That would be a PERFECT game, literally speaking, of course. Perfect games are amazing and truly a great achievement, but if they were truly perfect, then they would be 9 straight immaculate innings. By definition, they're not "perfect" but I do understand what that mean by a perfect game however. Although I think that a perfect game in that sense is literally impossible and will never happen Haha
@@PhilSimard98 It's not "literally impossible". It's VIRTUALLY impossible. Literally impossible would be throwing a perfect game when the other team scores a run. Another virtually impossible scenario is someone forcing 27 straight first-pitch ground outs/ line outs/ pop outs/ fly outs. In theory it's possible, it's just extremely unlikely that it could ever happen.
Homer Bailey no-hitting San Francisco was an MLB Network Showcase game Max Scherzer throwing two no-hitters in 2015 is a very rare occurrance; Johnny Vander Meer did it in consecutive starts back in 1938

I'd like to make a correction on your video description. You said that you only missed the Zambrano no nitter in 2008 in your collection. That is incorrect. You also missed the Henderson Alvarez no hitter on the last day of the season in 2013; the one that ended on a walk-off wild pitch in the bottom of the 9th.
Jordan yeah there really has been. There's been plenty more close calls, though. One that stuck in my head this season was Kyle Hendricks near nono against St Lou.
To Tony Cepeda-In my opini on that wasn't a no hitter. T- he batter for the Cardinals li ner hit the foul line, so in es sence that was a hit. Too b ad they didn't include the no hitters by Carlos Zambrano & the second one by Jake A rrieto over Cincinnati.
Yea normally you don't stick around to thank the pitcher if your team just got a no-no or perfect game thrown against you. Unless you mean the Dodgers did a walk off homer, which is also nice but a no-no beats that. Remember the other team is not happy about the no-hitter, that means your team just got owned, bad. Waitress: do you want some cheese on your pasta?
Me: 1:26
And don't forget Armando Galaraga's "28 out" perfect game.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH,
Matt Joyce !!!😠😠😠

Johan gives me chills still to this day
ah yes the false no hitter...when a blown call helps GIVE a pitcher a no hitter
not a white Sox fan but damn I do enjoy listening to Ken the Hawk Harrelson call that perfect game for Berhule made that moment epic
Imagine having a no hitter and your teammate missing a routine pop up
Wow it seems like some people in this comment section don't know the rules of having a no hitter
There's a lot that have no clue
Yeah. If u walk someone, then the next batter reaches base on an error. It's still a no-hitter. They can both score and u can lose. Its happened to me twice
@@russmartin9549 There's even been a game in the bigs where a pitcher threw a no-hitter and still lost. 1-0 loss on an unearned run.
7:15 BRUTAL motion for a LAST pitch and in a no-hitter!!!
I was there for Dallas Braden on Mother’s Day 🤰
メジャーリーガーでも、パーフェクトがかかった最後の守備は大事に大事ってプレーしてるのが動画で伝わってきて、人間味がある。それにしても凄い!Even in major leaguers, the video shows that the last defense that was perfect was played with great care, and it has a human touch. But anyway, it's amazing!
Could you imagine 9 straight immaculate innings?
That would be a PERFECT game, literally speaking, of course. Perfect games are amazing and truly a great achievement, but if they were truly perfect, then they would be 9 straight immaculate innings. By definition, they're not "perfect" but I do understand what that mean by a perfect game however. Although I think that a perfect game in that sense is literally impossible and will never happen Haha
Philippe Simard It is not LITERALLY impossible but you’re right it won’t happen ever
I noticed a lot of these games were 1-0 that’s pretty cool
Oh yeah, mark Burlhe pitched a no-no
Tim Wenger and a perfect game
Homer Bailey no-hitting San Francisco was an MLB Network Showcase game
Max Scherzer throwing two no-hitters in 2015 is a very rare occurrance; Johnny Vander Meer did it in consecutive starts back in 1938
I realize they play a big role in getting it done, but still my favorite part is how happy and excited the rest of the team gets for the pitcher.. it's like world series level celebration for everyone.. very awesome.. 👍👌✌
👍 This Great stuff ! I'm getting goosebumps 👏
⚾⚾ I love this game ⚾⚾
Being a Reds fan that last one was embarrassing
The birds 😂 0:40
4:38 I was there
on a side note
Timmy Kurkjian on the eve of J. Verlander's first no-no; "This is *not* the only no-hitter this guy will throw. I promise you."
