About port slots, If someone had 100 or more empty port slots they don't need anymore for awhile. So just like you get a ship if you've opened a specified # of crates, if they have over 100 or more empty port slots drop something else. Or let us sell off the excess.

Well loot boxes wouldn't be a thing if you didn't have people who have more money than brains buying them like hotcakes thus giving WG the impression that we the player base like it. It all goes back to the algorithm system the more people buy loot boxes what reason does WG have to stop pushing them?? Don't fully blame WG but instead point the finger of blame at the irresponsible players that purchase them by the hundreds which shows as a statistic of players want more of that!
I suggest WG could consider a "Random Map Generator". Minimal on the terrain graphics, but it takes the Ocean map and starts by creating the capture points and then populates some random islands around them that are placed in a roughly symmetrical way.
Agreed. I've been asking for this for years. Supposedly one of the reasons they don't is they're worried about giving one side a geographic advantage. However, they're perfectly okay with Match-Maker forming a 45% WR versus 55% WR match-up guaranteeing a blowout in the first five minutes. Furthermore, I would love to see a KOTS tournament played with randomly generated islands.
On maps, they could get rid of half the islands, also stoop surrounding the capture points with islands. This isn't a tank game we don't need a bunch of terrain to hide behind.
The only MM change that needs to be added is +1/-1 MM For other changes, I want them to fix the bugs on watchful for Subs and the fighter timer and bombs/rockets leaving the reticle for carriers
As torp DD main I have to add "take radar cruisers into account". Too many matches end up with Des Moines and Peteo on one side, and normal cuisers on my side.😂
How about no your destroyer is broken at best and radar cruisers are essential to prevent you from butt f***ing enemy players to death. Proud Wichita owner here.
@Ckonetk421 In my eyes Des Moines is busted, because the counterplay to the 50+ sec 10km radar is "don't get that close". While using the good reload and improved pen angles of the AP to farm at zero risk except for overmatch and our favourite classes of CVs and subs. Also keep in mind the power creep of the game, where Libertad has cruiser rudder shift and detect. (Just compare it to Hindenburg.) Or most new ships having hydro as additional consumable, making torp hits (unless its Pay-To-Win La Pampa) unlikely.
As far as maps are concerned, I for 1 would like to see OCEAN have a higher rate in the rotation. I think I average once a month, if that. BOTs in ASYMs, Operations, and yes CoOp; How about a little more 'Fog of War' with them? I mean planes that beeline to DDs, and you are not detected and WELL out of torp detection range and snipe-torp... and the ship you fire at starts evading the nanosecond you fire.
We found the BB/DD main! Jokes aside, as someone who really enjoys playing Cruisers... I'd rather Ocean be removed from the game entirely with the games current mechanics. A cruiser on Ocean is just screwed. It's the type of map where they shouldn't give a penalty for ALT + F4ing out of the game if you are in a cruiser. Also in contrast to what you want, I'd like to see the bots cheat more, I want the bots to be a threat, I want them knowing exactly where every player is at all times, and making decisions based on that. Yes it would be "unfair" for the bots to do that, but it's already unfair to the bots that they are basically programmed to be more potato than the newest of new players. The early PvE Asym bots were great, until the community started complaining that it wasn't a near guaranteed win and Wargaming stepped in and nerfed the ever living heck out of them. In other words what we need is two different ques. Normal bots, and Hard bots. Let the hard bots cheat as much as they want, have them always focus lowest HP first, make them actually hard to fight. Then have the normal bots be effectively what we have now but with the changes you want. (Though honestly I'd rather they just be made harder so people have to play the game properly in PvE modes and not just derp forward)

@@Stephen__White and then the people who play coop because of toxicity in randoms will quit and the game will start dying. because wargaming wont do two different levels of AI for coop they have asym for that. the bots in coop do get slight improvements but the idea of coop is for people who dont enjoy the tryhards in randoms, or those who are taking a break from pvp and just want to relax and sink some not difficult ships. what you want is called randoms.

