be good since you unlocked the explosive shielded guard. Good survivability with the shield and when it breaks it states that "All enemies take INSERT HERE damage". I haven't tested it out yet to see what defines "ALL" cause if that is like screen wide or more, then holy hell that would be great.
You have to beat the tree final boss and above the merchant is an area that is accessible after you beat it. It costs quite a bit of money though to access them.
After opening the door above the Arms Dealer, you need to find the various Drop pods around the map and "re-assemble" them by carrying parts lying nearby to get them and their perks available to buy and such. (Tipp: You can pick up, and drop, and again pick up, and again drop the parts to move faster.)

You dont realize how much 0.01% per kill add up until your Kill count is in the quadriple digits.

Those temporary bonus things have 3 tiers of bonuses, depending on how many of the 3 sections you complete.
Wander keeps forgetting that the Drop-pod Scheduler exists.

I will say there are alot more hidden paths that you are missing. Tough but fun to find.

It allows bullets with penetration to hit the same targets multiple times, increasing damage to targets near you - the ones more likely to damage you
How come people like things I don't? 🎉🤷🏽♂️
I just wasn't able to wrap my head around why I would want it with my runs so far, now you baited me into trying it 😂

I grabbed it off camera on a real boring failed run.
@wanderbots hate it when that happens, but loving this game, you sold me on it!
there is a secret boss, el fuego almost impossible to beat

Probably shouldn’t use vixen, considering the ability is bad and you’ve invested in more meta power up on the starting character.

I think you could make the punchy build work better with some better health regen genetic upgrades.
2 Episode a day 🎉🎉🎉
Need to explore the map, one upgrade to ammo rack is zero reload load

EXP gain upgrades are a bit tragic in this game ngl
I don't know if it's possible to get 35 armor on a gun in one run, but having one with alot of armor with the drone's armor share helps alot.
Given all the upgrade options in your home base... maybe they should make one that let's you Pre-Banish certain mods for your next run?
Would be nice, but the airdrop scheduler exists. So having your banish pods drop immediately helps *a lot*
What a great idea for a gun build, unfortunately you seemed to keep falling prey to BigBee's Crushing Hand (Mandible?)
you got the door in the big bug zone off screen?
Yeah. The run was boring.
@@wanderbots fair, thanks for cutting it then, looking forward to a full upgrade load out👍
How do you get rerolls and banishes? My game doesn’t have it

Why are you taking containment field with a pistol? CF is really only best when used with a fast firing, high ammo, weapon.
hi wander, i find hidden area up in first spawn.
I wish you could choose the airdrops abilities yourself and not random each time
In the pod bay the middle machine is an airdrop scheduler, it's a pricey 15K credits to unlock but it is VERY useful
Ya the exp gain not worth it just go dps yoh spend so many levels for only 2 plus levels
Thas not El Fuego xD
Nvm I know now
The GENE Upgrades do NOTHING
Unless you EDIT them into your Character
They are edited though? Chill dude.
@
I’ve seen you upgrading your GENES a few times but you never go across and add them to your Character, at least not in the video.