Nope, Henderson Alvarez is in the video
Andre S. @5:53
2012 was an amazing pitching year. 3 perfect games and a handful of no-hitters?! Awesome
And at the same time, Miggy won the Triple Crown. lol
8:50 back when the Mets were called a playoff team
Man, Buster Posey has caught a lot of no hitters. Probably not a coincidence
weird how Jake is the only one in 2016 when previous years have had 5+
Not really, since there were years where there wasn't even a single no-no
No shit but there's been a fuckload this decade
Jordan yeah there really has been. There's been plenty more close calls, though. One that stuck in my head this season was Kyle Hendricks near nono against St Lou.
Thank the SABR people and over cautious pitching coaches.
2017 had only one no-no (Volquez) as well. Then you had three in 2018 (one combined) and four in 2019 (one combined).
That Zimmerman no hitter is a dream. That left fielder deserves something after that play.
Anyone else think that he might have been safe on the clip at :12 ? It was definitely close at least the shortstop played that so leisurely
I agree. Watching that it looks like he may have been safe and the announcer said "he did it!" before the ball even got there. Weird stuff
At other cam angles, he was OUT. The angle shown here looks like a tie.
Jeremy M he was out if you look in slow motion but very close
Dave Sims has the golden voice
the white Sox should have the yes network not the Yankees
Noah Campbell so true
The Y in YES network literally stands for Yankees
Graysyk Oh I do, but it doesnt translate well over the internet. Also, thats not exactly a sarcastic statement. either way my point is still the same.
That is what makes them great!!....the thing with perfect games and no-hitters is that even a yankee can't buy one out which makes them more rare!!!
Who cares lmao
0:15 we aren’t gonna talk about how close that was..
My favorite was Santana's no hitter with the Mets!
Antonio Cepeda that's obvious man lgm tho
Antonio Cepeda I'm a twins fan and I loved Johan Santana so I'm glad he at least got a no hitter on the mets
To Tony Cepeda-In my opini on that wasn't a no hitter. T- he batter for the Cardinals li ner hit the foul line, so in es sence that was a hit. Too b ad they didn't include the no
hitters by Carlos Zambrano & the second one by Jake A rrieto over Cincinnati.
Who’s here after Domingo German threw a perfect game?
Buehrle 👌
Love the crowd noise for Buerhle's. Goes quiet then explodes
The Angels no-hit the Dodgers but the Dodgers walked-off.
It would be like waking up after being KO'd and thanking the guy that punched you
Sharris858 Back in 2008 the Angels threw a no hitter against the Dodgers, but lost the game.
4:07 random James Hetfield sighting
Humber's was so random.
and only happened because the dropped ball was on the last pitch. and they made a bad swing call.
So what. Humber got the p- erfecto anyway. He was as li kely to pitch a perfect game as Don Larsen was. Sal Mag lie, yes. Larsen, no.
such a joyful video thanks
Philip Humber shouldn't of got a perfect game, he obviously didn't swing...
JuJu_On_ That_Bike actually he did, there’s a video from a fan, just look up humber perfect game, click on the fans view video, slow down the video and watch the swing
Totally swung and could have easily made it to first had he ran instead of yelling at the ump
Does the batter not have to touch first for the run to count at @5:50? It's a force out yea?
3:26 How the fuck is there a run on the board for Cleveland, if that was a no hitter?
Errors and walks
plus stolen bases and sac flys/ squeezes/ sac bunts
also drop third strikes
+KuljuSportsGamingHD hit by pitches
teams have actually lost no hitters
There has only been about 25 perfect games in the entire history of baseball ?
And I've only been to 8 major league games. All in Seattle.
In 2012 I saw 2 perfect games in the same stadium. Holy crap !
giants 4 times vs Dodgers 2 times haha
Dodgers 26 in their history. Giants 16.
@@raulsaucedo2233 im 37 and celebrated 3 WS as an adult with parades beer etc, Dodgers keep choking in the Playoff and have to look at old footage of the 1988 WS to remember any celebrations. As i see it its about what u have experienced as a fan
Jess E that’s fine lol. But let’s not act like your teams history started this century.
@@raulsaucedo2233 lol, ur alright Raul
@@jesse7747 a lot easier to "choke" when the team you're playing against is stealing signs
I saw Arrieta (1st), Alvarez, and Hamels no hitter live on tv