Seeing as one of the biggest complaints I see from co-op players is that the bots are so dumb a lot of the ships they want to play don't get to do anything because their teams DDs just rush ahead and torpedoes everything to death. I mean I'm sure some people would quit because they suddenly wouldn't be winning every single battle, and I do get using Co-op to relax, personally I do the same from time to time, hence why I know it's stupidly easy, and I doubt it's fun for my team when I am on their team, because they aren't needed, my random secondary BB will simply crush the bots before they even really get a chance to play the game. Same thing happens in Asyms, I've had many 7-9 kill games with 200-300k+ damage playing Karl Johan. That's where I'm coming from. The bots are already stupidly easy even with what little cheating they do now. Hence why I would like to see them be made harder if anything. I could see Asyms being that "hard mode" if the bots in there hadn't been nerfed to crap.
Happy New Year ! - Match Maker fixes are a much larger concern for the game than just about anything else. Its been an issue for well over five years, has directly has led to the passive Random game mode passive game play, and insane number of imbalanced matches. Radar, Hybrid ships, even max tier vs tier needs to be addressed by WG and soon, as this at the very core of the game.
As a DD driver I like to check the radars per side before the match starts, and some of these matches will be 5 radars vs 1 or none. Not to mention I'm always on the side with no radar ships, as the one radar we do have is AFK.
How about a simple fix of making the main battery range actually readable in the minimap instead of always being buried in the bottom corner unlike the other range rings
Map balance would be really nice to see, as there are so many maps where not only are they heavily weighted for one or two classes of ships, but that they also have very much unbalanced island cover. Two Brothers as an example, the North spawn simply has better island cover on both flanks. Hotspot the South East Flank has better island cover, and the West side while they are very close the South side still has an advantage on cover. Okinawa the North side on the East simply have better cover, as in they have SOME cover, and on the East side the North spawn ALSO has the better cover. This is the point where I'd like to say, a lot of maps do have a bad spawn, but most it's both teams have a weak flank. Shards is an easy example of this, even though the South spawn still has a slight advantage pushing into their weak flank. As much as it would be very video game-y, I would honestly love if Wargaming would just make maps perfect mirrors of each other. Yes it's unrealistic, but so is like 90% of the game. I would make games a WHOLE lot more balanced. 8:57 They were trying to address the issues that non-CV players have with CVs without even remotely touching any of the issues CV players have. In fact making some of the CV player issues worse. I'm honestly not hopeful that CVs will even be remotely playable after that nerf when it happens, even the RU CVs will be hurt by being able to be fully blinded, and say goodbye to any CV ever being able to earn a solo warrior outside of winning on points. As for something to let us know they are still working on it, the community managers have assured the few angry people still spamming the CV re-work, re-work, re-work discord channel that work is still being done towards it, but it's a lot of work. Personally I'd like to see them take a look at overmatch in the same vein they are looking at CVs. Seriously reign in overmatch so that players aren't punished for playing correctly. I mean how is a new player supposed to learn how to angle their ship, when their ships armour is just being ignored by every BB in the MM bracket. I mean keep in mind it only takes a 380mm gun to overmatch a T6 BB, it only takes a 271mm gun to overmatch a T5 BB. We have T6 BBs with 410mm guns. A lot of T7 BBs with 406/410mm guns. Armour is a joke until T8, and for Cruisers even "heavily armoured" cruisers. It's still a joke at T10. So that really needs a look in my opinion.
There is only 1 BB at tier 6 with 410mm guns and it’s a premium ship, the ship with the 406mm guns at tier 6 is also a premium, there are no tech tree ships at tier 6 with guns bigger than 380mm guns so it’s not a big deal as these two ships are not used much.
@@Wetwilly87 There are however 7 total T6 BBs with 380mm guns or larger, and keep in mind all you need to overmatch a T6/7 BB is 380mm guns. T6s can see T7s a theoretically infinite number of times, because there is only a limit on the number of times you see double up tier games not single up tier games. There are 16 T7 BBs with 380mm guns or larger. So yes those two BBs with stupidly large guns for T6 aren't the biggest deals on their own, but they aren't on their own. That's the issue with low tier armour and why it would be really nice to have overmatch looked at. The player should never be actively punished for playing correctly regardless of the size of gun pointed at them. Also lets not forget just recently we got a premium T7 BB with 419mm guns, Wargaming is slowly pushing larger guns down the tiers.
For me i would love if they finally fix the problem that it doesn't remember my custom consumables and pieces collection. Every time I start up the game i have over 80 in my profile from the collections despite me clearing it every time and with my newer ships it resets my consumable keys
And make subs detectable at periscope depth by all including planes and ships. Heck, my planes cannot even see subs at periscope depth but they can spot my planes!
I think one quick thing WG could do for maps is open up the tiers for maps. When I go low tier (1-4), it seems like I always get stuck in one (or two) maps, and that's it for those tiers. However, I never see those maps ever again at tier 5 and above. "Islands" which seems to be the only map at T-1 would be a hell of a map at T-10. I do agree that there should be more maps, and at least a little more rotation. Honestly, playing "scatter" or "two brothers" all the time gets annoying.
I had a game last night where my team had one DD and the other team had three. Our sole Shima pushed in and died immediately (probably a new player with the free tier X). Pretty frustrating
I totally totally feel your pain and frustration! I've been encountering that in Asymmetric battles and Operations dead within less than 2 mins same with seeing noobs in subs too smh but the only real way to get Wargaming's attention is to stop playing the game altogether for a few weeks otherwise each time we log in WG sees that as "oh the player base is happy bc they're logging in". Think about the algorithm.
New maps, fix match making, fix fail divisions(only able to do the same tier), carrier rework, sub rework, and as others have said only +1/-1 match making as they have in world of tanks. All these would greatly improve random gameplay.
New maps of some kind does sound great, with some of the ideas below for dynamic random or semi-randomly generated maps being lovely. Fixing matchmaking would be good and related to that, I still would like WG to re-work the economy distribution and stop nerfing the points for everything other than PVP. Maybe I am in an echo chamber, but I see a LOT of other people commenting about not enjoying the PVP as much, due to toxicity, bad matchmaking, limited motivation or fun, etcetera. Why do they lean so hard into modes that seemingly most people are not so much interested in?
1. promised aircraft carrier rework 2. new submarine lines whatever nation it is with some rework mechanics for a gameplay more similar to those that were the closed tests with high vulnerability and slowness, leaving out the spot part that should remain as it is now in the game, remove the homing torpedo. 3. solve the problem of the dancing ballistics 4. balance the ships in a more appropriate way without touching the numerical section and going to implement, remove or replace consumables as for example without lowering the reload of marco polo put a smoke generator on it and replace its sister giusseppe verdi with hydrophonic. 5. put back the detonation that seems more similar to word of tank without the flag mechanic that neutralizes the effect of detention, use the gear of the first slot of the ammunition hold with the possibility of detonating reduced by 40% passes with a total one, or partial of 70% the risk of detonation. sorry for the papyrus but I would like to see what is written even in part in the near future.
I would be willing to wait a little longer to get into a random match in exchange for only 1 Tier ship difference in the match maker. Limiting hybrids on each side like CVs would be reasonable. New maps sure good point; however, its been a long time since i played in the Ocean map (no islands). I do not like the maps where they put in the cap zones on a 45 degree angle, as it leaves very little room on the edges for ships to kite away. It would be nice if they enlarged the free space around those maps.
How about the ability of players to sell/trade premiums to another player? They could make a 250 dub transfer fee, so they would earn them 500 in a trade, they make money, but some of us get rid a premiums we don't like or get one's we really want. We should also be able to sell permanent camos when we have more than one for a specific ship (I think I have 4 I've earned for the NC and the same problem with others perms).
