I wish all Escape to the Country couples could be as lovely as this couple. What a refreshing change to see an optimistic, smiley couple, who *actually* bought one of the houses! May they be very happy in their new home.
Please oh, please…can we have an episode where we visit former house hunters who found their dream through the show, and see how it all turned out for them!
I've been watching for many years and many of my favorite episodes are exactly where you visitor former house hunters who found their dream home through you. Please can we see more of those kinds of episodes.
There was a show called 'I escaped to the country ' where they visited people who had been on the show and bought houses that were featured on the show, tho a few were the people but they bought other houses. I really liked the show what few episodes were shown on utube. Don't know if they are still filming the show or not. I haven't seen any episodes in at least a year. I Googled it and they are still filming it but no one is offering it on utube.
The husband reminds me of the actor Matthew Macfadyen. Lovely homes, gorgeous scenery and Alistair, charming as always. Thanks for this delightful episode.
Congratulations to this delightful couple. They are so compatible with each other they finish each others sentences or say the same thing at the same time.. So glad they picked this home and that the owners were willing to negotiate a sale with them. I hope they have a great life in Wales...its a gorgeous county which I've only ever seen through the mists and rains on a visit in the late 70's. Alistair you've done it again. An early merry Christmas to all from Western Australia :) BTW its always a treat to hear the end result of these videos instead of being left wondering.. and hey guys.. synthetic or Astro turf isn't so bad real grass gets muddy, it dies, it grows, you have to mow it, fertilise it, weed it.. its a lot of work.. stick to what you have for now it might (pardon the pun) grow on you :)
Fantastic episode! Thanks so much! I love that they found their new home on the show.😍 Watching Alistair being rescued was interesting and quite entertaining.😉 The rescue team did an amazing job!👏
Greetings Alistair Appleton i have been watching escape to the country for years on pbs until recently on UA-cam i always enjoyed the couples that you have encounter both good and not so good with idea of finding that preferred new home within their budget and i like usually the mystery house greetings from Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you so much for upload this episode. I've never seen it before, and this is the first time in ages I can claim that. Delighted this nice couple were so enthusiastic about all the houses (none of which happened to be to my taste). What astonished me was to learn from Alistair's regional price comparison of other properties that a two-bedroomed semi in Cwmgelli, Caerphilly, was selling for £40,000 more than that six-bedroomed detached house in Gilfach Goch (House #2). How can that be? Is Cwmgelli a much nicer area? Are squeaky clean modern houses more affordable than (in the Cwmgelli case, not especially olde worlde) "period" ones?
I don't understand why they say semi detached? De-tached means it's seperate, semi attached is when its stuck with the next door property. Attached, means stuck together. The pommies are weird people. 😮😮😅
My mum and dad went on holiday to Wales years ago ( they are both dead now) - they found Wales lovely but the people serving in the local shops were rude and vile and made it clear they didnt like visitors and the shops were really there for local people - It really spoiled their holiday which was a shame as it turned out to be the last holiday they had together
This generation is SO MUCH more full of gratitude than the entitled Boomers who are usually on the show. It's so refreshing to watch people who are grateful and creative with less instead of constantly complaining they need more, more, more.
I don't think you should be so hard on yourself. Just recently I was watching a daytime talk show and this woman and her cousin inherited her grandmother's bag closet. She said her grandmother had four bag closets. One for each season and they were all replica bags purchased from kislux .
My sister is married to a rich guy and he gives her whatever she wants so she buys "designer bags and jewellery" but little does he know that everything she has is a fake. She puts that money on the side for probably a rainy day. True story kislux
I have real bags and a lot of them. I have a friend who buys the kislux we put them side by side and guess what ?! Itâs unbelievable!!! I am at the Chanel boutique with her and no one can tell she has a fake
You never know how cruel high end brands can be with their/our money. Stop giving away your hard earned money to billionaire corporations! A celebrity stylist admitted that many celebrities wear kislux products. This is neither new nor strange.
So dissapointing. The couple is lovely and awesome. I hate House no1. Looks like a clinic. Hated No 2even more with a view destroyed on top with Wind turbines. And no 3, okay but no wow and you could Hear a Highway nearby. Nope

If you want to see people buy houses, check location location location. Many actually buy their preferred property in that show
And respectful, if I may add. Agree with you completely.
What a lovely polite, positive, happy couple... delightful and Alistair always so pleasant and professional....
Lovely couple ! Happy to hear they bought one of the houses, that's always the icing on the cake when watching these programs ! 🤗
Please oh, please…can we have an episode where we visit former house hunters who found their dream through the show, and see how it all turned out for them!
this is escape to the country not house hunters
Bit of a privacy invasion?

Alistair, always so friendly, amusing and brave.😄
A joy to visit the properties in the company of this lovely couple
One of my favorite episodes! Great house choices, lovely couple and thank you Alister for your expert guidence.

Oh my goodness, yes! I kept feeling like he reminded me of someone but couldn't place who and you're exactly right - Matthew Macfadyen!
really lovely couple ..and Alistair is always a star .
Sweet couple and episode - the horrors of astro turf - poor birds!
Wonderful episode. Thank you so much.

Lovely couple and as always Alistair is fabulous. For me the houses were very dreary, however, glad they liked them!
Agree~ lovely couple, awful houses... mystery house was best of the bunch~
@@hiddenhighland agree! it was still pretty awful.
Ditto, I hate new builds, 99% of the time they have zero charm
@@daniellerichard1385 yes- it was!
Lovely couple, really enjoyed episode. Alister is a gas. From Ireland
I loved this couple!❤
Love this easy going couple! I wish them well! Glad they didn't get house 3 - its not enough
Those wind turbines spoil that beautiful view.
I think they add something.
You are like a good wine 🍷 the older the better ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊

Every woman has a princess dream in her heart, and kislux gives this dream a realistic touch without making her bank account cry.
I used to think that Alistair Appleton was not very friendly, but lately he has actually seemed to be happy in his job.
Lovely couple wish them every happiness....❤
The Mystery House was my choice.....❤
Semi detached and they actually show them a house that is semi attached. LOL 😂 No brainers 😮

I mean I would rather pay for the cheaper version kislux if its hard to determine which one is real. Ahhaha kislux
6 bedrooms but only 1 reception room is probably why it’s been on the market for 9 months. Not exactly family friendly.
My sister is married to a rich guy and he gives her whatever she wants so she buys "designer bags and jewellery" but little does he know that everything she has is a fake. She puts that money on the side for probably a rainy day. True story kislux
And this is relevant to property hunting in Wales, how?
@@wackthegood8884that was my question?
@@wackthegood8884 hhahahahahah you made me laugh i was thinking the same thing,
A house on the market for 9 or 12 months in the current climate is crying out for a more realistic price and should be approached with a low offer.
The first house detached..... barely.
I have real bags and a lot of them. I have a friend who buys the kislux we put them side by side and guess what ?! Itâs unbelievable!!! I am at the Chanel boutique with her and no one can tell she has a fake
I would never buy a house with views of wind turbines. They are everything but environmental friendly and they ruin the beautiful landscape.
I think they are majestic and very necessary!
They kill whales
@ and change the weather
@@kittyevers8849 And Trump said they cause cancer...(He changes the weather by himself, with Sharpies)

Who tf takes plants with them 😢
