In this video Heimler reviews everything you need to know about AP World History Unit 3 Topic 1 (3.1) of AP World History which is all about the expansion of land-based empires (otherwise known as Gunpowder Empires) in the period 1450-1750. We'll meet the Ottoman Empire, the Safavid Empire, the Mughal Empire, and the Qing Dynasty (Manchu Empire), all of which came out on top during this period because they adopted gunpowder weapons (among other reasons).