I want all surface ships; Battleship, Cruiser and Destroyer classes to be given a some form of ability to mitagate Submarines. Large Captain ships should be given an ability to clear the sub pin, with out using damage control, and it should cause the homing torps to lose accuracy. All large ship including cruisers should have air dropped depth charges. Hydro-Acustic search should Detect subs but at closer ranges, leaving the Sub Survaliance alone. Finally all Destroyers should have some version of Sub Survaliance and the higher tier Destroyers should come with improved depth charges like the WWII Hedgehog system.
New maps high up on prio list imo Maybe add shallow passages for DDs/Sub (on surface) only…nothing larger Climate features…not only storm (limited visibility)…maybe higher waves (lower accuracy due to rolling ships) Idk…lol…but maps could add to the experience
Hey SLB, do you know about the turret bug on Prins Van Oranje? Apperently HE knocks them out all the time. I tested it and the system sucks. Go try it with someone in Oranje and others in Harugumo or other rapid fire DDs
not only the hybrids but MM need to balance the roster as far as RADAR and secondary BB , seen so many time a team had all the Radar when another none , or all the German BB on one team when the other got all the USS .. if they fail to address this balance issue on the MM part , the dire and sick random MM meta will not change CV re-re-rework .. well when are they actually going to made AA actually AA , if and only if they made it work !! as for the Maps .. well do they even remember they need to made maps
Wow...same issues as in Tanks...no new map for 2 years, and matchmaking needs work. WG did say they would look at the matchmaking issues in Tanks this next year, and I believe they are bringing back an old map or two after refurbishing them.
OK, it's once again time to give my take on how WG should change the way that CV's operate. These are some major changes, but they shouldn't be too hard to design & implement, and would make the game more challenging and rewarding for CV players. The problem is that when the CV captain is flying his planes around, (which is almost all of the time) the AI takes care of the ship, and the player has very little input. While not generally a bad thing for the CV player (although it does limit his options somewhat), it is very frustrating for the guy who is trying to attack the carrier. If you're in a sub, once the AI has any reason to know where you are, you will be instantly (and very accurately) attacked. And there is no point in pinging a CV, since it will be instantly cleared, and stay cleared for, like forever. The same goes with starting a fire (or a flood) on a CV. What's the point? The automatic DCP makes the CV almost invulnerable. The game would be much better balanced if CV players were required to defend their ship, and to develop the skills to do so. Now, I realize that as it stands now, this isn't practical, since you can't control your planes and your ship at the same time, and the only way to get back to controlling the ship is to recall your aircraft. But I'll offer a few simple suggestions about how this can be made to work: #1: Implement a one keystroke hot key that will shift control between the aircraft and the ship. There should also be a hot key that puts the planes into a loiter mode. #2: Give the CV player-controlled consumables, like every other ship class in the game. These should be something like: a. Damage control party, similar to that found on destroyers (short action time, quick cooldown). b. Repair party. Number of charges, action time, HP per second, and cooldown similar to cruisers. c. Fighters. Make the player decide when they should be deployed. Also include a priority AA sector, which will, in addition to increasing the AA effectiveness, position the fighters on the side of the ship where the threat axis is. d. Maybe include a funny button which, when activated, will substantially reduce the consumable reload time. #3: Player controlled ASW airstrike, like everybody else has. #4: Fire and flood run times should be similar to cruisers. Also, go back to not allowing aircraft launch or recovery if there is a fire on the flight deck. The way that all this would work in game is that the CV player can send out his planes as he does now, but when he finds his ship under attack, he can instantly go back to his ship and deal with that problem. If he needs to put out a fire, or activate the repair party, he can do that with 3 keystrokes, and be back to his planes (about 2 seconds?). If it's a bit more complicated, like dealing with a submarine, or fending off an air attack, he might want to loiter his planes, and when the problem is resolved, they'll be right where he left them, ready to take care of business. Of course, if the planes are in a dangerous position, he might want to head them in a direction to a safer location before loitering them. Remember, he can switch back and forth between the planes and the ship almost instantly. So he doesn't have to manually fly them all the way to safety. I believe that implementing these changes to CV play style will, in addition to giving other ship types a fairer playing field when dealing with carriers, will give CV captains a more satisfying experience by allowing them to develop the skills needed to multi-task in a challenging environment. The really good CV players will adapt and rise to the top, while the CV stumble-bums (like me) will go back to shooting big guns at stuff.
I think your criticism of the MM is nonsense. There are too few players on the North American server to give the range of ships to balance a match except at peak player hours. Hell, early AM there can be only 7 players per team, how do you balance that!
No mm is not random... when you experience 6 games in a row where the players on the other team advance and you are the only one on your team there is only a 3 percent chance of that being random
My biggest pet peeves in addition to what has already been mentioned are: 1.) Fires - they're out of control. 2.) DDs need to sustain more damage from heavy caliber guns. I know it's a game, but COME ON....
I cant imagine with AI and 9 years of knowledge there cannot be a better MM system. MM needs to be issue 1, 2, 3 and 4. Maps and perm game modes #5 lol
Campaigns for the new players need to be fixed as you'll get a mission to cause 10 million HP damage to German ships and nobody sails them anymore and there's like 7 other countries that got added to the game from when these campaigns first came out.
add a matchmaker , give it only +1/-1 , bring in this cv change and undo some of the more insane handicaps handed out over the years , and probably too much to ask but balance wall of skill spam so its less completely oppressive and game destroying. oo and remove overpens and overmatch lets actually punish peopel for sailing badly rather than it all be a mess of rng
Agreed. So tired of landing nearly a full salvo of BB caliber AP on a broadside CL at 12km, along the sides/waterline, and getting 5/6 overpens while he proceeds to burn me down during main battery reload.
How about they can remove submarines because they don't belong in the game most of the ships at the lower tiers just don't really stand much of a chance against them and I don't care that they nerfed them they need to go. Or how about some major love given to the Bismarck that just gets melted by everything that fires high explosive shells at it or the moments that the armor just fails and you're citadel gets nailed no matter how much you angle. There's a lot they could do to fix/improve the game but we all know that's not going to happen because Wargaming only cares about one thing, MONEY not our happiness if they did they wouldn't have put in submarines or overpowered CVs! Ooh I know I know how about they give the damn Wichita a freakin heal instead of defensive AA which essentially does nothing versus any planes from CVs!!!! I'm about to sell my Bismarck because instead of it being awesome to play it's just plain embarassing.
I think submarine surveillance needs to be removed, and submarines should be detectable at maximum depth (1km radius). It's a lame consumable that hard-counters submarines, and if you don't have it, you have no way of really fighting back. For the submarines its also miserable, as they either get revealed without any counterplay, or vanish without any counterplay.
How do you know majority of players play randoms? I find more and more good players in operations, and they are far more enjoyable than randoms. At least I get to shoot something and brawling still is a thing in pve. Only 2 changes are needed for me to return to randoms: remove planes and remove homing torps. New maps?No way! Almost all maps with those silly islands of ship size or smaller are pretty much the same. They convert WoWs into reskinned World of Tanks, with ship hiding and cowering behind islands aka bushes. Only one map is viable in WoWs: Ocean.
Add lethal AA to one of the tech tree lines - maybe the Commonwealth support cruisers. Something that can stop a T8 CV in its tracks and enough to be a severe deterrent to a T10 CV.
We have that, it's the Dutch main line cruisers(and likely also the Dutch CLs) and the American Cruisers. Both are able to get their AA so strong CVs basically can't touch them assuming you run an AA build. I mean GL can basically eat a plane a second as soon as the squad enters it's med range, and Worcester can nearly do the same. Just no one really builds into AA for the most part, meaning those ships are still not a great target, but they are still attack-able.
@@LeonidasRex1 Even though she never should have been, the base design of Atlanta was not actually very effective, hence the refits we see with San-Diego(refit Atalanta) and Flint(technically an Oakland class). She simply did not have the firepower to be an effective AA ship as designed.

