I tend to do this edgy look often and my reason is added mystery and intrigue. The statement I try to say is “I have a lot of deep emotions and I may be a little sensual and dangerous “ but I don’t know that it’s all the way to “stay away” or something lol.
I’m left up. The aesthetic I go towards is a dark vampire or edgy rocker vibe.

you’re have a fair point about color season. the thing about looking edgy is that you are creating an effect of tension in your look. so actually, black can look quite edgy on MOST color seasons… depending on your season, it can look quite gothic and severe, it can really suck the color out of your skin, etc, and that’s kind of the POINT when dressing gothic, punk, etc. For those of us that have black in our color season, black often looks elegant and classic, we look healthy and vibrant wearing it. we can create tension in other ways, but if we want to look real gothic or dead inside, we might need to pick a totally different color that does that for us (as a bright winter, dark colors that aren’t black and that are desaturated/soft would probably do it for me, though dressing against kibbe type would also help me create tension)

As a dark winter, I totally agree with you.

yeah I can wear all black and look chic and minimalist and elegant and it really annoys me at times, especially when I used to TRY to be edgy, how do you create that tension in other ways then?

Im so early 😍🥳🙈 so so excited for this 😭 Im an amethyst and this is so meeeeeee. Im definitely a confident rebel. I love lots of different dark aesthetics like whimsigoth, southern gothic/victorian gothic, dark romantic academia, vamp, and sometimes grunge. All the photos you picked for amethyst resonate so much. You look so pretty !! 💙💜💙💜

Every autumn/winter I end up incorporating more of this style I had in my early 20s…and that’s 10 years ago. I love all the texture and it feels somewhat fancy to me because of all the details

This is great content! I love this type of style but as I get older I'm struggling to create more adult looks that still look cool.
Thank you very much for thinking of us

also for moonstones, look at what taylor swift has been doing this fall and winter. she’s been going more edgy and moody sometimes, it’s almost like a “dark prep” vibe for her, and she’s continuing to incorporate the 1970s trends of the Midnights era by bringing in almost disco edge to her dressy looks. I think we’ll see her get edgier as we go into the new year, for the Reputation rerecord.

Thusfar I always concidered myself a RD/moonstone. Why? because I take my inspo from the outside world and implement that on myself to make myself feel a certain way. At the same time, those inspirations have always been very edgy ever since I was a teenager. I don't even own any blue jeans, theyre all skinny and black, my shoes are all very much leather (except for my converse - hello 00s emo) and rough and 95% of my shirts are bandtees. Recently Ive been super inspired by Crowley from Good Omens for example, Ive been implementing more snake textures, western boots and I even dyed by hair in a more reddish color and it made me feel super cool and confident. But now you're telling me that this kind of aesthetic can basically only be a left essence thing if you want to completely embrace it? I'm confused. What more important? the aesthetic/essence or the way you get there? because either my essence is wrong-ish or my way of getting there? unless I'm confusing LD and RD

I think it's a misunderstanding - I'm not telling you that! You can tune into the stream or look at my edgy moody pinterest for lots of dark/edgy/Moody looks which are fun for people using the Moonstone key 🌸

@@StyleThoughtsbyRita That's a relief, because I always believed every quadrant would be able to make their own version of an edgy look and in the facebook group I preached about that being possible and was faced with a lot of people who said that wasn't true and I was scared the people in the facebook group might've been right after all haha. They all called my Crowley inspired looks to be left, because the essence/aesthetic was left. In my views the psychology and the journey and the way of thinking is what determines the quadrant moreso than the aesthetic and in my case I really really really get there through a right down kind of way of thinking

@@Allesea159 people be tripping - the whole point of this series is to show how different quadrants and archetypes can work with the aesthetics they love! Hope you can watch the stream or recording for more details 🌸
