I watched this game live at TI. Me and my crew were outside the Key Arena in Seattle where they had the Jumbotron setup in that big grass lawn. The amount of hype from everyone outside when this happened was something I will never ever forget. Just a massive crowd of people jumping up and down screaming their heads off. Probably my greatest dota memory ever.
I was inside the stadium with my dad. I was a pretty young Dota fan around 13 years old. And damn was it beautiful. I was screaming my lungs out cheering.
I’ve been to NBA finals games, NHL finals, NFL finals, NCAA championship games and I’ve never been with an arena as alive as when I went to TI6. The energy was insane we had to go walk around SoFi in between games because it was so crazy. Plus the wrist lights were so cool and new back then
That game solidified Cap and Blitz as my fav casting duo. Fantastic stuff. Need more content like this.

Casting was great, and the crowd was really hyped for this game.
They're right that it wasn't super polished from either side (I think especially old_chicken on Jugg looked awkward, they didn't mention somehow), but it doesn't matter, polished games can be very boring (TI4?). It's an amazing game because it was close for a long time, it was a megacreep comeback (which was hard and very rare back then), and because EG used some cool tactics to get the crucial kills (triple damage amp + triple dagon), some crucial calls, chronos and arrows.
In 2v4 situation, Sumail & Zai kill IceIceIce from full to zero, they might've been throned without that one.
11:45 believe it was the first mega creeps comeback at an International, prior to that there were a few mega creep comebacks in regular pro matches however (33 to be exact, 2 by EG vs Sneaky Nyx Assassins and vs Fnatic)

One of my fondest Zai memories was back on Secret in 2015. I had just gotten into watching the Pro dota scene at the time but it was VS old Complexity and Zai popped off on broodmother. He was taking over the whole map. Zai was an absolute menace that game and just did whatever the heck he wanted. It was small but watching that game was so hype for me and my little brother back then.
Please do more of these, that was awesome.

Awesome! This is my favorite game of all time. I had just started playing a few months before TI6, and I had to pick a team. I became an EG fanboy and the rest is history.
I also ended up attending TI8 where I met Cap and Blitz, and I talked to Cap about this series specifically. So lots if memories surrounding this match in particular.
One thing that makes this game great is it made me obsess to watch it over and over again to find a reason why they can come back such a one-sided game
And thinking how amazing EG strats with all the magic amplification

I would actually love a retrospective about all the different dota patches/metas over the years. The game changed in so many ways it blows my mind. I haven't even played since they added talents.

Was in the crowd for this match was the second loudest crowd I’ve been in when the comeback was hitting. The loudest crowd was game 4 OG LGD with the open ancient and topson defense.

I've been to 5 TI's and this is my favourite game, despite the gameplay looking back not being 100% it was by far the most hype game I've ever watched.
I just watched this video like two days ago and then Liquid vs TA happened. Damn it Zai you did it again! I really wanna see Liquid win TI now.
My fav game of all time. i remember losing my mind when Sumail hit that arrow on jug as he came out of omni. it didnt result in a kill but the hype was fucking unreal

I was in the crowd for this game, and I absolutely destroyed my voice from the cheering and screaming. One of my all time favorites, and being there just made it even better.

I think Fear actually talked about this Axe pick on his stream. (or it was against Moo's Timber, same TI in any case).
He said that at the time he had been really comfortable playing Axe safelane against Timber. He knew how to win the lane as Axe vs Timber and go from there.
However, they put the Timber safelane so he had to lane Axe from the offlane and got his ass kicked :)

Maybe the gold standard for TI games in terms of pure quality; it was only upper bracket semis Game 1, so nowhere near the finish line in terms of stakes, but what a ending. Glad the recent 7.32 patch has slowed the game down somewhat; you don't need everyone with 2x as much farm as in this game for it to be exciting. The game was fine back then too.
This is my fav game of all time Ti7 grand finals come in second after this
remember watching this game, i tell my friend EG draft was so good and ehome draft is so bad especially jugg and timbersaw, it felt so weird when EG start losing the lane, and when Ehome push highground, i convince myself Ehome cannot highground with those hero, again ehome did it,. This make me realise dota has change so much and improved.
Came for the Liquid content. Stayed because I learned a lot.

What is blitz doing nowadays? havent been following the pro scene lately but i remember when i started playing dota 2 and tried to get better at it i found this jewel of a dota channel of blitz, where he taught me so much about the game and i always really liked his way of thinking and talking, actually i could listen to this guy all day.
i remember at some point he lost a lot of weight and then i lost track of him
