It is with this video I'm only now realizing that the sound for when a Skull Grunt spots you isn't "WHAT THE-?!" like I'd thought for so long, but instead "DOKURO!", the Japanese word for "skull"
Pokemon writing up until Team Skull was... ok, actually pretty good at times. But with Team Skull they've reached prime jRPG levels they still can't reach again. And no, cheap drama like ill dog and gazillion dead parents doesn't make for good writing. It's literally some edgy ROM hack jackshit, minus the charm. Dokuro Dan for the win!
Pokémon black and white 2 had a similar story with Hue, but with even lesser pay off than Pokémon scarlet and violets story I can give Pokémon scarlet and violet's story credit since its the only Pokémon game with an actual real consequence within its story that does not get retconned or resolved "with a slap in the face" like everyone lives and everyone is happy at the end like the other Pokémon games. Pokémon black 2 and white 2 has better end game ,so I expected Hue's story to be pretty petty and meaningless since Hue's ending to me was kind of lack luster it feels like nothing happened with Hue he just got over team plasma after he got Purrloin back . even Base Pokémon Black and White has a much better story than black 2 and white 2. Pokémon scarlet and violet and Pokémon diamond and pearl are pretty much the only Pokémon games with a consequence based ending with one of its characters losing someone they love ,or escaping there reality so both Gen games still leaves a dark tone even after Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and Pokémon Diamond and Pearl ends.

The fact that they always do their gang signs while they're talking is amazing
Mad respect to that level of commitment 😂

That grunt fails to realize that they NPCs can land 70% accuracy moves all day but it takes us 10 turns just to land one
The "luck" of the npcs and wild pokemon is ridiculous. I will never forgive kyogre for taking half of my team with sheer cold in emerald
i hate how anti-player pokemon is
it cheats with rng and mistreats people who payed money to give them a life
I mean, ohko moves chance of hitting is the same chance as focus blast missing
So basically they hit all the time
Focus blast has 50% accuracy
OHKOs have an accuracy rate of *25%*
