    I have been to this place a few times now. Never disappointed with the quality of the food and Nas always has time to greet and talk to all his customers even if the restaurant is completely full which it is most of the time. That personal touch makes a huge difference. May Allah bless him with greater rewards and hopefully we will be visiting again quite soon for my wife’s birthday

    Big up Bangladesh and Pakistan, they have the best food in the world from my opinion . I've got many friends from Bangladesh and Pakistan in London and have been lucky enough to try both of their authentic home cooking which is just something else, if you know, you know!

    The brothers right, there’s a reason why Chapli kebab, Chicken and Lamb Karahis, Dum pukht, Bannu palao, and Shinwari food which all originate in Peshawar Pakistan are served in Afghanistan and Afghan restaurants. Usually because the people running the Afghan restaurants are actually Pakistani Pashtun trying to market their food for familiarity. But also because those Pakistani dishes aswell as Lahori(punjabi) dishes are served in Afghanistan too.

    I’ve went a few months back….note; Book in advance! It gets busy especially on weekends.
    The food is lovely with a good price.
    However there is a lot of noise. Not the best place for a date but nice for families with kids.
    The owner is exactly like he is in the video, lovely warm and friendly brother.

    It is lovely to see authentic places that have not compromised to try to be trendy. I have noticed the "Gordon-Ramsay-fication" of Bangladeshi, Indian, and Pakistani food in some places (Ramsay has done some very unfair reviews mocking restaurants for cuisines he knows next to nothing about while his own restaurants serve overpriced bland food e.g. he mocks the large naan breads and criticizes the oils that should be on top of a good curry)

    • @MD-wv7ee
      @MD-wv7ee 22 дні тому

      Some of the things that he criticises are traditional/cultural recipies and styles which will never be compromised just to keep a foul mouth, disgusting, attention-seeking individual like Ramsay happy

    Wow! He started up Taste of Khyber in Brum? Great place, some of the best chaplis I’ve tasted and the charsi karahi is spot on. Good to see the appeal widening. Everyone I have introduced to this Pakistan/Afghan cuisine absolutely loves it, for its simple authenticity and that moreish flavour of the karahi & Peshawar naan combo! just leaves you with cravings 😂 must go ASAP…

    Latif We where so lucky in the late 70s through the 90s An area of Sheffield called attercliffe we had “Zenat” restaurant This was the food we ate We had a very big South Asian population around this part of Sheffield and Rotherham
    Our favourite was Lamb Karhi Lamb chop Karhi Chicken Karhi They where served with fresh roti The Karhi was for two people Only we greedy English folk had one each Jug of Mango Lusi each Coffee and Barfi to finish off The old places have been replaced by the new generations now 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ 27:13
    This place makes me pine for the old days of proper British/Pakistani restaurants They even had an Afghani Chef for a time
    I keep saying I’ll travel to your place in Alsager to try your food
    This looks amazing

    I agree, having been to Pakistan this Summer, the restaurant curries didnt live up to the uk.
    Absolutely love Pakistan, nothing better than home cooked desi food but was disappointed in the authentic curries at restaurants, they've lost the uniqueness.

      When you get to taste the wonders of Bradford, you'll enjoy the quality that is closer to the origins of the food and please don't miss the chance to go to the Kashmir Crown Bakery factory in Bradford BD8 in Worthington Street. As it'll be a new exploration for your good self, it'll be great to see you & T. F. T. make a feature length episode together for a pre-Ramadan or Eid special with a tour to the golden oldie and traditional places. It'll be great to see you together comparing experience and styles. He's recently lost his father ( May Allah award him Jannaht Al Firduas) and to see you both do something different, would be a great pre or post Eid special. A guided tour of Bradford with its post war history of food would be something unique. A northerner and a southerner would prove to be a great team.

    • @LatifsInspired

      I’ll try to. As my father had diabetes

    • @MikeJordanGroupie
      @MikeJordanGroupie 22 дні тому +1

      Peace brother, I’m no doctor, but there’s no specific cuisine for diabetes. Also, how you address the condition is dependent on what the cause is-is it pancreatic dysfunction? Or, early stage? Electrolyte Balance is key (the lab work should show this). Drink the best water you can get, which should have higher than a neutral pH that is natural, not by Baking Soda or Calcium Chloride. Get a High Quality Ionic Sea Mineral Solution and add this to your water, drinking daily. Eliminate refined sugar, table salt, white flour and highly acidic foods from your diet. This is important: Never eat and drink at the same time; wait until an hour before drinking after you eat. Chew (masticate) your food completely before swallowing & don’t overeat. Don’t eat late. Drink fresh juices (Not BEETS or CARROTS!)-you can look online for some recipes, but don’t mix the fruit with the vegetables. I suggest a gentle blood cleansing herb called Red Clover-it’s not expensive and has a floral taste that you can drink as much as you want. Deep Breathing (properly) and exercise in addition to the above will change your life. Don’t stress and make a plan/goals that suit your lifestyle. There’s a lot of DON’Ts, but most MDs will just give you basics and tell you to take metformin, which is poison (as other pharmaceuticals). I hope this somewhat helps. *This is not intended in any way or form to be medical advice & I do not claim to be a practitioner of any sort.

    My question is about beef. My family, in uk, discovered our first ‘Indian’ restaurant back in the late 1960s. They, like most others in the uk, were actually owned and run by folk from Pakistan. I still dream of the quality of their food even to this day. They survived exactly 50 years and I could cry about their closure.
    Over the years they bent to consumers by removing those wonderful solid spices from rice and sauces rather than tell customers to appreciate them. I was disappointed.
    We grew up with that owner and his family as friends and customers.
    What we did notice about their menu, compared to modern restaurants, is that they’d offer beef as a meat option.
    I looked beef up. Yes I understand that beef is seen as sacred in Hindu India but it’s not haram in Islam. So why have questions I’ve asked to local restaurants been answered in irritation? Nowadays beef, especially slow cooked options, is cheaper and less fatty than lamb.

    I have eaten there twice and the food was good overall.
    However, how can you say the ' amazing lamb karahi before tasting it ' ?
    I can no longer trust food reviews in full especially when you get a freebie meal - if the food was not good.. would you say so when it's free?

    Was thinking of going until I read the owners replies on trip advisor, sorry when you use "wallahi" and "Alhamduallah" then use language like animals and mental health to describe people leaving low reviews is bad show. He has the variety of vocabulary to get message across without being a bully or sounding arrogant. If your going to speak "muslim" then act "muslim".