I like subs and want them to be fun and better balanced. 1 take out homing torps at periscope and surface make them only for sub vs sub play 2 make subs easier to hit from periscope up including torps at periscope 3 make asw unable to reach subs at 30 at below instead of insta death from asw when spotted. Kinda like dds with smoke 4. Give sub torps a percentage based reduction a 1 2 and 3km vs 10 % damage. Maybe 10% at 1km 20% at 2km and 30 at 3km. 10 % at 3 is brutal
Just leave cvs alone there is no need to continue nerfing them and at this point its basically no fun even playing them anymore or at least make better fighter planes no longer useless like i dont know make them follow a ship to provide cover or something
CVs would be better if it would work similar to airstrikes of Dutch cruisers, so they had to go closer and finally risk too. Give them lets say either cone or limited round area selected my click on minimap kind of radar - maybe bigger but with some delay as scout planes do usually. I personally would welcome few small changes: -Make brawls more balanced in number of same ship class, now you can get 1BB in team and 3BBs in enemy team which sometimes leads to simple predicted results. -Remove that info tab "Nice try, you get zero points" when you die in Assymetric battles (its relic from some event where you were getting rewarded by points convertible to credits) Add subs to Operations and all types of battles incl King of sea tournament or remove them from all types of battles except : Wolf pack Operation, Convoy. 👉Radar ships in MM are similar badly distributed as hybrids, 👉brawl ships, premium ships!!! (usually maxed captains) gunboat DDs and large cruisers. Those who defend CVs and subs : Tell me why CVs and subs are not in CBs, CVs rarely and both are sometimes added to brawls but mostly not there too.
World of Warships Fixes/Improvements?!?! You mean BUGS?!?! Bawhahahahaha!!!!!! I have been playing this game since early 2016. Some of the oldest bugs are still there that WG has not addressed (they call it a feature) so "OK" guys, hold your breath and get ready for a read! 1) Aiming bugs; You know what I am talking about. Where you aim for the water line and all the shells fall short? I mean way short! 2) Smoke spotting; Kind of new due to WG messing up the code (IMO). That is where you smoke up (in the middle of the map) but you are still detected! 3) New players (I mean brand new players) being able to purchase high tier ships from the start; No explanation needed here. 4) Lock on bugs; Been in the game forever! When you lock onto a target and another ship is in close proximity and the target lock "drifts" to other targets. Happens when shooting as well. 5) Subs; Can't kill what you can't see. Hydro was developed to detect/track submarines. Not implemented. 6) CV Rework; CV's need a set number of planes. No more magic squad creations, and HE should impact a CV and cause HEAVY DAMAGE (as was the case IRL!) without magic DC! 7) AA Effectiveness; AA in game is quite a joke! A few planes get shot down, but the squad still hits you like a truck! Maybe with limited planes (See #6) that might make a difference. 8) RNG Shell Contact Damage; This one happened after the WG fix for the "rail gun" bug. Your shell "pen" damage is now not much more than "over pen" damage. Broadsides are the worst! 9) RNG Matchmaking; Player "games played" and "win rate" should be equal. For every 40% win rate player on 1 team, the other should have 1 as well. Equal distribution of "win rate" players. 10) Blowout Game Mechanics; (see #9) Too much to list here, but generally, when RNG is with you and you have good players on your team, it's a "blowout"! 11) Chat Bullying; I personally don't think chat bullying (shamming players) should be allowed. Players try to do the right things but get called out for loosing the match (which wasn't really there fault). 12) RNG; This game is completely based on RNG. No amount of skill in aiming will get you that "dev strike" if RNG says "NO!". Don't know why WG has KOTS when RNG will literally decide who will win. Their is far more that can be said about "fixes/Improvements" because I have not mentioned every bug (such as "shell dispersion near islands" and the "zoom in out" bugs) that is present in the game. I'm sure others here will point that out. If WG wanted to expand the player base and keep long time players active in World of Warships, then they could at least address these problems and STOP calling them features!
You had to actually be good with the RTS CVs. The CV was either The Hand Of God or completely useless at that time. Though, with RTS CVs, that idea could be improved with the manually controlled main guns.
@distracting_games you need to be good with all classes with practice, if you play a bb like a no, pushing mindless at the beginning,you are dead, if you overextended with a dd, you are dead, if you don't press attention in a cruiser ,you are dead, if your overping with a sub, your reveal your position, and are dead,is the same with a RTS CV, if you don't use your planes correctly,you will get out of planes, so ,dead or out of the game, because you can't do DMG or spot, like all other classes
@tsu7206 that is really hard to do actually,is way easier to get dev strike for a dd or a bb at the beginning of the game,.that get cross dropped by a cv, because all ships are together and , with limiteds planes más way stronger AA of the RTS CV era, no cv player would waste planes in a drop that not worth it
Things to fix: +/-1 Matchmaking. It would be great to bring back the CV`s on tier 5, 7 and 9, some as premium ships. Same amount of radar ships in both teams. Same amount of hybrid ships in both teams. Nerf fire chance for all ships, set it to half. Remove or nerf Hildebrand, a group of torpedo bombers every minute is too much. Every 2 minutes would be better, like Kearsarge. Remove or nerf "cheater" ships like Musashi and Slawa. Better tutorials. More bug fixing. The game has more bugs than a street dog fleas. Upgrade karma system. Tell players who reported or complimented them. Or just remove it. WG stop listening to noob crybabies. Only 3 small units per team, 3 DD`s or 2 of them and 1 sub. No exceptions! Only 1 CV per team, no matter how much are in the queue. No exceptions! Buff british CV`s, they`re pretty weak. Audacious at tier 10 is weaker than most tier 8 CV`s. NO CV rework! They`re ok as they are now, and i say this as an BB, DD and CV player. I want CV spotting as a BB player because most of the DD`s are too often in smoke or sunken, so without CV no spotting. I want CV spotting as a DD player because this can warn me about an opponent gunboat DD coming too close to me when i can`t gunfight him in my torpedo DD. And it`s so much fun to cock a snook to a CV player in a DD, i don`t want to miss this funny stuff.

