in 1995 I stay in Furama hotel with my family before is near the water, now 2017 I went there again with my own family and Furama hotel was gone but the building still stands but not near the water as the land moves further into what used to be the sea. Hongkong still holds a special place in my heart.
Furama used to have a massage parlor at the basement where i been ..... and its rotating restaurant on the top floors offered the best of view over the island, i missed it whenever the name Furama was mentioned

This video was taken close to the time I was in Hong Kong as a young Marine in a Marine Expeditionary Unit going from port to port. I loved every single expensive minute of it. I remember the English area, with all it's wonderful English pubs, Hong Kong 7/11s, and that marvelous train system. What a fantastic time to be alive and experience this firsthand.

The food was great. But apartments in Hong Kong are a lot more expensive than New York City. If I had money, I would go back.

in 1995 I stay in Furama hotel with my family before is near the water, now 2017 I went there again with my own family and Furama hotel was gone but the building still stands but not near the water as the land moves further into what used to be the sea. Hongkong still holds a special place in my heart.
Furama used to have a massage parlor at the basement where i been ..... and its rotating restaurant on the top floors offered the best of view over the island, i missed it whenever the name Furama was mentioned

Thankyou for bringing back sweet memories. I lived there for 3 years in Sha Tin and Saikung. I worked for the Hong Kong Standard and my sis for Cathay Pacific. I appreciate the Asian culture much more now after having lived in Europe for half my life. I kick myself for not learning the language then.

The food was great. But apartments in Hong Kong are a lot more expensive than New York City. If I had money, I would go back.
