Even rationally Ding is probably not worthy of the title right now, Magnus was an absolute beast during Ding's (And also Fabi) peak, so there was no chance he could have won the title back then. Despite chess can be a ruthless game, I still think he deserve the WCC title at least once in his life for all the plays and games he gave back then.