WG doesn't need to focus on the game itself Mount. About port slots, If someone had 100 or more empty port slots they don't need anymore for awhile. So just like you get a ship if you've opened a specified # of crates, if they have over 100 or more empty port slots drop something else. Or let us sell off the excess.

I suggest WG could consider a "Random Map Generator". Minimal on the terrain graphics, but it takes the Ocean map and starts by creating the capture points and then populates some random islands around them that are placed in a roughly symmetrical way.
Agreed. I've been asking for this for years. Supposedly one of the reasons they don't is they're worried about giving one side a geographic advantage. However, they're perfectly okay with Match-Maker forming a 45% WR versus 55% WR match-up guaranteeing a blowout in the first five minutes. Furthermore, I would love to see a KOTS tournament played with randomly generated islands.
They could also recycle some of the low tier maps and scale them up for higher tiers.

As torp DD main I have to add "take radar cruisers into account". Too many matches end up with Des Moines and Peteo on one side, and normal cuisers on my side.😂
How about no your destroyer is broken at best and radar cruisers are essential to prevent you from butt f***ing enemy players to death. Proud Wichita owner here.
@Ckonetk421 In my eyes Des Moines is busted, because the counterplay to the 50+ sec 10km radar is "don't get that close". While using the good reload and improved pen angles of the AP to farm at zero risk except for overmatch and our favourite classes of CVs and subs.
Also keep in mind the power creep of the game, where Libertad has cruiser rudder shift and detect. (Just compare it to Hindenburg.) Or most new ships having hydro as additional consumable, making torp hits (unless its Pay-To-Win La Pampa) unlikely.

As far as maps are concerned, I for 1 would like to see OCEAN have a higher rate in the rotation. I think I average once a month, if that. BOTs in ASYMs, Operations, and yes CoOp; How about a little more 'Fog of War' with them? I mean planes that beeline to DDs, and you are not detected and WELL out of torp detection range and snipe-torp... and the ship you fire at starts evading the nanosecond you fire.
We found the BB/DD main! Jokes aside, as someone who really enjoys playing Cruisers... I'd rather Ocean be removed from the game entirely with the games current mechanics. A cruiser on Ocean is just screwed. It's the type of map where they shouldn't give a penalty for ALT + F4ing out of the game if you are in a cruiser.
Also in contrast to what you want, I'd like to see the bots cheat more, I want the bots to be a threat, I want them knowing exactly where every player is at all times, and making decisions based on that. Yes it would be "unfair" for the bots to do that, but it's already unfair to the bots that they are basically programmed to be more potato than the newest of new players. The early PvE Asym bots were great, until the community started complaining that it wasn't a near guaranteed win and Wargaming stepped in and nerfed the ever living heck out of them. In other words what we need is two different ques. Normal bots, and Hard bots. Let the hard bots cheat as much as they want, have them always focus lowest HP first, make them actually hard to fight. Then have the normal bots be effectively what we have now but with the changes you want. (Though honestly I'd rather they just be made harder so people have to play the game properly in PvE modes and not just derp forward)

Seeing as one of the biggest complaints I see from co-op players is that the bots are so dumb a lot of the ships they want to play don't get to do anything because their teams DDs just rush ahead and torpedoes everything to death.

Same thing happens in Asyms, I've had many 7-9 kill games with 200-300k+ damage playing Karl Johan. That's where I'm coming from.
The bots are already stupidly easy even with what little cheating they do now. Hence why I would like to see them be made harder if anything. I could see Asyms being that "hard mode" if the bots in there hadn't been nerfed to crap.

Happy New Year ! - Match Maker fixes are a much larger concern for the game than just about anything else. Its been an issue for well over five years, has directly has led to the passive Random game mode passive game play, and insane number of imbalanced matches. Radar, Hybrid ships, even max tier vs tier needs to be addressed by WG and soon, as this at the very core of the game.
As a DD driver I like to check the radars per side before the match starts, and some of these matches will be 5 radars vs 1 or none. Not to mention I'm always on the side with no radar ships, as the one radar we do have is AFK.
How about a simple fix of making the main battery range actually readable in the minimap instead of always being buried in the bottom corner unlike the other range rings

Map balance would be really nice to see, as there are so many maps where not only are they heavily weighted for one or two classes of ships, but that they also have very much unbalanced island cover. Two Brothers as an example, the North spawn simply has better island cover on both flanks. Hotspot the South East Flank has better island cover, and the West side while they are very close the South side still has an advantage on cover. Okinawa the North side on the East simply have better cover, as in they have SOME cover, and on the East side the North spawn ALSO has the better cover.
This is the point where I'd like to say, a lot of maps do have a bad spawn, but most it's both teams have a weak flank. Shards is an easy example of this, even though the South spawn still has a slight advantage pushing into their weak flank.
As much as it would be very video game-y, I would honestly love if Wargaming would just make maps perfect mirrors of each other. Yes it's unrealistic, but so is like 90% of the game. I would make games a WHOLE lot more balanced.

