Plenty of armory buildings in NYC. Ft Hamilton US Army base in residential Bay Ridge Brooklyn area. By your claim then is the US Military a terrorist organization? Plenty of Israeli military and intelligence installations in residential areas. Critical thinking is a victim of bad mainstream journalism.
So my comment didn't post because maybe I cursed a little bit too much. I don't think that any terrorist group gives two rips about where they put their deadly munitions. I don't think they care if they harm the innocent or the enemy. Hospitals, schools, women children, the elderly and the sick are all fair game to these Abominations of human beings that left their humanity behind decades if not Generations ago. Whatever these entities are, they simply do not care and they're driven by evil. Israel has every right to defend herself but from where I sit here in America, it seems like she has been incredibly heavy-handed almost to the point of biblical proportions in the slaughter of the innocents in Gaza. Not every Palestinian is a terrorist for God's sake. I pray for peace in the region but honestly I don't have much hope for it.🙏🇺🇸💯😔💔⚘️
Excellent analysis as usual! Israel will probably try to dismantle Hezbollah and the other Iranian proxies like they did Hamas to remove the threats in their immediate neighborhood. Netanyahu also just said that Iran regime could be coming to an end sooner than people expect. I'm not sure if that's if he has a plan to do something or just saying that for other reasons.
The position there with the IN hopefully stepping in and reimplementing the agreement to be on the other side of the river would probably be the most intelligent thing for all parties and seeing the UN peacekeeping force is already there , let’s everyone save face . Nobody comes out a loser , not to say Israel is the winner , but that’s the original agreement, so they’ll all have to live with it , which is acceptable for now .This all being well enough, it gives room to open up discussion for a separate state , making it a two body state that is recognizes both the Palestinian Homeland & Israel
Always lovely to hear ian's analysis, but it's time like this that shows he has his blind spot too. And having his fairly confident prediction proven wrong just 1 day after the video is interesting. Now he's probably going to have to reframe it and say the ballistic missiles are merely a show and have no significance impacts
I think Bremmer underestimated Khamenei and the IRGC. They are committed to war with the Israelis, even though their chances of inflicting serious damage or winning is very low.
@@michaelwellen2866 I didn't say he was unfair. "Unthinking" may be somewhat harsh but closer to the gist of my comment. I think he just reflexively gloms onto takes that careerists in the state dept would approve of. It's a habit he's been able to build his own career on and, as I said, when I check his videos it's to make sure I'm getting "the narrative" on a given issue.
Ian, Gideon Saar has never been minister of defense, he was supposed to replace Galant before this whole Lebanon invasion took place. It seems he has given up since they are in the middle of a war.
As usual a great analysis, but a few things though: - Israel was not "asleep at the wheel" on Oct 7. It was intentional. Netanyahu needed a lifeline and Sinwar provided one, in exchange for all the money and support that Netanyahu so kindly supplied to Hamas over the many years. Netanyahu can only get elected if Israelis are scared, so he's been building up Hamas to become scarier and scarier, and the current conflict starting with Oct 7 is when he decided to finally break this piggy bank. 🐖 - Israel has destroyed Hamas?? If they did, then who keeps holding the hostages, and who's governing Gaza? 🤔 - Israel seems to be preparing for a ground invasion of Lebanon, or something to that effect, so I'm not sure if this is where the escalation ends. To me it seems more likely that Netanyahu intends to fully milk this cow while it's hot (or whatever). 🐄
I need your view on these issues, are they true or not. 2 million Israeli's have left Israel, many of military age. Israel will have a shortage of coal and natural gas which they use to produce electricity. Many countries have stopped commerce with Israel. Israel has internal conflicts that risk civil war. Israels' factories and construction projects need the grunt labor from Palestinians living in Gaza and have stalled.
Probably Israel's war in Lebanon will make Iran move closer to nukes. Certainly the pager thing will have shifted Iran's thinking about pursing nukes faster. Up until now, we've all agreed that indiscriminately using civilian devices are off limits. Now that's fair game and we live in a much more dangerous world. The Israelis are breaking down all kinds of norms and making the Middle East less safe. I hope Biden does something to force Israel to a ceasefire. He's gonna be known as the President that got us involved in 3 wars, Ukraine, Gaza, and Lebanon, possibly a Middle Eastern war with US troops pulled into it, and be responsible for Iran going nuclear. A far cry from when his former boss put in place a deal to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuke....strange dangerous times we live in.
All of us live on land once occupied by others. Abraham was at Mount Moriah 2,000 BC and then you’ve got the Israelites entering Israel 1,250 BC. Islam wasn’t even invented until 600 AD. If we go down this rabbit hole there will not be any place to live. All of North and South America were occupied by natives with many descendants still alive today. China has been occupied by different ethnicities. I live in Utah which was once part of Mexico…. Migration, immigration and occupation is the story of human history. All we can do is deal with today…and Israel has been a country for 70 years and isn’t going anywhere.

But Why is it not against the Geneva convention/UN charter for terrorists to store bombs under homes of “innocent” civilians?
I don’t think terrorists care about the Geneva convention. Russia certainly does not

While the Israeli prime minister is trying to stay out of legal entanglements. He should go after Iran next. Go big, or go to prison.

You forgot to mention that the Palestinians turned down multiple opportunities for their own state, last in 2008.
Bullshit! They were offered such a shitty deal it made no sense, besides you can never negotiate with Zionist as they are never in good faith
