Most early self sufficient cultures are similar due to the basic nature of wilderness survival. Everyone eventually learns similar survival skills and then form communities to reduce the labor needed to keep fed and warm
I guess it's because they're both tribal northern societies with similar climates and I heard somewhere that the tribes from the Pacific northwest could be related to the Ainu but maybe it's not true, I am not sure
well it’s probably a matter of practicality. if its dead winter and all you’ve got is a squirrel, the energy required to start a fire or wait until the meat freezes (along with any bacteria) outweighs the caloric value of the raw meat
@@reacher8042Cooking makes food loose bunch of nutrients in the form of leaking, but it also breaks down more complex ones to make them easier to digest. Where the sweet spot lies depends on the food - Humans are better at breaking down veggies, so the amount you loose is way bigger than the amount you gain while cooking. Meat is generally the opposite, it has bunch of complex proteins that just pass through unbroken, so you're better off cooking it There is one loophole though - soup! all the nutrients remain in the broth while cooking, so you get the benefits of both methods
This particular method was actually primarily used by the Ainu for preparing salmon head during the winter, and raw fish actually retains more nutrients than cooked fish.
can we all just appreciate the frame rate the fire is actually running at
ah yes the stockfire3.mp4
It was at this episode when I realized this show is a food anime

@@Serihell The new episode shows it

@@rextuy1 because the fights are to gory to show
You know when you're mom makes you food that you don't like then makes you eat it. That's how Asirpa is 😆😆😆
It's so fascinating how their culture mirrors a lot of North American tribes.

both the ainu and the native americans descend from prehistoric eurasian tribes, that's why
Very true I wish that the Native Americans were still alive
This was such an awesome moment.
0:38 why would they remove the face from the manga its hilarious, but i guess that's up to them to them

Don’t you get less nutrients eating it raw though? Heating or freezing bursts and breaks down the cells so your body can access more.
well it’s probably a matter of practicality. if its dead winter and all you’ve got is a squirrel, the energy required to start a fire or wait until the meat freezes (along with any bacteria) outweighs the caloric value of the raw meat
Well im not sure about that but I always here eating foods raw will give you more mutritiinal value but it's just hard to stomach it
@@reacher8042 You waste energy on digesting too so you might be at a loss there.

I’m surprised PETA hasn’t come all the way to ban this anime.
Shashindu Dodampahala with those CGI bears, I hope PETA intervenes