I'm honestly not hopeful that CVs will even be remotely playable after that nerf when it happens, even the RU CVs will be hurt by being able to be fully blinded, and say goodbye to any CV ever being able to earn a solo warrior outside of winning on points. As for something to let us know they are still working on it, the community managers have assured the few angry people still spamming the CV re-work, re-work, re-work discord channel that work is still being done towards it, but it's a lot of work.
Personally I'd like to see them take a look at overmatch in the same vein they are looking at CVs. Seriously reign in overmatch so that players aren't punished for playing correctly. I mean how is a new player supposed to learn how to angle their ship, when their ships armour is just being ignored by every BB in the MM bracket. I mean keep in mind it only takes a 380mm gun to overmatch a T6 BB, it only takes a 271mm gun to overmatch a T5 BB. We have T6 BBs with 410mm guns. A lot of T7 BBs with 406/410mm guns. Armour is a joke until T8, and for Cruisers even "heavily armoured" cruisers. It's still a joke at T10. So that really needs a look in my opinion.
There is only 1 BB at tier 6 with 410mm guns and it’s a premium ship, the ship with the 406mm guns at tier 6 is also a premium, there are no tech tree ships at tier 6 with guns bigger than 380mm guns so it’s not a big deal as these two ships are not used much.
@@Wetwilly87 There are however 7 total T6 BBs with 380mm guns or larger, and keep in mind all you need to overmatch a T6/7 BB is 380mm guns.
T6s can see T7s a theoretically infinite number of times, because there is only a limit on the number of times you see double up tier games not single up tier games.
There are 16 T7 BBs with 380mm guns or larger.
So yes those two BBs with stupidly large guns for T6 aren't the biggest deals on their own, but they aren't on their own. That's the issue with low tier armour and why it would be really nice to have overmatch looked at. The player should never be actively punished for playing correctly regardless of the size of gun pointed at them. Also lets not forget just recently we got a premium T7 BB with 419mm guns, Wargaming is slowly pushing larger guns down the tiers.

For me i would love if they finally fix the problem that it doesn't remember my custom consumables and pieces collection. Every time I start up the game i have over 80 in my profile from the collections despite me clearing it every time and with my newer ships it resets my consumable keys

I think one quick thing WG could do for maps is open up the tiers for maps. When I go low tier (1-4), it seems like I always get stuck in one (or two) maps, and that's it for those tiers. However, I never see those maps ever again at tier 5 and above. "Islands" which seems to be the only map at T-1 would be a hell of a map at T-10. I do agree that there should be more maps, and at least a little more rotation. Honestly, playing "scatter" or "two brothers" all the time gets annoying.
I had a game last night where my team had one DD and the other team had three. Our sole Shima pushed in and died immediately (probably a new player with the free tier X). Pretty frustrating
I totally totally feel your pain and frustration! I've been encountering that in Asymmetric battles and Operations dead within less than 2 mins same with seeing noobs in subs too smh but the only real way to get Wargaming's attention is to stop playing the game altogether for a few weeks otherwise each time we log in WG sees that as "oh the player base is happy bc they're logging in". Think about the algorithm.
New maps, fix match making, fix fail divisions(only able to do the same tier), carrier rework, sub rework, and as others have said only +1/-1 match making as they have in world of tanks. All these would greatly improve random gameplay.

New maps of some kind does sound great, with some of the ideas below for dynamic random or semi-randomly generated maps being lovely. Fixing matchmaking would be good and related to that, I still would like WG to re-work the economy distribution and stop nerfing the points for everything other than PVP.
Maybe I am in an echo chamber, but I see a LOT of other people commenting about not enjoying the PVP as much, due to toxicity, bad matchmaking, limited motivation or fun, etcetera. Why do they lean so hard into modes that seemingly most people are not so much interested in?
WG has been using assets that Lesta left behind WG doesnt have people that would make new model of anything
1. promised aircraft carrier rework 2. new submarine lines whatever nation it is with some rework mechanics for a gameplay more similar to those that were the closed tests with high vulnerability and slowness, leaving out the spot part that should remain as it is now in the game, remove the homing torpedo. 3. solve the problem of the dancing ballistics 4. balance the ships in a more appropriate way without touching the numerical section and going to implement, remove or replace consumables as for example without lowering the reload of marco polo put a smoke generator on it and replace its sister giusseppe verdi with hydrophonic. 5. put back the detonation that seems more similar to word of tank without the flag mechanic that neutralizes the effect of detention, use the gear of the first slot of the ammunition hold with the possibility of detonating reduced by 40% passes with a total one, or partial of 70% the risk of detonation. sorry for the papyrus but I would like to see what is written even in part in the near future.

I would be willing to wait a little longer to get into a random match in exchange for only 1 Tier ship difference in the match maker. Limiting hybrids on each side like CVs would be reasonable. New maps sure good point; however, its been a long time since i played in the Ocean map (no islands). I do not like the maps where they put in the cap zones on a 45 degree angle, as it leaves very little room on the edges for ships to kite away. It would be nice if they enlarged the free space around those maps.
How about the ability of players to sell/trade premiums to another player? They could make a 250 dub transfer fee, so they would earn them 500 in a trade, they make money, but some of us get rid a premiums we don't like or get one's we really want. We should also be able to sell permanent camos when we have more than one for a specific ship (I think I have 4 I've earned for the NC and the same problem with others perms).
WG need to add more anime and bs ships even better if premiums. Also T12 ships and 100 knot subs. In other words keep doing what they are doing

I want all surface ships; Battleship, Cruiser and Destroyer classes to be given a some form of ability to mitagate Submarines.
Large Captain ships should be given an ability to clear the sub pin, with out using damage control, and it should cause the homing torps to lose accuracy.
All large ship including cruisers should have air dropped depth charges. Hydro-Acustic search should Detect subs but at closer ranges, leaving the Sub Survaliance alone.
Finally all Destroyers should have some version of Sub Survaliance and the higher tier Destroyers should come with improved depth charges like the WWII Hedgehog system.
New maps high up on prio list imo
Maybe add shallow passages for DDs/Sub (on surface) only…nothing larger
Climate features…not only storm (limited visibility)…maybe higher waves (lower accuracy due to rolling ships)

Wow...same issues as in Tanks...no new map for 2 years, and matchmaking needs work. WG did say they would look at the matchmaking issues in Tanks this next year, and I believe they are bringing back an old map or two after refurbishing them.

