I went the jumbo dog cage route on a flat platform and a high quality soft cover. Perches and stuff. 2 birds seemed cramped and restless. In retrospect I think birds favor plywood house over wire. Wire is like a hotel room. Your setup is clean. Im into mine about the same $ as yours.
Use what u have Or build what u can aslong as your in the game its all good. Ima technician by trade so of course I hate anything auto lol. But when it comes to wood and building im there.
Can this work for winter months with the drafts on the roof loft? We're in Canada...snow and cold winters.. doing best research we can, want to start with just two..your video was very helpful thank you!
Absolutely. Pigeons have everything they need to last the winter. You can actually cause more damage by adding a heat source or closing up the loft too much and not allowing for proper ventilation.
+Wichita the problem with making it longer is u can't reach the birds that run in the corners. You have to get into the loft and lay over all the shit to grab pigeons. I literally measured his reach and made it to fit him. That way he never has to get into the loft. Cleaning is a breeze and overall maintenance is easy. I'd rather build another small loft or a large walk in if I needed more space.
I did not think about that and that is exactly what would happen. Its a really nice loft and i am thinking about building one like that for me now lol Thanks Man
+Scummpy's Loft my friend decided to start his own UA-cam page so for an update check him out. U can find his page in my like videos. Zack Zambeck is his user name.
It is a nice loft for a beginner but I would arrange the landing board and traps on the same side that the outside cage is situated as the birds will be acclimated to the view and direction of the loft from that side. Also the cage appears to be facing away from the house where you can't observe the birds without going to that side of the loft. A metal roof on a really hot day could end up a problem. Just my thoughts .
+Richard Umstead good points. The settling cage works perfectly and was able to settle all his birds. The roof is painted a very lite color and is no hotter then a single or tar roof and yea the aviary is set in back of the coop but it's for the birds to get some fresh air and sun.
+Richard Umstead there is an update video in my liked video section where he goes through the good and bad of the coop design. Check it out if u get a min
I would do that too considering the height from the floor. The problem is that it's hard to clean down there because it's not concrete and can get messy. Especially with that being close to other houses, neighbors will complain if you don't clean. I'll only do it if I build on concrete though.
I quite like this little loft , I’d like to build something very close to this designe , nice work . 👍
Great job. It's great to see a coop with good wire!
Nice little start up loft.Very well constructed.Good luck
Thanx Ed. He will be racing out of that little coop this year so we will see how it holds up.
This is actually a good small loft. It has everything. Well thought through..
Awesome work guys

This is amazing! thank you so much Adrian!!
No problem brother. Hope it helps u out
Great coop man I want to build me one like that if you have the plans for it would be amazing thank you
Great small loft. Very tidy. 👍
How would u sell a loft like this cs I just started my pigeon coup
How do you trap train with the aviary in the back?
Yea it’s a pain till they get it lol.
the aviary is a nice touch on it👌
What's the size of the coupe
What is the size of the aviary??
32 inch deep, 32 in high and runs the length of the coop 16 feet
Can i know what is the exact pieces and sizes of the wood you bought??sorry for so many questions....im gonna build that exact same loft
I am in wheelchair and the loft the way it is build would be wonderful. If it was bit longer it would make a great all in one loft

Hey man that's a great starter. Enjoy the sport and best of luck to you!
What is the size of the loft?i want something like this to start...
That was 4 by 7.
Looks great!
How do you reach in and grab the birds??
Main door. He did have to put a screen at the very top of the door so birds wouldn’t fly over his back
@@AdrianP_loft how’s it working out so far?
@@mandydorpinghaus252 works perfectly, I would not recommend starting with breeders. Start with a small group of young birds
I have a small loft like that for my breeders. Its amazing how much it cost to build a basic box like that
How many birds will it hold?
8 birds comfortably. You can probably fit in a few more but once they start breeding it will be overfilled
Good job man!!
Nice loft .Well done.
WoW Nice Loft
Greeting from indonesia, what the nice loft, no need to spend a lot of money to enjoy the sport.
O[i
Do you have this securely mounted to the ground or will a strong wind blow it over?
Its pretty heavy and we don't get to heavy of a wind in Michigan so i didnt feel the need to strap it down, couldnt hurt tho
Adrian P I’m just envisioning The Wizard of Oz
Too funny MIke lol
Super nice set up
Simple and nice.
Hi , what are the dimensions of the coop ?
3.5 by 7 ft long. 3 feet in the back and 4 feet in the front.
It's not very simple its it's very great
Way to go. No one buys a racetrack to race horses.... Why do we need mega lofts to start racing pigeons. I like it a lot.. Cheers...
Where's the ventilation sir? Just asking my brother.
Aviary opening allows for air to enter and roof vents allow for exit. The loft is 21 square feet 😂 not much is needed to get good air flow.
@@AdrianP_loft copy that 👍
Very nice starter loft! Not bad for the $.
The budget was the biggest factor to what we could build. He is already taking about a bigger loft.
that's a nice little Loft
+Freddy Cuadrado thanx brother. It's a lot nicer in person and it has everything you need to breed and fly a hand full of birds.
its awesome dude but i hope the inside flooring is also a screen so pigeons poops would drop on the grass soil ^_^
How many can go in there
4 pair max. 8 birds total
Nice hunt
enjoy them keep them flying have fun
How much, where can you buy. Do you have any more
Lol. Unfortunately it’s something your going to have to build.
@@AdrianP_loft Ok,well do you have the dimensions you used.
So cool . if you want to give us the longer of this loft pls
You should make an update video of your friends Loft
+Scummpy's Loft my friend decided to start his own UA-cam page so for an update check him out. U can find his page in my like videos. Zack Zambeck is his user name.
Looks great..
U got any for sale
I don’t sell birds sry.
Why u build cage on the road
The cage was moved to a new location.
Not bad not bad.
It’s very entry level but he did manage to win a race out of that small loft.
How to make door traping

if i were to make this loft. i would make the inside flooring a screen ^_^

+Pigeon Master thanx brother. Another one for our sport.
Muy bonito pekeño pero vien echo endonde estan ustedes yo en wa. Sliero
You are embarking on a most addictive expensive hobby! Have you considered heroin or cocaine? Lol. Only joking
Your loft will only grow over time.
