Between 1967 and 1970, the ground-breaking jazz/R&B/pop group Brian Auger, Julie Driscoll & The Trinity experienced an unprecedented run of creative & commercial success - their 4 classic studio albums, Open, Definitely What!, Streetnoise and Befour, were a thrilling fusion of Mod R&B, jazz and psychedelic soul which engaged both underground and mainstream fans, and saw them headline international jazz festivals whilst simultaneously scoring pop chart hits in the UK, US and Europe, something wholly unprecedented for the time.
Vocalist Driscoll came to embody everything about the 1960s fashionable It Girl; her voice, clothes and edgy hair styles secured nearly as many column inches & magazine covers as the band’s genre bending music. Asked why the box set is named Far Horizons, Auger states "I look back on The Trinity as a period of discovery, I didn’t know where it would take me but we were breaking down barriers and going someplace new."
This box set includes all the classic albums by the ground-breaking jazz/soul/rock group 'Brian Auger, Julie Driscoll & Trinity' - across 5 vinyl LPs which have been fully remastered and approved by Brian Auger. Also included is a 12 page LP sized booklet consisting of an interview with Brian by written by Mojo magazine's Lois Wilson and also includes previously unseen photos from Brian’s personal archive.