OK, it's once again time to give my take on how WG should change the way that CV's operate. These are some major changes, but they shouldn't be too hard to design & implement, and would make the game more challenging and rewarding for CV players.
The problem is that when the CV captain is flying his planes around, (which is almost all of the time) the AI takes care of the ship, and the player has very little input. While not generally a bad thing for the CV player (although it does limit his options somewhat), it is very frustrating for the guy who is trying to attack the carrier. If you're in a sub, once the AI has any reason to know where you are, you will be instantly (and very accurately) attacked. And there is no point in pinging a CV, since it will be instantly cleared, and stay cleared for, like forever. The same goes with starting a fire (or a flood) on a CV. What's the point? The automatic DCP makes the CV almost invulnerable.
The game would be much better balanced if CV players were required to defend their ship, and to develop the skills to do so. Now, I realize that as it stands now, this isn't practical, since you can't control your planes and your ship at the same time, and the only way to get back to controlling the ship is to recall your aircraft. But I'll offer a few simple suggestions about how this can be made to work:
#1: Implement a one keystroke hot key that will shift control between the aircraft and the ship. There should also be a hot key that puts the planes into a loiter mode.
#2: Give the CV player-controlled consumables, like every other ship class in the game. These should be something like:
a. Damage control party, similar to that found on destroyers (short action time, quick cooldown).
b. Repair party. Number of charges, action time, HP per second, and cooldown similar to cruisers.
c. Fighters. Make the player decide when they should be deployed. Also include a priority AA sector, which will, in addition to increasing the AA effectiveness, position the fighters on the side of the ship where the threat axis is.
d. Maybe include a funny button which, when activated, will substantially reduce the consumable reload time.
#3: Player controlled ASW airstrike, like everybody else has.
#4: Fire and flood run times should be similar to cruisers. Also, go back to not allowing aircraft launch or recovery if there is a fire on the flight deck.
The way that all this would work in game is that the CV player can send out his planes as he does now, but when he finds his ship under attack, he can instantly go back to his ship and deal with that problem. If he needs to put out a fire, or activate the repair party, he can do that with 3 keystrokes, and be back to his planes (about 2 seconds?). If it's a bit more complicated, like dealing with a submarine, or fending off an air attack, he might want to loiter his planes, and when the problem is resolved, they'll be right where he left them, ready to take care of business. Of course, if the planes are in a dangerous position, he might want to head them in a direction to a safer location before loitering them. Remember, he can switch back and forth between the planes and the ship almost instantly. So he doesn't have to manually fly them all the way to safety.
I believe that implementing these changes to CV play style will, in addition to giving other ship types a fairer playing field when dealing with carriers, will give CV captains a more satisfying experience by allowing them to develop the skills needed to multi-task in a challenging environment. The really good CV players will adapt and rise to the top, while the CV stumble-bums (like me) will go back to shooting big guns at stuff.
I think your criticism of the MM is nonsense. There are too few players on the North American server to give the range of ships to balance a match except at peak player hours. Hell, early AM there can be only 7 players per team, how do you balance that!

No mm is not random... when you experience 6 games in a row where the players on the other team advance and you are the only one on your team there is only a 3 percent chance of that being random

How about they can remove submarines because they don't belong in the game most of the ships at the lower tiers just don't really stand much of a chance against them and I don't care that they nerfed them they need to go. Or how about some major love given to the Bismarck that just gets melted by everything that fires high explosive shells at it or the moments that the armor just fails and you're citadel gets nailed no matter how much you angle. There's a lot they could do to fix/improve the game but we all know that's not going to happen because Wargaming only cares about one thing, MONEY not our happiness if they did they wouldn't have put in submarines or overpowered CVs! Ooh I know I know how about they give the damn Wichita a freakin heal instead of defensive AA which essentially does nothing versus any planes from CVs!!!! I think submarine surveillance needs to be removed, and submarines should be detectable at maximum depth (1km radius).
It's a lame consumable that hard-counters submarines, and if you don't have it, you have no way of really fighting back.
For the submarines its also miserable, as they either get revealed without any counterplay, or vanish without any counterplay.
How do you know majority of players play randoms? I find more and more good players in operations, and they are far more enjoyable than randoms. At least I get to shoot something and brawling still is a thing in pve.
Only 2 changes are needed for me to return to randoms: remove planes and remove homing torps.
New maps?No way! Almost all maps with those silly islands of ship size or smaller are pretty much the same. They convert WoWs into reskinned World of Tanks, with ship hiding and cowering behind islands aka bushes. Only one map is viable in WoWs: Ocean.

Dump the Subs, would be the best fix!
Add lethal AA to one of the tech tree lines - maybe the Commonwealth support cruisers. Something that can stop a T8 CV in its tracks and enough to be a severe deterrent to a T10 CV.
We have that, it's the Dutch main line cruisers(and likely also the Dutch CLs) and the American Cruisers. Both are able to get their AA so strong CVs basically can't touch them assuming you run an AA build. I mean GL can basically eat a plane a second as soon as the squad enters it's med range, and Worcester can nearly do the same.
Just no one really builds into AA for the most part, meaning those ships are still not a great target, but they are still attack-able.
To add to what Stephen said, the Japanese T8 CL Shimanto and the Pan-Am T8 cruiser both have 6.9 km AA range

@@LeonidasRex1 Even though she never should have been, the base design of Atlanta was not actually very effective, hence the refits we see with San-Diego(refit Atalanta) and Flint(technically an Oakland class). She simply did not have the firepower to be an effective AA ship as designed.

Physical CVs have no place in the scale of World of Warships. Unfortunately that ship has sailed…
I like subs and want them to be fun and better balanced.
1 take out homing torps at periscope and surface make them only for sub vs sub play
2 make subs easier to hit from periscope up including torps at periscope
3 make asw unable to reach subs at 30 at below instead of insta death from asw when spotted. Kinda like dds with smoke
4. Give sub torps a percentage based reduction a 1 2 and 3km vs 10 % damage. Maybe 10% at 1km 20% at 2km and 30 at 3km. 10 % at 3 is brutal
They're about as much fun as a root canal without it being numbed, get outta here with that talk.
Just leave cvs alone there is no need to continue nerfing them and at this point its basically no fun even playing them anymore or at least make better fighter planes no longer useless like i dont know make them follow a ship to provide cover or something
Improve Gneisenau accuracy
Pan-American BBS need to their maneuverability nerfed. Either lose the acceleration or rudder shift/turning circle.

