I'd be creating samples using an actual shortwave radio with that thing! My old Sangaen ATS-909 was a great sound source for my own sonic experiments. I used a long wire up a tree in my yard for good reception. You can't beat utility stations for gritty, unpredictable sound.
Amazing as ever it kind of reminds me of these things called Buddha machine accept you can change the channels and have way more fun and number stations
The best demo of the Radio Music in any format and (it does look particularly brilliant in 5U). Also hearing the Archer's Theme at 4:29 was hilariously unexpected and strangely poignant for me.
Rhythmicons ahhh, haha, I see! ;-) Not sure what the source of the sample was (it came pre-loaded on the card with my demo unit) but it does indeed sound familiar to me.
There's a Numbers Station on the dial from The Conet Project... John, you really are THE BEST!!!!!!
Thank you as always for your kind support! :-)
Now I remember! 😄 Great demo, John. It can definitely lend itself to adding a surreal feeling to things aka Pink Floyd.
haha, I sometimes even forget that I've done a demo of something myself! 😂
Demo...Schmemmo. This is way beyond a demonstration of what can be done. You took me to the realms of the "otherworld"!!
Thanks David! :-)
Beautiful module and nice demo 👍
Thank you! :-)

Yeah, I wish I still had the old Heathkit short wave receiver I built in junior high! ;-)

Thanks! :-) I've almost bought a Buddha machine in the past but never did. I really DO want ALL of the things! ;-)
Spock: “Fascinating.”
Thanks 😁🤓
John L Rice now that you’ve had this a while, have you used it much and if so, might you revisit it in a new session? Pretty neat module!
@@Sarahbuildsstepsequencers I've used it in a few live performances etc. :-)
The drugs finally took effect in the last 3 minutes of the video.
;-)

Thanks very much! :-)
What was that at 3:48 because for a second I thought the roof was about to fly the funk off.
hhmm, I'm not sure . . . is 3:48 the right time for what you are hearing?
yeah until 410..the slow drum break with the congas. and 5:32 - 6:50
Rhythmicons Ahh, I see, you must have a good sub woofer and were playing it loud? ;-)
The sample was funky as hell and I referenced P-Funk (Tear the roof of the sucker). I was wondering what that sample was.
