The question; is reliability attached to less depreciation? Considering that some of these vehicles, perhaps with the exception of Lexus with its Toyota time tested engineering, have astronomical repair and maintenance costs, and the warranties for most luxury cars (BMW/Mercedes) is four year or 50K. So, it would make sense that there would be some depreciation at 5 years, is the extent based on reliability? It seems no one buys a vehicle to keep more than 3-5 years. I think about Maserati Quattroporte, or the exotic Bentayga, and despite the exotic labels, the depreciation is massive. And that "unvenerable" soon-to-be driveway ornament, the Land Rover.
It seems yes. That's one reason Land Rover depreciates this fast. Some particular Mercedes and BMW models that hold their value well after 10 years are reliable models.
I don’t think people who buy these cars really care about resale value. Many of the customers actually lease them especially Mercedes and BMWs because they know better
Hi Jihad, yes the MDX is a great SUV and while certain models had some transmission issues, for the most part it carries Honda reliability which is far better than most other brands out there. I believe there were some fuel pump recalls in some and I have heard from a few people that the transmission may delay on engagement during acceleration. Brakes are also a little weak, but honestly no car is [perfect and its still a solid contender and is definitely worth owning.
Back in 07-09 you could get a 5 year old G-wagon for under 20k, nobody wanted them, after the Kardashians, you're lucky to get an 03 now for less than 30k.
Pretty limited consumer interest for a Mercedes Benz AMG G Class. You're looking at a price of $309,000 new, plus that bulletproof tank with the "industrial handles" gets around 18.1 city / 14.7 hwy litres per 100 KM. So it would cost you about $15,000 more over 5 years than the average new vehicle just for the premium fuel it guzzles. I guess if you have the big bucks to buy one you don't really care about gas mileage. Not exactly a commuter vehicle.
Cars that won't depreciation: "look, I has beautiful tires, beautiful doors, look, beautiful mirrors, oh look, beautiful seats, and look, beautifully grill, oh, and a gorgeous emblem, look here, an amazing sunroof, look at these wheels....". Thanks for this. I love your videos! A bit of constructive criticism: (1) You say "literally" a lot and the word is almost meaningless. You are merely (mis)using it to add emphasis. Benefit of not using it: efficiency and integrity (as in come across as a more solid and believable guy). (2) You say "beautiful" and "gorgeous" a lot. Yes, all these cars are beautiful but these words lose their meaning. Also, this is video. We can see for ourselves without you telling us your *subjective* evaluation. Seriously: Try leaving out all your highly subjective opinions and see how the videos sound. (3) When you are talking about a high end car like a Porsche 911, do you think a guy (most of your demographic are men I imagine) is going to care more about specs like HP, torque, weight, drag coefficient, 0-60 or "stunning glorious wheels" and "beautiful tail lights" and where the gas filler is? These zoom ins on inconsequentials are a waste of time and - again - something we can judge for ourselves. I actually laughed out loud when you pointed out the "gorgeous carbon fiber exhaust tips" on the M2. I'm telling you this stuff because I like you and I'm a car lover like you obviously are and I want your channel to thrive. If you are targeting females as your primary demo then by all means talk about the "beautiful door handles" (not really). Finally, this video is about depreciation so why do you inconsistently (if at all here) mention their retail price?

Haha, cheers
Yeah, sell your left arm to buy one of these(excluding the Lexus) - then sell your right arm to keep up with the maintenance and repairs! 😂
Corvette, eat your heart out. you aint got nothing on an 911 lol. epic dialogue.
One reason why they hold their value well is because the have decent reliability
It seems yes. That's one reason Land Rover depreciates this fast. Some particular Mercedes and BMW models that hold their value well after 10 years are reliable models.
I don't think there's many lexuses you cannot go wrong with.. the LC500 and ISF500 incredible offerings
Depreciation means nothing to those of us that keep our vehicles until the wheels fall off
Even the cayenne?
I don’t think people who buy these cars really care about resale value. Many of the customers actually lease them especially Mercedes and BMWs because they know better
try taking a fast turn with that Merc AMG SUV
Next time, can you please explain how to run in a performance car like M50i?
Good to know, thanks! Certainly considering the 911 for my wife.
They are awesome cars
Can I ask about Acura Mdx 2020 I got one with 28 k , is’t reliable car ?
Hi Jihad, yes the MDX is a great SUV and while certain models had some transmission issues, for the most part it carries Honda reliability which is far better than most other brands out there. I believe there were some fuel pump recalls in some and I have heard from a few people that the transmission may delay on engagement during acceleration. Brakes are also a little weak, but honestly no car is [perfect and its still a solid contender and is definitely worth owning.
Noooooooo
Noooooooo
Do not buy any luxurious European vehicle, ever.
Volvo
You didn't have to disrespect Mistubushi.. I do agree the name eclipse cross is a miss fit.
Thanka
Amg holds it value bc of the platform it’s in, metal tire cover, etc? Guarantee the ppl buying them have no clue about anything below the surface
2022 Macan S lost 20% after one year when I wanted to trade in for a Cayenne.
Haircut looks solid, did you lose a bet? Lol
I appreciate my car. 5 months since new and I just broke 1,000 miles.
Luxery cars that dont have depreciations, the ones in the dealership 🤣😂🤣
Cheers
Back in 07-09 you could get a 5 year old G-wagon for under 20k, nobody wanted them, after the Kardashians, you're lucky to get an 03 now for less than 30k.
While here watching ads. Dude. Just list the top five Lexus models.
