🔴 UPDATE 🔴 A UA-cam bot denied my appeal. Apparently, they were offended that I spoke poorly of a child murderer. I will only be able to comment on UA-cam for the next seven days. No uploads or posts of any kind. I apologize to all of you who I have let down during this process. I actually take pride in my channel and I am very upset that this happened.
    ----------
📌 NOTICE 📌 I shared this video on UA-cam last night with the comment “This is what a piece of -- looks like”, but instead of the blanks I put the first letter of the word. Since then, UA-cam has given me a strike and put me in jail for seven days where I cannot upload a video or anything. All I can do is make comments. So that my channel does not wither away during that seven days, please like and share my videos so that I still get activity! I have appealed the decision, but I have little confidence in the process. 🙏🏻🇺🇸
For now, follow me over on Twitter/X @Paul_of_LAA

As a teacher, I can tell you, making the school look like a prison would DEFINITELY be detrimental to the students' mentality. I say we permit select teachers to carry (such as veterans like myself) and we re-introduce firearm safety as a component of Phys. Ed. Teach the kids about the weapons so they are NOT stricken with fear but have a HEALTHY respect for firearms whenever they encounter them.

I agree with everything else you said, but you can greatly increase physical security (other than the things you specifically mention) without making it "look like a prison". When I was growing up, you were told - should something be scary/upsetting/etc…(exception being you were physically accosted in someway resulting in physical harm, or small children) - you were expected to deal with the situation. Dealing with scary things, you needed to learn how to think and act as an adult. Your parents would talk to you and explain what happened and how to handle it if you were an older child or early teen. If you were 16 and up, it was expected that you should already know!
We have been cuddling the youth far too much, hence why they’ve been referred to as ‘snowflakes’! These generations below Xennials will be the ones who will completely upend our freedoms for the sake of security!

I showed this in a training class I attended for my licensing that I could verbally steer a narrative using commands that addressed actions that weren't actually happening. But because witnesses remembered what I said better than what they saw, I could literally gotten away with murder. My instructor looked at me and called me an evil genius, I however have no desire to do such things. My goal was simply to prove a point in the hopes of raising more awareness so something like that would never happen.

You can build them into the walls or build something to disguise them a little more. Better and more secure doors aren’t going to look like anything other than a normal door. It’s not about saving lives. It’s not about protecting schools, children and teachers. It’s really not about making schools look like a military installation. They don’t care. That’s called excuses. They care about one thing and one thing only and that’s disarming the people.

Teach the kids gun safety corset that’ll never happen in Burlington. It’s left over the edge of the cliff along time ago.

It could have been worse. A bunch of role players could costume themselves as zombies and stage mock attacks on other actors, complete with bloody simulated feeding frenzies.

If the school did that to my kids without my knowledge, the furry of a pissed off dad would have made them regret the day they were born. Stay in your lane teachers and out of your parents' lane. Got one teacher fired for humiliating my son in front of the whole class. He grew up to be a dam fine young man who does protect the weak and innocent, i thought him to respect weapons and how to use them and you never point a gun at anything that you do not intend to destroy. He is currently following in his great grandfathers, grandfather, and my footsteps serving in the military

In our school system in Alabama, the kids are taught what to do and they have drills to practice and we have a armed officer in every school and if a drill is planned , the students and parents are notified.

    I'm from vermont.
    A. When you call that same police station after 1am you get an answering machine. The BPD had been defunded.
    B. my entire life vermont has been peacefull but 2020 onward all of a sudden we have been flooded with migrants and also have had murders, car jackings etc etc...
I want to say my entire life I've lived in burlington and haven't seen 1 single murder or shooting....
C: that yellow bus that you saw outside the BPD is called beansies bus and it sells amazing burgers.
D: look up how many school shootings have happened In the state of Vermont... almost zero... we also have constitutional carry since 1780... longer than almost any state.. we, as liberal as we are politically, have been very pro second amendment for a long time.

I think the school deliberately didn't inform the parents for obvious reasons.
The PD also too stupid to believe the school since if they should hold a meeting themselves with parents before did this exercise, OR that was also the end goal and they were in it together with the school.

One of my college profs did this type of experiment in a college psych class.....except she didn't use a firearm or fake rounds going off and no one in the class was scared......one bit.
She had a TA knock on the door, pop half-way into the classroom, ask her a couple of questions and then he left. A few minutes later, she asked us to right down the answers to several questions: male or female, height, hair color, shirt and pants color, backpack, etc. To show all of the students, that the reliability of eyewitness testimony was flawed, but just because people remembered things differently, that didn't meant that the situation did not happen.
I wonder why the cops and school admin couldn't come up with some type of scenario that didn't involve the use of a firearm, fake or not, robbery and dummy rounds going off? It isn't rocket science and there definitely seems like there is some kind of agenda and more than enough stupidity to go around, in this situation.

Isn't Vermont a Bernie Sanders state? Also if you're doing something of this nature you can easily scale it way down to someone walking into the classroom that might look like is there a whole string a weapon maybe wearing something in particular, asking the teacher in front of the class in a semi private way but also so the kids can hear, and then turning around and walking out. You could probably elicit the same reaction from the kids. It's just somebody that they don't know walking into a room and a space that they do know and then being able to recall what they see. You don't need a whole Call of Duty reenactment.

We want to train children what to do in case the school catches on fire, but we do not want to tramatize the little darlings, so we won't be setting off the fire alarm or asking the children to leave the safety of their classrooms. We will strictly be calmly and passively discussing with the children how they may, if they so choose, react in the case of a fire. Any parents who feel that this might be still be too tramitizing for their child may request they be allowed to spend the time in a safe space and listen to soothing music instead.

It's pretty profoundly stupid to do it this way. They could have accomplished the exact same goal by showing a short film and then taking statements after to show that some people miss certain details. Even without the stress of an actual event people can imagine it would be worse.