I've taken to switching to HE even when there is a broadside. You just can't chunk the damn things.

CVs would be better if it would work similar to airstrikes of Dutch cruisers, so they had to go closer and finally risk too. Give them lets say either cone or limited round area selected my click on minimap kind of radar - maybe bigger but with some delay as scout planes do usually.
I personally would welcome few small changes:
-Make brawls more balanced in number of same ship class, now you can get 1BB in team and 3BBs in enemy team which sometimes leads to simple predicted results.
-Remove that info tab "Nice try, you get zero points"
when you die in Assymetric battles (its relic from some event where you were getting rewarded by points convertible to credits)
Add subs to Operations and all types of battles incl King of sea tournament or remove them from all types of battles except : Wolf pack Operation, Convoy.
👉Radar ships in MM are similar badly distributed as hybrids, 👉brawl ships, premium ships!!! (usually maxed captains) gunboat DDs and large cruisers.
Those who defend CVs and subs : Tell me why CVs and subs are not in CBs, CVs rarely and both are sometimes added to brawls but mostly not there too.
World of Warships Fixes/Improvements?!?! You mean BUGS?!?! Bawhahahahaha!!!!!!
I have been playing this game since early 2016. Some of the oldest bugs are still there that WG has not addressed (they call it a feature) so "OK" guys, hold your breath and get ready for a read!
1) Aiming bugs; You know what I am talking about. Where you aim for the water line and all the shells fall short? I mean way short!
2) Smoke spotting; Kind of new due to WG messing up the code (IMO). That is where you smoke up (in the middle of the map) but you are still detected!
3) New players (I mean brand new players) being able to purchase high tier ships from the start; No explanation needed here.
4) Lock on bugs; Been in the game forever! When you lock onto a target and another ship is in close proximity and the target lock "drifts" to other targets. Happens when shooting as well.
5) Subs; Can't kill what you can't see. Hydro was developed to detect/track submarines. Not implemented.
6) CV Rework; CV's need a set number of planes. No more magic squad creations, and HE should impact a CV and cause HEAVY DAMAGE (as was the case IRL!) without magic DC!
7) AA Effectiveness; AA in game is quite a joke! A few planes get shot down, but the squad still hits you like a truck! Maybe with limited planes (See #6) that might make a difference.
8) RNG Shell Contact Damage; This one happened after the WG fix for the "rail gun" bug. Your shell "pen" damage is now not much more than "over pen" damage. Broadsides are the worst!
9) RNG Matchmaking; Player "games played" and "win rate" should be equal. For every 40% win rate player on 1 team, the other should have 1 as well. Equal distribution of "win rate" players.
10) Blowout Game Mechanics; (see #9) Too much to list here, but generally, when RNG is with you and you have good players on your team, it's a "blowout"!
11) Chat Bullying; I personally don't think chat bullying (shamming players) should be allowed. Players try to do the right things but get called out for loosing the match (which wasn't really there fault).
12) RNG; This game is completely based on RNG. No amount of skill in aiming will get you that "dev strike" if RNG says "NO!". Don't know why WG has KOTS when RNG will literally decide who will win.
Their is far more that can be said about "fixes/Improvements" because I have not mentioned every bug (such as "shell dispersion near islands" and the "zoom in out" bugs) that is present in the game. I'm sure others here will point that out. If WG wanted to expand the player base and keep long time players active in World of Warships, then they could at least address these problems and STOP calling them features!

You had to actually be good with the RTS CVs. The CV was either The Hand Of God or completely useless at that time. Though, with RTS CVs, that idea could be improved with the manually controlled main guns.
@distracting_games you need to be good with all classes with practice, if you play a bb like a no, pushing mindless at the beginning,you are dead, if you overextended with a dd, you are dead, if you don't press attention in a cruiser ,you are dead, if your overping with a sub, your reveal your position, and are dead,is the same with a RTS CV, if you don't use your planes correctly,you will get out of planes, so ,dead or out of the game, because you can't do DMG or spot, like all other classes
Do you really want to be deleted as soon as the game start by an RTS CV player who decided to cross drop you?
@tsu7206 that is really hard to do actually,is way easier to get dev strike for a dd or a bb at the beginning of the game,.that get cross dropped by a cv, because all ships are together and , with limiteds planes más way stronger AA of the RTS CV era, no cv player would waste planes in a drop that not worth it
Turn of Plane Spotting and remove Smoke Bombs from CV and they are fine
Things to fix:
+/-1 Matchmaking. It would be great to bring back the CV`s on tier 5, 7 and 9, some as premium ships.
Same amount of radar ships in both teams.
Same amount of hybrid ships in both teams.
Nerf fire chance for all ships, set it to half.
Remove or nerf Hildebrand, a group of torpedo bombers every minute is too much. Every 2 minutes would be better, like Kearsarge.
Remove or nerf "cheater" ships like Musashi and Slawa.
Better tutorials.
More bug fixing. The game has more bugs than a street dog fleas.
Upgrade karma system. Tell players who reported or complimented them. Or just remove it.
WG stop listening to noob crybabies.
Only 3 small units per team, 3 DD`s or 2 of them and 1 sub. No exceptions!
Only 1 CV per team, no matter how much are in the queue. No exceptions!
Buff british CV`s, they`re pretty weak. Audacious at tier 10 is weaker than most tier 8 CV`s.
NO CV rework! They`re ok as they are now, and i say this as an BB, DD and CV player. I want CV spotting as a BB player because most of the DD`s are too often in smoke or sunken, so without CV no spotting. I want CV spotting as a DD player because this can warn me about an opponent gunboat DD coming too close to me when i can`t gunfight him in my torpedo DD. And it`s so much fun to cock a snook to a CV player in a DD, i don`t want to miss this funny stuff.
Just change CV spotting as Flamu said to minimap spotting...and give something better against subs.

WG doesn't need to focus on the game itself Mount. They need to get rid of the DEI policies implemented, mend the relationships with past CC's and the Core Playerbase that left the game, ESPECIALLY (Little White Mouse Saga) and to Stop Fkn LYING to us. This is what should be done first before fixing the game
WG needs to nerf those stupid Pan American BB's.