Nice
Pretty limited consumer interest for a Mercedes Benz AMG G Class. You're looking at a price of $309,000 new, plus that bulletproof tank with the "industrial handles" gets around 18.1 city / 14.7 hwy litres per 100 KM. So it would cost you about $15,000 more over 5 years than the average new vehicle just for the premium fuel it guzzles. I guess if you have the big bucks to buy one you don't really care about gas mileage. Not exactly a commuter vehicle.
Macan hood opens like a Mini Cooper not an old Jag but ok
Yes that’s fine indeed. Kinda cool really
AMERICAN AND JAPAN CARS FOOD MOVIES AND PEOPLES LIFE THE BEST
G wagons are highly overrated, if you take one of them off road compared to a forerunner, they wouldn’t even compete
They are pricey, but fairly capable
I almost clicked off thus video when he pointed at that Mitsubishi. Rs. 😂😂😂
Haha
Cars that won't depreciation: "look, I has beautiful tires, beautiful doors, look, beautiful mirrors, oh look, beautiful seats, and look, beautifully grill, oh, and a gorgeous emblem, look here, an amazing sunroof, look at these wheels....". That's what this sounds like. A description of car parts, full of adjectives.
They might hold their value, but you better have won the lottery to pay for repairs
With some
I really want a BMW
There are some cool ones for sure
911 and Panmera have FLAT 6 cylinder engine. By the time it reaches 90000 miles it will have oil leak and many other problems.
PORSCHE IS ONE OF THE BEST MANUFACTURERS TODAY.
THOSE CARS MEAN QUALITY
NO ONE BENZ JAG OR BMW CAN STAND UP TO PORSCHE
RICE EATERS HAVE NO CHANCE TO STAND UP BESIDE PORSCHE.
VW Diesels was the best in the world for that reason destroyed VW Diesel in North America.
I wish I own PORSCHE Diesel.
North American money wastes land only profiteers in the power.
Mechanics who do not know what is the proper tire pressure for the car.
Oil change after 20.000km oh so nice my car engine is the best ha ha ha - after 50.000km oh many problems no power and repair price need new engine ha ha ha
I do agree about Porsche and while they are pricey to maintain, they are much better built and certainly more reliable than most of their rivals.
(Sigh) I love the M2
Porsche Macan's 42% depreciation in 5 years is nothing to sing about.
Their 911's depreciate only around 10% over same time frame however is.
G wagon ❤
Kicking myself for not buying the M2 CS back in 2020 😢
My father bought the 2021 bmw x5 in early 2021. 1 whole year later BMW asked if they could buy it back for the SAME price because of the shortage of microchips…
Cheers
"This vehicle is LITERALLY gorgeous".
I don't understand what that means because "literally" doesn't mean "VERY"...it means "literally". Please people. Please.
Thanks for watching
PORSCHE can be expensive to maintain when the owner does not know anything about cars.
Look even the cheapest cars today lady driven become the biggest ripoff in the service.
Never look at Factory corrupted Service Centers * By default making problems plus charge lots - that super Tech at the end of the year expecting to get a bonus from the Service center owners.
Oil Change is not different as for GM or Ford Cars do not need a super-specialist who does not know what is proper tire pressure for a vehicle - Tires are the same no different only size and profiles are different from other cars - When the Owner is not dependent on opinions on how to maintain a PORSCHE car can last forever - needs only change engine Oil good Qualities made in Germany more frequently not after 20.000 or 40.000km be nice after 7000.00km - is not expensive - Wash with German made Car Shampoo yes is very different from our made plus protecting the paint.
Original German-made Antifreeze.
Very simple things and are not expensive in many situations we can buy much cheaper from those products locally made.
Open eyes on components after a long time of use and big millage.
Alternator - Water Pump - Those Items can't last forever - life is limited as our Humen we can't live forever.
Engines in humans' way used last forever.
Look who is driving PORSCHE?
All smart and educated people - Doctors - Lawyers - Professors
Even buying a used PORSCHE from them is good
The worst when we buying used PORSCHE or Different cars from peoples who belong to different class peoples where 6-pack beer have more value from frequent engine Oil change.
For some reason, I always feel the Porsche front looks weird.
Thanks and I appreciate your feedback. Some great thoughts and definitely worth taking in. You are right we are certainly car enthusiasts and as such it’s all in the details. Have a great weekend.
Women are interested in structural strength, horse power, reliability, safty, as well as price.
@@ariesmight6978 not when you generalize, which I'm obviously doing. The women you mention exist but are more rare when compared to the average man.
Nice Cars, but they all depreciate except ford gt and Bugatti, 75 to 80 thousand miles then the repair bills kick in
In few weeks the very same cars will appear in another video with title: 5 luxury cars will remortgage your house
Which m2 is most reliable lol which year?
I am only watching this as a background noise. But out of all of these, only the chepaer Lexii, G-class and 911 will hold value. The maintenance on the 911 and Macan will bury you, and the G-class is a thieves magnet. So, in reality, just buy a Lexus.
Literally!!!
yes
Nothing like buying a low mileage super depreciated euro for cheap
Good value for some of them
Watching this as a Tesla owner 🌚👀
200,000 G wagon becomes 150,000 after 5 years how is that no depreciation
If you can afford these cars to begin with why not just go buy a brand new one vs a used one thats just 15% less.
The cost of maintenance and insurance blows up every one of these except the Lexus. The G-Wagon AMG G63 is over 180K+ new This video is misleading in the extreme.
Beuuuutiful
Nice
how about the 550 value 2019- beyond?
You are philosophing too much 😁.
In what way?
Until they end up in the shop
