Agreed this was an amazing game to watch. Glad I was there to see it. The other game (recent) that I love was the night game in Lincoln during to Pelini era. We didn’t have much offense but our defense played lights out and we won a low scoring game. The crowed was crazy loud. Not as loud as when we played ND in 2001 but definitely as loud as when we played Miami here in another night game. GBR!
I can still remember getting up that morning to watch college football. ABC was so great back then. I was in the 8th grade, I still remember how the weather was outside and can still picture what my living room felt and looked like that morning. I'm a Texas fan, but was very interested in this game because we needed an OU loss to get back into title contention. Man I miss those days. Number 1 and number 2, both from the Big 12, slugging it out like the two great teams they were. God bless all you others who remember these days. Go Big Red, Boomer Sooner, Hook 'em! 🤘
@@ryanlunn2869 Revisionist history is the best history. Actually it was Mizzou and Nebby throwing their panties @ the B1G that caused the demise. Last time I checked, Texas was still in the conference. It's a real shame that ego, envy, and greed regularly obscure reason.
@@BigDawg31675 it aged perfectly well. Everyone knows Nebraska pettiness, ego and greed very well. Everyone also knows well that Mizzou and Nebbie caused the demise of the Big 12 ten years ago. So, take your comments back to your abyss of B1G irrelevancy, and honestly think about the choices that were made. There is no going back for Nebraska.
Lol a Texas fan talking about greed. It was definitely Texas being greedy that forced other schools in the big 12 to look elsewhere. Worse thing the big 8 ever did was let Texas in. Now it’s Texas again that will most likely spell the end of the big 12.
I recall OU being sore about flashback 41 when they tried it earlier and it didn't work. Like you guys had to beat us with a trick play yet you (ou tried it 🤣.
Nebraska Cornhusker’s fortunes would change dramatically with the firing of Coach Solich a man who devoted his soul to Nebraska . Not even given a chance to change and improve his staff . Callahan changed the culture ,tradition and football philosophy west coast offense . AD Pecker Head Pederson thought by hiring Callahan a losing Super Bowl coach was great idea . Never consulted I’m sure with Coach Osborne go figure. He just became part of Nebraska lore .Setting Nebraska football back years .Bo Pelini linebacker coach should’ve been the hire.
This is the game Eric Crouch won the hiesman trophy with that reverse pass catch for a touchdown should’ve loss it later on to Kenny Dorsey after that game against Colorado.

Hearing the radio guys do that call, I'm 46 years old and I still get goosebumps.
this is my favorite game of all time. cant believe more people aren't watching

I remember watching this on a chilly Saturday. My mom knows almost nothing about football, but during black flash 41 she was on her feet cheering
Crazy that Texas and Colorado would be playing for the Big 12 Championship that year.
helped Nebraska play miami...
@@erics2739 a game i wished we had never played. that loss set this program back many years.
The Big 12 was some conference back then. Great players , coaching staffs and rivalries.
A Texas fan just watched this game from 2001, and is missing Big 12 Saturdays.
You can thank your school for ruining the conference

1:10 I know this season was in transition at this time, but dang look wacky the BCS was regarding some of the teams posted.
Is this an Instant classic? 😅

Stoops did comment after the game that Nebraska’s trick play worked and there’s didn’t which was the difference in the game.

Final play worth seeing of Solich Nebraska coaching career
Holy Shite. You just have to look at Taint to tell he's a retard.
A travesty how such a decent man who devoted his life and soul to Nebraska could be treated in that manner.

Black 41 Flash Reverse Pass
You are so good
Nebraska was supposed to make it to Dallas that year. Eric crouch won Heisman though & made it to the national championship game.
The high water mark for NEB

Dorsey didn't deserve it, he didn't have great numbers against great competition
Congratulations to Frank Solich and making it to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2024
